I am meanwhile still hoping for a Black Templar group that remembered their founder Sigismund's lesson not to listen to random visions of the Emperor and do their duty as told and written.

They are somewhere out there, purging the Abominations filth by the sword, as it should be.
Don't count on it they forgot about them for a while.

Wouldn't Black Templars be like the first to fall to the Abomination? They epitomize the Imperial Creed in the most extreme way.
Yes. Very likely all or at least most Templars have fallen.

But their founder Sigismund got exiled from his fathers side for listening to a saint's prophecy and part of the reason he started that constant crusade the the Templars are on was to atone before Dorn. It is not completly impossible that some of his chapter remember that not-so-glorious part of their chapters history and reject any visions or commands from the Abomination.

1. Demons curses (even those of Khorne) are typically not so benign usually they're like bad luck curses the kind of all you do will fail ect. This one is a physical one however.
Ah, yeah, you just misspelled 'atypical', so instead people would read it as 'a typical', which is nonsense without a proper subject, so Durin took it as 'a typical ...', which, again, doesn't make much sense unless you're asking us what thing it is typical of.

It can be said the Ultramarines would be the first to fall due to their strict adherence to the Codex Astartes. It can be said the Flesh Tearers are Khorne bait due to their love of slaughter. It can be said the Blood Ravens would fall to Tzeentch because of the large number of psykers within their ranks.

Point is, don't underestimate the Astartes' ability to resist corruption. Just because a chapter seems tailor-made to be corrupted doesn't mean they will be.

Looking at stuff, I think we may want to take both forge-hive actions even if we run the risk of being invaded while they're being built up.

Because quite fundamentally we need the AM. In addition to the fact that we have a gigantic navy within the Trust, as well as some serious orbital defences (I mean that's the point of them, right?). We could well take an invasion that has been softened up by so, even with weakened defences.

I think we should take the Forge-Hive options for Avernus surface rather than space. They are cheaper and faster. They will also mean more AdMech on Avernus meaning more contact with Avernites and Avernite culture and constant survival pressure to think pragmatically. I would combine it with a Whispers of Change governor's action to suggest that Scott keep tech priests moving between the worlds of the trust so that the AdMech stays unified rather than growing apart. In particular she should rotate in some combat forces from other systems to help secure the expansion area - old Avernus hands should still make up the majority on that duty though.

I would like to try and make a case for reverse engineering some more stuff.

Examine: Vortex Torpedoes- One of the most deadly weapons in the ship gravyard are the handful of Vortex Torpedoes that you found scattered throughout. Archmagos Tranth believes that with a few years study he will be able to reverse engineer them enough to produce more, which would give you a devastating new weapon against future invasions.

Chance of Success: -90%. (14% after bonuses)
Reward: Gain blueprints for Vortex Torpedoes, on failure lose d6 Vortex Torpedoes.

Examine: Shield Breaker Rounds- The final form of ammunition for the Super-Exitus Rifle found seems to be a more effective, and complex, Shield Breaker Round. This round is incredibly complicated and Archmagos Explorator Tranth tells you that it will be incredibly hard to reverse engineer, or make once you have the engineering capability for it

Chance of Success: -65% (39% after bonuses)
Reward: Gain Blueprints of Shield Breaker Round, lose d10 Shield Breaker Rounds

Both of these are feasible, even more so if we can put assistance on the action.

We currently have 353 shield breaker rounds, and 31 vortex torpedoes.

On Advanced Material:

We have, pre-trade, a deficit of about 2.9 Million AM each year. EM, 8900 per year.

Now, obviously trade has it's place, but if a warp storm cut Avernus off, we would be fucked. Our reserves would deplete in one turn, and then we'd go back to Imperial era tech shortly after we can't maintain our stuff.

We have to pick more AM-producing options. It's really not something we can or should delay, even if war is impending.

Diplomacy… well we can always look for new targets.

@Durin
1. Can we send diplomats to the Dragons?
2. Are there any more groups/species on Avernus (that we have found) that we can interact with diplomatically?

Other than that I would suggest trying to improve relations with the Quartok.

Especially since warp storm is not the only possibility- in a war raiders and fleet actions can lead to significant disruption of trade. So to be self sufficient is extremely important.

1. no
2. possibly Sphinxes, also the Pengiuns but you would have to go to the poles for that and you don't have any diplomats suicidal enough

Ok, I've taken in the feedback thus far and made adjustments. Posting the plan to vote on since it's been over 24 hours since the update. Still open to some changes.

Sure we want to found another new city?

There aren't any other good alternative actions in the Administratum section right now because the defense upgrades are too expensive, and we need to get Dalat filled out anyways - we won't be able to add it to the rail network until then. At least with it being built now, expedited, and in the Delta it will be defensible against attackers.

Enjou, are you sure you want to put off the Forge-City expansions? We're suffering on AM here.

Like, Economics > Military.
