I'll try to work on something to represent the Spine getting a majority of the OpFor's attention later. For now, have...

Post Campaign Analysis

Slaaneshi Incursion, Avernus. M43.----
Analysis of Week 1, Region Alpha/City Primaris

Opfor: Slaaneshi Deamons
-Designation: Hoard Alpha (Section 1.2.1)
-Leader: Keeper of Secrets, True name irrelivant, Designated Alpha Actual (Section 1.2.2)

Overview
In hindsight, it looks like the OpFor's Hoard Alpha represented the lion's share of what was available during the opening phase of the campaign. While the forces sent against Dis were quite sizable, it came at the direct cost the overall size of what was thrown at the Azure Islands and Lindon (Section 3.1.2). From what we've manage to gather, we at the analysis branch think that Alpha Actual intended to split his forces after overwhelming Dis, with his next targets being Milkwood and Storm's End (S 3.2.8). With his death, the OpFor fell to it's typical infighting, resulting a mass diffusion of force. As an additional boon, this resulted in Avernus being able to greatly increase what it could extract as it's tithe (S 4.2.3, Figure 23c).

Wildlife Participation
As another positive result, Dis did not suffer from significant damage from the wildlife during this time period (S 4.1.1). While it is confirmed that multiple Magma Worms were operating in the immediate vicinity, including at least one of the Giant variety, it seems none felt the need to intrude on the city proper (S 4.1.2). This is attributed to the local forces managing to prevent the OpFor from establishing a major breach, limiting the number of Daemons that were in the city at any one time. It is convinced the Worms (or the Planet Mind) that it was not worth the opportunity cost of pursuit (S 4.4.1). Simply put, they could kill more Deamons out in the open than they could by entering the mountain.

Political Infighting
A significant portion of this analysis team believes that the single greatest result of the Second Battle of Dis is the resulting power struggles that it caused among the upper echelons of the OpFor (S 3.1.1). While the forces of Chaos are prone to such things, this was on a whole different scale. An ordinary human (although many object to calling the Governor "Ordinary') gave a Keeper of Secrets, a Greater Deamon of Slaanesh, a True Death with trivial ease. This sent a political shockwave that reverberated throughout the entire invasion force, setting off an appropriately insane series of power struggles and political maneuvers, more in line with what is expected from the forces of Tzeentch than the Prince of Pleasure. Further analysis of this will take much longer, and likely be an even greater undertaking that the entirety of this full analysis. For a brief overview, see Section 4.1.1.

This resulted in a certain sluggishness in the forces arrayed against Lindon and the Azure Isles. It has been determined that the Leaders of Hoard Beta and Gamma were significant political enemies of Alpha Actual, and took the opportunity to expand their power base via impressing the deceased's forces (S 4.1.3). This came at the cost of direct focus on the actual campaign itself, resulting in reduced effectiveness of the OpFor in these theatres. Local forces used the opportunity to establish defensive lines and to take more effective counter measures, resulting in decreased losses.

So @durin since Sanctus Furorem is canon does that mean atleast one of our Warlord titans is a Mars Pattern? And if so are the others the same or is Furorem the only one and thus more if a special snow flake since Mars Pattern warlords are stupidly rare?

Daemonic Incursion Part Four: The Azure Islands
Daemonic Incursion Part Four: The Azure Islands

The Azure Islands was the scene of several massive fights between the monsters of the depths and the daemonic invaders. While the daemons were generally and scattered the fights often caused major damage to the cities of The Azure Islands, with the surviving daemons taking full advantage of the breaches that this caused. As a result of this, and several tens of million of kills by Deep Ones, the Azure Islands lost around forty percent of both the general population and of the military forces. This is around four million soldiers and two hundred and fifty million militiamen, a most grievous loss indeed.

There was only one Chaos Psyker of appreciable power in this region, a Gamma-level Diviner/Daemonologist in The Fair Isle who killed 1,250,000 militiamen, 14,400 PDF Troopers, 8,500 Helltrooper, 200 Witch Hunters, 25 Witch Sniffers, 30 minor Battle Psykers, 9 minor Veteran Battle Psykers and one Major Battle Psyker (Zeta Diviner).

The new psyker city, as yet unnamed, in the north-west of the Azure Islands came under far heavier attack then the rest of the islands, most likely a result of the presence of over ten thousand psykers. Despite the best efforts of Primaris Xavier, who personally killed tens of thousands of attacking daemons including a daemon prince, and Henry who acted as military leader almost three quarters o the defenders fell in battle. You were grieved to hear that among the casualties was Henry, who was killed by a group of Seekers who bypassed the main defences. Henry was your last real connection to your life before Avernus and is probably the one person that you valued more then Freya when she was alive. It takes a few minutes for you to repress your grief over Henry's death, you can grieve later, and return your attention to the reports. There was only a few more reports from the Azure Islands, with Archmagos Biologis Saren reporting that despite suffering major damage his research facility survived following the Island Turtle and Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan who reports that the embassy was not attacked in any manner, with even the psykers reporting that there was no more pressure on their minds then normal.

Ouch, Poor Henry. Figured we wouldn't walk out this without scars but... damn.
