If we're talking 20 minutes a piece to write, all at once.

If we're talking an hour or two plus, one at a time.

If it's in between, you choose.

Also, what's crazy is that I've got like four or five other omake ideas for the near future too. It ended up working so that one omake would prompt another for me.

Edit: I am going to hold off on them for a bit. Honestly, I feel like the quality (if not the technical accuracy) of my omakes started to drop off as I got stuck in a bit of a rut and didn't really spend the time to polish.

Daemonic Incursion Part Two: Dis
Daemonic Incursion Part Two: Dis

In total the Daemonic Incursion lasted a bit over three weeks, during which every city in Avernus came under repeated attacks and cultist and Chaos Psykers wreaked havoc. The daemons were eventually driven back by the forces of Avernus, with many previously unknown species showing themselves. Once the incursion finished you could make contact with the rest of Avernus and recvied their intial reports.

You and the forces of Dis came under particularly heavy assault, with a massive daemonic horde under the control of a Keeper of Secrets battering the walls and tempting the defenders. This assault finished after a bit over a week, shortly after the largest of the breakthroughs. The breakthrough consisted of the Keeper of Secrets personally smashed a hole in the city walls directly in front of you and attempted to kill you. Much to both of your surprises your seemingly doomed attempt to parry the first blow was not only successful but cut of the claws that were making the blow. As the Keeper of Secrets was stunned for a second by the pain you took advantage of the opening and killed it with a single blow. Your Black Crystal Jewellery and Sword seem to be a incredible advantage against daemons. After the Keeper of Secrets was killed the daemons quickly retreated and avoided Dis for the remainder of the campaign. Around ten million soldiers and eighty million militiamen died fighting the daemons and to the earthquakes. There were two major chaos psykers in Dis during the invasion, who between them killed 36,000 militiamen, 4,000 Helltroopers, 56 Psyker Hunters, 30 Witch Sniffers, 66 minor Battle Psykers, 23 Veteran Minor Battle Psykers, and 2 major Battle Psykers(1 Zeta Biomancer, 1 Zeta Pyromancer).

During the attacks on Dis the Governor's Own, including Primaris Odysseus were incredible, regularly retaking lost sections of the walls and hunting down the groups of daemons that made it though. Much to your surprise Caroline, despite having average at best combat skills also distinguished herself fighting against cultists.

Dis Defenders d100= 6+59(Martial)+20(defences)-5(north)-20(capital)+50(heroics)+7(Governor's Own)+25(Omake)=132: 1.7% of the population killed
Rotbart d100=88+32(combat)+14(piety)+20(Equipment)+20(Guards)+20(situation)-50(Luck)-30(High Priority Target)+30(Governor's Own)+37(Omake)=180 Critical Survive
Caroline d100=96+8(combat)+7(piety)+20(situation)+20(low priority target)+12(Omake)=163: Critical Survive
Lieutenant-General Eichel d100=71+19(combat)-4(piety)+20(situation)-10(general)+12(Omake)=108: Survive
Primaris Odysseus d100=78+50(skills and powers)-20(psyker)+15(Governor's Own)+22(Omake)=143: Critical Survive
Governor's Own d100=95+59(Martial)+25(skill)+20(equipment)+20(situation)+22(Omake)=241: Critical Success

[/spoiler]

smashing a hole? Grammer bit here I beleive. Overall, awesome rolls :D

Hmm, with these rolls, do you think the failure here ranks up there along with the failed invasions of Cadia when the Imperium was still in one piece?

We are going to be viewed as a god after the Trust hears we ate a Keeper for breakfast, Clark-tech sword or not.

@durin any of the more latest omakes have any positive affect as well?

Also Rotbart took on a Greater Daemon on his own and won. Let that sink in for a sec.:D

1.7% population loss in a Daemon invasion is f%*#ing amazing way to go Avernus (I almost forgive your for killing Freya... almost) so @durin we gonna get details of the new species at the end of the posts?

I kinda want Lin to give this speech to the planet population.

Unfortunately I found my muse murdered in a ditch off the I40 so someone else would have to write up the Omake.

you know, I wonder what the fallout from this attack will be in the warp. demons being banished en mass is just another tuesday, but the amount of demons being perma killed in this fight is proably shockingly high. While it certainly won't noticeably weaken Slaanesh, there are proably a fair number of mid to high ranking demons/demon princes who are about to find there position in Slaanesh's court severely impacted. Given Slaanesh is in war to the hilt with the abomination that disruption might actually end up costing Slaanesh something important.

Be noted, that's a 1.7% Population loss for Dis, not Avernus. Avernus as a planet could easily be going worse for all we know.

Hey guys what's-

*returns after not keeping up with the quest for a while only to see that Avernus has casually defeated a deamonic incursion with Rotbart personally killing a greater daemon in combat*

...You know for some reason I am not really suprised at this news.

Yeah, we lose that level of population every other turn so no big deal.

Comes with living on a Deathworld I guess.

Now hope the others did as well.
That's still about 1 in every 50 people in Dis killed in just this attack alone. If not for our massive growth rate (I mean really do our woman spend most their lives on their backs and all have triplets or something cause I don't see how we keep up with this kind of death rate) this would have crippled us for years or decades.

our population growth is helped by the fact our citizens are starting to have the ability to keep having kids even in their triple digits thanks to rejuv, that's a factor that will snowball at somepoint
