you do not know and no you can't
YOU HAVE NO COMMUNICATIONS OR WAY TO CONTACT PEOPLE OTHER THEN SENDING A MESSENGER
I know, the trolls have no communications of that sort anyway, I was asking if we could send a messenger to the ones in the spine, near Dis, Spikey Basalt I think his name was.

no, to far to safely send a messenger and to be honest sending anyone out of the void shields has a 50% chance of killing them

Ok, just making sure, no radio communications just checking.

Still
1. this may give us the push we need to convince Vanahiem ect. that we should open up more to da trolls and the Sirens.
2. Why do I get the feeling that space crazy vally and the time twisted planes are going absolutly NUTS.
3. Do we have a chance of seeing some of the wildlife we have yet to find? Like the bats and the vultures?

How the heck would they know what we mean?
By the color of the signals?

Blue = Safe
Red = Attacked
White = Come
Yellow = Run

Maybe if they were discussed beforehand..

I suppose in the future we could hunt for a Laser Communicator STC. Probably woukd be more reliable than radio signals in such a situation.

Maybe we could fire dummy missile with messages attached?

If someone does a really gud omake, but I doubt it. I don't even know if they see color we do and defiantly don't attach the same meaning to certain colors as us.

Oh, what's currently happening to the University that's under construction in the Azure Isles, by the way?

(Was Ridcully unable to predict the daemonic incursion?)

he failed the roll to predict the invasion
given that it was a whim of either the Prince of Pleasure or one of his/her greater daemons that is not surprising

Will we get to see the combat rolls between the Epilson Penguins/Solomonin Seals/Blank Bears and Daemons?

@durin: Are you reading the unwritten omakes I have in my mind?

The next thing I was gonna write for this quest was the Avernites on Cadia royally pissing off Slaanesh...

I'm more afraid of some of the things in atom bomb vally coming out to play.

I'd be more happy if ya wrote stuff to ensure our awesome MC's survive :D

Also the daemons are coming from the north and having to fight past the main resistance, the wildlife which is going all out (the earthquake are not the results of daemons).
Given how much you have told us about the bullshit on Avernus, as well as the things you have only hinted at, I don't see how they could succeed. And if they did mange it, considering how many elite troops fall to wildlife every year, I don't see how we could survive.

Daemonic Incursion Canon Omakes: Last transmission
First time doing anything even slightly significant in this thread so....

Omake: Last transmission

The platoon was scared shitless. The sky was the wrong colour. Coms had been cut. The sanctionite had tried to kill them all, and had almost succeeded. Gunning down a comrade never helps morale.

Things got worse when the CO said this was probably to do with demons. Troopers who'd been fighting on and against Averneus for decades curled up, and started crying. They'd all thought they'd hold together against any odds, but the men and women of the unit were being overcome with dispair, not of there own minds but as a poison of the invaders, being spread around the planet.

The vox unit started screaming static, and if you'd asked the troopers, they'd have sworn they could hear demonic moans, although on the mission recording they were clearly absent. The moans cut out and through the static they heard a voice, golden, like treacle.

"Love the Emperor

for He is the salvation of mankind

Obey His words

for He will lead you into the light of the future

Heed His wisdom

for He will protect you from evil

Whisper His prayers with devotion,

for they will save your soul

Honour His servants,

for they speak in His voice

Tremble before His majesty,

for we all walk in His immortal shadow"

The terror lifted from the platoon as the instantly recognisable voice of the living saint worked his way through the prayer.

"People of Averneus. Even on this darkest of days the emperor does not desert you. Stand strong, fight hard, and remember, the emperor protects"

Lin turned to Ridcully, and nodded. The psyker took his hands off the large voxcaster, and the transmission stopped.

The gamma was exhausted, but still seemed sane. Lin had been glad they were together. One of the helltroopers started to ask Lin why he'd not communicated anything strategic.

"The message was compromised by the demons. If anyone else had tried that they'd be two large demonspawns standing here. Hell is outside. The people need to know the emperor has not forsaken them. This matters more than a handful of orders".

The trooper turned away, suddenly looking sheepish.
