I got distracted by Stellaris and forgot to check back before the vote closed, but thanks a lot for making the switch.

For the same reasons (Avernus needing a ground commander) as last time, though I wouldn't mind if naval won.

Also, maybe, in a few turns time, we could get another wife and child.

there is a good chance she will end up with a generalist trait that allows her to command both ground and void forces but give her a penalty for both
there is a reason that there are usually admiral and generals, not people who act as both
the exceptions are usually Space Marines or other non-humans

Hell that changes things. Can she break the maluses and become a great notable commander in at least one aspect?
My ideal is for Syr to be a good naval admiral and a great ground general. Contrast with Frederick's "merely" above average naval skills to legendary ground skills.

Hmm. More elitism than I'd prefer, but snobbery and a sense of superiority tends to come with being part of an elite group of any kind.

Says something when the entire population of the planet qualifies as elite though.

Screw it We're Avernus, not Vanaheim. We'll come back to sending her to naval academy in a decade or two once she's solidly grounded in ground combat.

If she did Helltroopers and navy could that let her spicalize in void infantry? The Helltroopers teach her how to lead assuelt teams and the navy to learn how to fight in ships and what to break.

Edit: speaking of, whatever happened to the 100 void infantry regaments we made after the Ork attack? It's not list in the military summary and we didn't take them to fight the Dark Eldar.
