God. Any Petty Imperiums near us are going to go NUTS when they find us. 7.5 million power armor suits? That's the sort of thing you throw into Black Crusades. I giggle at the thought of a local Petty Imperium deciding to invade us.
This will not suffice.

We need jetpack troops. Going by Terran motif our Reaper units are missing.

How are we supposed to get past the most challenging cliffs? There is no more dangerous obstacle than the cliff.

@durin for the sake of simplicity (even if it involves a little handwaving) might i recommend having the High Council meet at the end of each turn and just eat one of the first year PAs in the future. because i imagine that it is going to be a little annoying for those who will write the report to not include the major events from the last year or two (especially this time).
I plan to

Then we shall have to solve that, won't we?
the Imperium had buffer zones larger then you can travel in a year and had trillions of reserves
your biggest problem is that while your troops are a order of magnitude more deadly then the Imperiums if not more you lack their ability to throw army after army at a problem
also a lot of other armies are going to get more deadly then their 40k equivalents, the Eldar already ahve

I mean look how fucked up our military got at Fjol, it took us 9 years to rebuild. That wasn't an important world in the galaxy, it was just important to us to stop future DE raiders.

So we have different problems than the Imperium. No reason we can't carry on the Emperor's Mission. But I must admit, we need to put our house in order before we look beyond our current borders.

We shall have our work cut out for us, my friends. And a long wait before anything can be done.

:eyeroll:Dude, we literally all know that.

We did when the Imperium fell.

That was the point of the quest in the first place :p :D

Banshee Tactical Strike Craft
And here's my Banshee entry. It's on the lower end of what DAoT forces deployed, but was more than good enough once SEAD operations had been concluded. The armor was considered to be rather thin for it's mass, factoring relative durability.

Banshee Tactical Strike Craft
The Banshee is a dedicated ground attack/support aircraft. It is a hybrid vehicle, with primary lift capacity being provided by grav-plates, with motive thrust being provided by either low profile thrusters or a set of enclosed repulsion-rotors. The rotors are used to provide a stealth approach capability, removing the thruster's heat signature. The Hull of the craft if composed of a sensor absorbing/deflecting composite material, less protective for its mass compared to conventional alloys, but enabling it to escape the notice of enemy air defense in the first place. While it can be defeated by what was considered to be sophisticated sensor systems, it is more than enough to defeat the tools of today's less advanced foes.

The primary armament of the Banshee is pair of magazine fed air-to-ground missile launchers. These Backlash missiles have 25% greater yield and 50% greater range than current models, and are primarily designed to take out armored targets. While somewhat suboptimal against large numbers of infantry, Backlash missiles enable surgical strikes to take out key vehicles and installations from beyond the reach of most local defense systems. Alternative Shockwave missiles are substantially more effective against infantry, capable of destroying entire platoons in a single 4 missile salvo.

Goliath Combat Walker
Here's the Goliath. It's armor is only somewhat better than the current Avernus-pattern, being about as tough as an Imperial-era Chimera. It's documentation is rife with suggestions that it should only be used in rough terrain, and nowhere near anything that can mount a Battle Cannon.

Goliath Combat Walker
The Goliath can be considered to be a halfway step between the Sentinel and the Knight-Titan. Substantially larger and better armed than the former, and much cheaper and less effective than the later. At the time of the fall, it was the most vulnerable class of vehicle still in active combat service, with no less than 28 sub-patterns developed over its millennia long career. It's Dual Heavy Neutron Repeaters were always solid performers against lighter foes, and it's Hellfire Missiles were considered to be some of the most effective guided AA weapons ever mounted on a light mobile platform. Towards the end of it's life it had become a somewhat niche platform, but it remained one of the most effective infantry support platforms commonly available.

The problem is that Starcraft had such a wide varity of feasable vehicles and weapons.

I'm, thinking of looking at Halo, but comparatively it looks a bit... mundane, unless you let us get the hard light stuff.
Halo's UNSC is horribly low tech, nothing to really take there until you get to beasts like the Infinity.
Hey, I think one of the Super Battleships might be an Infinity-expy. @durin is this the case?

Even the infinity as far as I can tell is a bit low tech.

The hard light stuff is good and DAoT had hard light, but that is about it.

The only other good thing is Spartan super soldiers, relatively mass producible no reliance on gene modding as far as I can tell, the problem is I can think of no way of getting it short of an intact STC.

just as a note, you don't have to restrict yourself to Starcraft vehicles and technology
I already came up with them in an earlier piece. This is just flushing that out. I'm going to work on an original light hover tank next. Fluff is that Tranth found the speculative notes and half completed design in the chief engineer's office, and wanted to see if he could finish them. Completing the work of the Ancients would be a big deal for the Ad Mech.

Yeah I came up for ones of Digi weapons and quantum entaglement communicators.

I thinks its a kilometer long battleship the UNSC made as a **** you coveanent, you may have hit us but we are akc and better than ever.

It crashed on a dysonsphere on its first mission.
Infinity is 5 kilometers long by the way. The Pillar of Autumn is 1.2 kilometers long. Standard UNSC carriers are like 3 kilometers long.

Of course, it's not as big as the CSO-class supercarriers but it has nicer guns.
