Yes, they will be ready for repair

Ok then, switched to surveying the Above Battleships now so we can get started on that chain of actions sooner.

This isn't really important. We don't have domestic supply line issues and the odds of us going on an offworld campaign in the next few decades are very low. Instead, I suggest doing Pilot Armour: Helguard and Elite Specialists for both the long-term and the short-term bonuses.

On the other hand he wants to be sure it's done before the next off-world campaign, which could be at any time. Uncertainty is a bitch.

I could be convinced to switch this though as I don't feel all that strongly about it - does anyone else have any thoughts?

Tutor Syr. Definitely tutor Syr. We need her to get higher Piety to train her in Diplomacy and Learning and Piety is her lowest stat. Her Combat's already pretty good and it's only going to get better with Jane's training.

Replace tutoring Syr with something else (reasons mentioned before). I recommend Spend Time with Family because it's very close to Syr's 18th birthday and I really want her inhereiting our stats and traits. If not, do a PA action.

I'm kind of thinking that we should do the Shadows action this turn, because we'll have limited personal slots for a few years after next turn as we're going to start the Naval Academy actions next year.

This is actually a bad time for a Whispers of Change action. There is unrest building in the Mechanicus because of all the change and adding more change is only going to make it worse.

Whispers is just us making suggestions to Fabricator General Britton - the actual points in time he would implement our changes would be up to him, and done over time. It should also be noted that the AdMech has 20/10 morale. @durin - what is the extent of the unrest in the AdMech?

I'd much rather have our supply lines far more secure sooner than have our armor pilots, who are all ready very well protected, a bit better protected. We can just start pilot armor next turn since our army will finally be back to full strength.

hard to tell but on low end 2-4/10

Next turn we should get Phase Tiger armor since we will have free both a Military and a Forge action at the same time

@durin
Last turn you allowed a tutoring Syr action in Administration. I can not follow the math. She already had a score of 17 and her father one of 27. Was the action illegal and wasted no matter the outcome? You once said the limit was teach stat subtracted by ten is the highest stat the teach can train Syr to. Has that changed?

I would really like to try to teach Syr a bit more in Martial. The base chance is only 10% for it but because of Fredericks high state (10% + 47 stat + 5 palace = any dice between 100 and 38) just as good as an Administration tutoring (30% + 27 stat + 5 palace = any dice between 100 and 38).

Can I garner any goodwill for that among the questers?

Plan:

Military:

[X] Air Superiority
6,960,000 Thrones, 860,100 Material, 302,500 Promethium.
[X] Super Heavy Transport
164,700 Thrones, 82,350 Material, 91,500 Promethium, 6,880 Advanced Material, 48 Exotic Material.

Considered More Specialists instead, but feel these are the two priorities.

Administration:

[X] Underground Railways: Expand
240,000,000 Thrones, 80,000,000 Material, 200,000,000 Metal, 40,000,000 Promethium, 8,000 Advanced Material.
-[X] Expedite: Underground Railways: Expand
240,000,000 Thrones, 80,000,000 Material, 200,000,000 Metal, 40,000,000 Promethium, 8,000 Advanced Material.
[X] Personal Attention: Administratum Reorganisation: Part Four
66,500,000 Thrones.
-[X] Double Down: Administratum Reorganisation: Part Four
66,500,000 Thrones.

We can spare the action for these now.

Diplomacy:

[X] Sound Out (Exporting Psyker Hunters to the Rest of the Imperial Trust)
144,000 Thrones.

We only have two more years before our Expanded Psyker Hunter Schools come on line, so we ought to get this. I figure one diplomacy action devoted to Troll, and one devoted to other actions.

Arbites:

[X] Way of the Blade (Syr)
Free

Mechanicus:

[X] Survey Ship Graveyard: Above Battleships
6,100,000 Thrones, 305,000 Material, 122,000 Promethium, 192 Advanced Material
[X] Kraken Hunters
6,100,000 Thrones, 1,220,00 Material, 61,000 Promethium, 8,600 Advanced Material.

Ministorum:

[X] Tutoring (Syr)
Free

Hopefully we can get this and then get some diplomacy training.

Personal:

[X] Discuss Syr's future with her: Tell her stories about the rest of the Imperial Trust and your desire for her to experience and know more about it. Begin planning a schedule for Sy, including when to attend the Avernite Officer School, and when to visit various systems.
[X] Whispers of Change (Safely Shutdown Xenos Technology)
-[X] On Fjol IV things would have gone a lot better if the Mechanicus could shutdown Xenos technology safely. Who else could be trusted to deal with such a dangerous responsibility?

Let's do the Whispers of change in a bite size piece first.

You're basically just saying we should Spend Time with Family.

With a specific purpose in mind.

It might get into a bit of a ramble at points as I tend to wax verbose, but I prefer to be sure I get my point across. Britton is the head of a religious organization, so in many ways he needs religious arguments. Suggested improvements are welcome.

I prefer to start with shutting down xenos tech safely. We can push for additional liberalization later.

is there any projects that you want to see in the next few years, I am looking for more inspiration

Upgrades for the Colliga to handle ships and ship technology
Biologis Colliga to research more wildlife
Actions involving the Sirens (communicating with, taming)
Actions for expanding living space/defenses on the moons
Actions related to preparing for Syr's grand tour

@durin Thoughts on the below?

I think we ought to have a chance to sit down and talk to Syr about her future. Obviously she should attend the military academy, but we should also discuss the importance of knowing more about the rest of the Imperial Trust.

Tell her stories of Lord Marshall Sigurd, Lady Sif, and the Aesir of Asgard. Tell her about the knowledgeable Champion Surt, and how Muspelhiem still retains the secrets of the Dark Age of Technology. Tell her about the Artisans of Svartalfheim, and the farms of Alfheim (sharing some of our own personal impressions). Tell Syr about the Hives of Midgard, and some of our war stories, along with talking about our friendship with Governor-General Aelfric Abingdon "The Timeless." Ask Freya to tell Syr some stories about her uncles at Vanaheim, and the massive shipyards and Imperial Navy. Talk to her about the massive Civil War on Jotunheim, the involvement of the Black Irons, Governor Garp, and the Ogyrns. Talk to her about the mysterious Nilfheim, and how little we really know about them.

I just think it's time to begin broadening Syr's horizons, play on her Curious trait, and help her to feel that she is joining her parent's world which is much bigger than she realized. (I know I always enjoyed it when my father took me along on business with him, and I met his various friends and associates).

Then we can talk with her about scheduling, and when would be a good time to attend the Officer's school, and when would be a good time to visit the other planets.

I was thinking that we probably need to do the following actions:

1: Personal Action: Discuss Syr's future with her: Tell her stories about the rest of the Imperial Trust and your desire for her to experience and know more about it. Begin planning a schedule for Sy, including when to attend the Avernite Officer School, and when to visit various systems.

2: Diplomacy Action: Sound Out (Grand Tour): Discuss with the other Systems your desire to send Syr on a grand tour of the Imperial Trust. Work out dates, schedules, etc.

3: Personal Action: Select Syr Chaperone/Assistant: Select an assistant and chaperone for Syr when she goes off planet to aid her in her duties/studies. (Produce list of candidates).

That personal action. Just yes.

We need to train our heir.

[X] Enjou

@Enjou we sure we want to add another change to the Admech right now while there is unrest?

Also @durin anything we can do to calm the Admech unrest? Maybe getting that full list of STCs from the above battleship class ship will calm them down?

@Enjou I agree with Elder Haman, the whispers of change is better done step by step, Britton is a very liberal, at least compared with most of the Mechanicus, but even with that, better go slowly and steady...

[X] Detailed Survey (Defence Cruiser)
there is no reason to do this before doing
[] Survey Ship Graveyard: Above Battleships
since surt explicitly told us that those 6 ships which are larger than 10k should contain STCs for the smaller ships.
Any STC we find saves massive amounts of time compared to reverse engineering.

[X] Those in the Shadows

I want to do this, but could change it to tutoring Syr if people want.
I really want both, I am leaning towards tutoring syr because it is critically important that her faith is strong considering she is our sole heir at the moment.

as such, I am voting for plan enjou + lin tutor syr

Munitorum
[] Air Superiority
[] Super Heavy Transport

Administratum
[] Administratum Reorganisation: Part Four
-[] Double Down: Administratum Reorganisation: Part Four

Diplomacy
[] Contact Trolls

Arbites
[] Way of the Blade (Syr)

AdMech
[] Survey Ship Graveyard: Above Battleships
[] Kraken Hunters

Ministorum
[] Tutoring Syr (Saint Lin)

Personal
[] Spend Time With Family
[] Tutor Syr (Combat)
[] Whispers of Change (Critical Thinking and Xenotechnology)

EDIT:
as a note Way of the Blade is a tutor action and so counts towards the two tutor actions that Syr can take without getting penalties
Oh oops. better edit the above post, brb looking for an alternative

Tutoring (Syr)- Saint Lin has offered to personally tutor Syr in the Imperial Faith, a great honour indeed. He mentions that while he is partially offering this out of respect and to ensure that the most likely candidate for your successor is faithful his other reason is that he misses being able to spend time with children which he often did before he got so busy.

Time: 1 year.
Chance of Success: 25%

Cost: Free
Reward: Syr gains +1 Piety, on critical success Syr gains trait as well.

The title of this tutoring action should probably be
Tutoring Syr (Piety)
or
Tutoring Syr (Saint Lin)
since there are other tutoring syr options
