@Enjou I like your plan apart from the Ship Construction action. It's just too low a chance for success for me to feel safe trying when the downside is so steep. Maybe switch it with Stealth Planes or Vanquishers?

Or, if we want to do this now, we could do a PA on Recon Armor planning and use the spare Admech action to build Recon Armor? It's 3 turns, but it's something we've wanted to do for a while, and better to get it done before the next big fight, right?

[X] Examine: Starship Construction Technologies- The Well of Urd
-[X] Double Down: Examine: Starship Construction Technologies- The Well of Urd
Let's not examine the SCT. We don't even have a 50% chance of completing it (including if we get a nat 100 on Cheating) and failure means the chance of success for later attempts goes down. Also, the effects of Cheating are reduced for an Examine: Any action, making this option even worse.

I recommend getting the Automated Factories since it still helps build starships but also helps build other stuff.

[X] Spread the Words

Getting more people able to translate xeno languages will be helpful for diplomacy and other things.
I'd really recommend having Saint Lin tutor Syr as a second action (durin ok'd it). There honestly isn't a pressing need for people who can translate xeno languages. There is a very low chance that this action would come in handy in the three years between when it's complete and the turn at which Syr turns 18, so it's really more beneficial to get Syr's Piety up further. Since getting Syr to a high enough Piety means she can help out in Ministorum actions, it's even more weighted towards tutoring Syr twice.

[X] Cheating

Since we're trying for the ship construction tech, we want to cheat to improve our chances as much as possible.
Like before, it's not prudent to do with SCT when it's impossible to even get a 50% chance. Moreover, not doing Cheating will let us study the black crystal items further, which is something that we've been neglecting to do for a long time.

[X] Tutor Syr (Administratum)
Nothing wrong here, just pointing out that it's "Administration". One is the skill and the other is the organisation.

Please let me know your opinions and I'll make a decision.
The current tutoring plan you have under Personal is fine. We have a 53% chance of increasing her Martial further (due to our own high Martial) and a 10% of getting her a trait beyond Military Genius. Getting her a stat even more powerful than that one is worth a one in ten chance.

Based on feedback I'm going to remove the Starship Tech action since the chances are too low right now - would people rather replace it with Stealth Planes, Vanquishers, or Automated Factories?

No it doesn't produce starships, but it should increase Material production. Maybe AM and EM too.

Actually I'm thinking of removing any tutoring from him this turn at all. See the discussion over the last few pages regarding how additional tutoring beyond two actions reduces the chances of it succeeding.

No chance of doing Recon Armor? :p

Lets go with Auto Factories. I think they are going to be a Material booster, and the improved Adamantine Forges that we have yet to look at are an AM booster.

If it was a choice between Stealth Planes and Vanquishers, it's best to go with Vanquishers. We suffered pretty bad against the Ork Gargants and getting anti-armour tanks should help if they bring them again.

I'd say go with the Automated Factories because starships are our most pressing need and getting more production (or material) to make them with is best.

I don't think this is the case. The action Enlarge Factories: Avernus increases our production capacity rather than Material production. As far as I can tell, factories put together materials rather than create the materials.

Ah, I thought that was if he same person tutored her more than two times, not if she was tutored more than twice total.

I think Vanquishers are more useful to us in general, but the stealth planes fills a vrey specialiced spot that can be very useful against invaders...

Can´t we just take both now and leave the ship graveyard for later?

Catching up AGAIN (holy crap you all can move fast in this thread)

I hope we can send support to Cadian before they fall. They're not THAT far away as far as places in the former Imperiam go.

Ok, I've switched in Vanquishers for my plan. I'll do Stealth Planes next turn.

Also, switched out the piety tutoring for helping Asgard's morale with missionary work and changed over to Elder Haman's write-in for lobbying.

Hmm... this is a possibility. If we have Lin tutor Syr in Piety, and we tutor her in Administration, we could then spend a Personal attention on this...

We can not tutor Syr in Intrigue as our Intrigue stat is to low.

But I find the idea good to make 3 tutoring actions in Piety and two times Administration instead of Martial and Administration. @Enjou What do you say?

I think we ought to avoid going over 2 tutoring actions.

@Enjou, can we study the black crystal items rather than the siren shield? They're simply more important than gaining a better telekinetic shield. Furthermore, can we move the double down to lobbying for the Quartoks?

Vanquishers this turn, as we have two martial actions available next turn and can use one of those to raise vanquishers, but next we should go automated factory as per Henry we do not have enough material income to cover the plans he had. As it works factories provide production which in turn is used with metal to make materials. The stealth plane would need to wait a few turns for us to have a free martial action to build them once we research it so that should be something we do three turns from now when martial actions would be free again. In the meantime automated factory for mat production and admantine forges for exotic mat and adv mat production in the turns in between.

Also we have three turns until the next Beta is up for trials so having a free action then to tutor them would be a good idea.
