Because I believe if something "sticks with us" it should shape our choices going forward, not merely be a one-and-done.

But this isn't a in-character choice, it's not an action the mc is taking. It's not a set of options to handle a situation. It's a meta level choice on giving the mc a character trait

And she's ALDEADY acting honorably in previous actions. It's ALREADY shaping her choices going forward. It has categorically NOT been a one and done.

You're voting to give her the honorable ideal twice.

One of her ideals is ALREADY "acting honourable"

You're just doubling down on it, rather than taking the opportunity to further develop her character. Narrowing her personality and range of choices.

She already has "being honourable" as a ideal and desire.

There already HAS BEEN honourable options, and there will continue to be honourable options going forward

All giving her the trait will do is prevent/narrow future choice and incur stress when inevitably there HAS to be a "non-honourable" action....like say half the politics literally any ruler has to play...or you know, keeping her sexuality a secret.

Lying is actively dishonourable in Westeros.

Damn, people are really taking the trait options harshly. I personally prefer honorable because I find it more interesting, but all three options will have their drawbacks and advantages and we shouldn't take them to their utmost extreme. Diligent won't make Rhaenyra into a workalcoholic, Honourable won't make her into a gullible idiot and Ambitious won't make her into Cersei Lannister.

That being said, If hanging out with Tarly wins, she should tell him that Martell is a potential marriage option, if only to see his reactions.

I feel you are overstepping here some, it's fine to not like an option, and to be more for other choices.

However I think it would be fair to assume that these 3 options on trait are reasonably equivalent in terms of both the benefits they grant our character as well as the limits they would place.

I do not believe any is a poisoned chalice that supping from will spell our doom.

Any trait can be counteracted at the cost of stress gain for choices against their purview but also likely involve stress reduction when in alignment and creating further opportunities each uniquely is more suited towards.
