The Firestorm: A crossover invasion game. Looking for a 40k faction player.

Strangely enough the Technocracy is not actually technocratic in the literal sense of the word--which is why the NWO (Social Sciences) and the Syndicate (Economics/Finance) exist.

Iteration X pretty much is, but that's only a fifth of the Technocracy, and they're not nearly as involved in politics as the above two.

I always liked to Play as an NWO Operative even in a game where everyone else was playing the Traditions.

I do it for the Same Reason I like Playing a Sabbat Lasombra in a Cam Game. . .the other side is just cooler. Plus it lets me fuck with the main party in fun ways. . .

You could be almost as super spy as the Euthanatoi and have the bonus of being the Crow.

-- *BLAM* There is no tolerance for deviations from doctrine, making them very rigid in how they approach things, and a near-total refusal to deal with any non-humans barring extreme circumstances.
-Monotheism: Monotheism in the sense of denying the divinity of other gods has traditionally made the established Gods quite uncomfortable. Such opens doors of theology that most would rather keep closed. Diplomatic Malus with all other religions.

For some reason, this makes me happy and scares the ever-living shit out of me all at the same time.

Also, is there some tactical reason everyone is gathering around Teragra that I'm missing? When the game starts that area is going to be full of factions staring right at each others faces...

EDIT: side note, who else currently has ships in orbit? I've got two....

I have one that's permanently in orbit, but I also have several other ships that can go to orbit.

EDIT: No, none of them are a match for anything in 40k, hell, I doubt any of us can really take on House Nikula alone.

It should. I've got a pair of Warlord Titans and a full Knight House backing them up. The Titans are a giant hammer, so for many battles it won't be a question of "can I win?" but "Is the cost of achieving victory(in reshaped geography and rad storms) worth it?"

I'm doing it for RP reasons, actually. I find my interest in a game quickly wanes if I can't interact with the other players.

The only things I have in orbit are 5 GSVs...

and I will agree about House Nikula...it's even gotten me thinking about redoing my faction to something better...

I have 5 Aerial Battleships capable of reaching High Orbit, but not capable of Interplanetary Travel. By and Large they are armed with Railguns and Missile Batteries and rely on being heavily armored with Tunguskic Elements because they don't have shields.

You can make giant mecha from wood and cogs. I'm not that impressed. Y'know what's impressive? Laser guided throwing axes.

I'm decidedly Meh about 40K units. On the one hand they are sometimes portrayed as invincible, on the other they can get taken out on the regular by Ork Weapons that rely on crude chemical propellant and Clap Your Hands if You Believe Psychic Fields. . .

To be fair, that's probably because the Orks have deluded themselves into believing their bullets could actually kill said 40k units.

EDIT: Also, they're titans, basically every piece of fluff writes them up as army fucking forces that can easily eviscerate almost anything that isn't another Titan or Necronic technomagic bullshit. I hate necronic technomagic bullshit.

40k Titans tend to have that effect.
The scary thing is that @Mental Omega as apparently willing to let me take Emperor-class titans, and if I wanted to I could have probably pulled of a half-strength Legio Titanica, aka 25 Omnissiah-blessed Emperor Titans.
I'm feeling massively outgunned over here with the amount of giant mecha being waved around.
Quantitatively, @Jebusman has 5560 giant mecha, to my 3200 medium mecha and 98 giant mecha. (Two titans, 90 regular Knights, five Knights Baron, and myself)

To be fair, pound for pound I'd like to think your mechs outclass mine by quite a fair margin.
