And Equiping the weapon has allowed us to completely side-step an unforseen problem! Apparently casting our Ego-whozits causes us to store whatever we're holding, but since it's equipped it won't cost us a proper action to pull it right back out again!

Or so it seems, especially going by Derm's plan.

Actually, if you look at it's actions in this fight so far, it is clearly not. When we threw up an illusion, it didn't even pause before stepping right through it to get closer to us (admittedly, we weren't exactly subtle, but still!)

Perhaps more tellingly, instead of moving closer to us, or using a ranged attack, it anticipated us closing in, and attacked where we would be! While it certainly doesn't need to be a genius to pull these things off (again, the illusion was blatantly obvious, and we ARE holding a SHT range weapon), it does mean that it has at least a decent tactical mind. Despite appearances, we may actually be the brute in this fight, if only because of our limited options.

Yes, but we have more effective healing in the form of pellets, and if things really go south, friendship aura to fall back on. His passive regen only regened two bits, we can do... I think pellets are 12 per? Friendship is variable.

Basically unless we really fuck up, we're guarenteed to be victorious eventually.
 
We don't know how strong it's healing really is though. While this use only healed it for 2 points like you said, it had up to that point in time taken 2 points of damage. It's healing ability could therefore be only 2 points, a full heal, or any amount in between.

I also wonder why it used the heal on such a minor wound.

I don't really believe Dex would spawn an enemy who could heal itself to full every so often this (relatively) early in a game. I mean, this is the first enemy since the extended prologue/tutorial. It's probably a minor heal it will only use every so often. It used it because the action was abailable and probably didn't cost anything.

We really shouldn't have anything to worry about. Aside from, you know. The murderous skinwalking spirit thing.

Alright, let's see if we can't throw this fucker on the spikes for some real damage.

Or at the very least get him to twist himself into it to escape another attack.
 
If we both move into SHT range at the same time, will we overshoot eachother by each moving into SHT range relative to where the other was before they moved?
