Mention we have the theory and a probable way to bypass the genetic lock, but we don't have the Nuclear device to close the breach. Sort of hint that we can theoretically buld one ourselves from scratch, but that takes time we currently can't spare from improving our Jaegers. Then you can cut to the Mark V powerplant business, but I suggest wording it as "we're looking into better powerplants for the Jaegers as well, perhaps trying to recreate a Supercell with our resources."
 
The best I can come up is this. I hope it helps.

[] "We're also looking into ways of closing a Breach, for when we are ready to assault one. We have a couple promising avenues of research that might yield practical results."
-[] "The most immediately feasible and simplest involves teicking the Breach's defenses to insert and detonate a sufficiently powerful nuclear bomb within it."

On second thought, maybe we should split this into two sections.

"Precisely," came the response.

"The... for lack of a better name, we've referred to them as the Kaiju Masters--" 04 added on. "--were expected to act, based on our data... we just never suspected it'd happen like it did here."

"Admittedly, we weren't working with the most precise information. Our specimen was destroyed by the link, and the recorder had little useful remaining," 02 continued. "The Atlantic Breach fit our projections well enough that we simply didn't expect a second variety of action, and managing our defensive activity is troublesome enough that we just agreed to put it off. Clearly, that was a mistake."

The blueprints for the frame coating are sent, as are those for the Arges-- both of which seem to go over well with KRAUN. However, there's really not much in terms of commentary other than several thanks, and the previous statement's put a little bit of a damper on the mood.

01 sighs, rubbing their head.

"Certainly. ...What are they?"
 
"Well, quite frankly, we want to blow the breach up, but we're a tad lacking in schematics for really big bombs."
 
[X] "Well, for starters we need a really big bomb, preferably an atomic one because it's the only way to be sure. We're gonna cover it in Kaiju guts and send it through the Breach."
-[X] "Seriously, the defenses of the Breach consist mostly of Genetic locks, so we can probably bypass them that way. It's the simplest method we know and the most likely to work on the short term. Amything else is still on the drawing board and the only reason we haven't prototyped it yet is because we don't have nuclear capabilities or the spare time to research how to build them, especially not in the wake of a Cat V attack."
[X] "Some expertise concerning Supercell Reactors would be welcome as well. We can't quite figure out how to achieve the output of Striker Eureka's reactor amd we were hoping you could help us out so we can have stronger Jaegers with the minimum of catastrophic research accidents. Supercells and their related technologies can be... finicky. Safety concerns are the main reason ws haven't progressed much in that branch of research."

"I'd suggest examining any military archives you have access to," 01 says. "It should be easy enough to find blueprints for nuclear weapons."

"Alternatively, there should be a few abandoned uranium mines lying around," 02 offers. "If fisable materials are your problem, that is."

"However, we can offer a starting point," 05 says. There's a beep on the council's end, signifying a received file.

"It's not much, but it should assist you to a degree."

04 sniffs.

"You're not the only ones. Striker Eureka's X17 was the only completed Supercell on the planet before the Category V appeared, and our Oceania branch has had no luck locating it. Our own Quantum Reaction Chambers are based off the prototypes of that engine-- and, as you've already figured out, they're far more limited than the X17 was."

"At the moment, we're experimenting with a twin drive setup of sorts," adds 05. "Currently, we only have a single-- very unstable-- prototype in production. Nothing useful without extensive testing and refining."

Are we done? Or is there a fifth part to this?
 
But in all seriousness, there are quite a few abandoned uranium mines in Washington. I'm a little surprised you guys didn't think to investigate those, actually.

Clearly, you know far more about Washington State and Uranium Mines located there than anyone playing your quest does.

Frankly, I would never have guess that Washington State had any uranium mines abandoned or otherwise if you hadn't brought it up.
