Do we have any idea what would happen if we open a breach on a breach?

Portable hole/ bag of holding interactions could be interesting...

I don't suppose you have a better wording in mind, do you?
Mention we have the theory and a probable way to bypass the genetic lock, but we don't have the Nuclear device to close the breach. Sort of hint that we can theoretically buld one ourselves from scratch, but that takes time we currently can't spare from improving our Jaegers. Then you can cut to the Mark V powerplant business, but I suggest wording it as "we're looking into better powerplants for the Jaegers as well, perhaps trying to recreate a Supercell with our resources."

The best I can come up is this. I hope it helps.

[] "We're also looking into ways of closing a Breach, for when we are ready to assault one. We have a couple promising avenues of research that might yield practical results."
-[] "The most immediately feasible and simplest involves teicking the Breach's defenses to insert and detonate a sufficiently powerful nuclear bomb within it."
-[] "Unfortunately, we lack the facilities and blueprints to build such weapons, so research into that method has stalled for now."
-[] "With sufficient time we will be able to make our own blueprints, but most of our resources are being used to improve the Jaegers, which we consider a rather more pressing concern for now, given the recent attack."
[] "Speaking of Jaeger improvements, we're looking into better powerplants for Tacit and Jagdhund, and research into high-powered Supercell cores such as the one ised in Striker Eureka has been suggested and seems promising. We would welcome any expertise you may have in this area, especially considering the... volatility, of this technology when mishandled."

On second thought, maybe we should split this into two sections.

[X] "You mean whoever - or whatever - is behind the Kaiju, correct?"
-[X] "Have you seen something that would seem to conflict with what we've encountered at Vulcan's Nest?"
[X] "We have two other pieces of tech we've been using that we'd like to share with you, to go with the Condor Fixed Wing aircraft we provided you with schematics to earlier."
-[X] "The first we've used to great success and, if you don't have anything equivalent to it yet, we can only imagine that it should benefit you greatly."
--[X] (Provide KRAUN with the details, information, and schematics needed for them to set up their own ARGES system, if they don't have anything like that yet.)
-[X] "The other we fortunately haven't had to use yet, but we believe that if the time comes when we do, we will not regret that we already have our Jaeger outfitted with it."
--[X] (Provide them with the schematics and intel they would need to outfit their own Jaegers with the Faraday Frame upgrade.)
[X] "There were a few items in mind we were wondering if you might be able to share with us, as well; a few things that could help us toward keeping Tacit Ronin and Jagdhund at levels ahead of the Kaiju they're facing as well as towards our projects we're working on that we think might allow us to successfully seal the breaches..."

We can give them our gifts in this conversation section, then end it by leading into the final 'main' section by letting them know we'd appreciate if they could share some things with us to help us out.

"This information is... different. Suffice it to say, we never suspected they could do this."

[X] "You mean whoever - or whatever - is behind the Kaiju, correct?"
-[X] "Have you seen something that would seem to conflict with what we've encountered at Vulcan's Nest?"
"Precisely," came the response.

"The... for lack of a better name, we've referred to them as the Kaiju Masters--" 04 added on. "--were expected to act, based on our data... we just never suspected it'd happen like it did here."

"Admittedly, we weren't working with the most precise information. Our specimen was destroyed by the link, and the recorder had little useful remaining," 02 continued. "The Atlantic Breach fit our projections well enough that we simply didn't expect a second variety of action, and managing our defensive activity is troublesome enough that we just agreed to put it off. Clearly, that was a mistake."

[X] "We have two other pieces of tech we've been using that we'd like to share with you, to go with the Condor Fixed Wing aircraft we provided you with schematics to earlier."

The blueprints for the frame coating are sent, as are those for the Arges-- both of which seem to go over well with KRAUN. However, there's really not much in terms of commentary other than several thanks, and the previous statement's put a little bit of a damper on the mood.

01 sighs, rubbing their head.

"Certainly. ...What are they?"

"Well, quite frankly, we want to blow the breach up, but we're a tad lacking in schematics for really big bombs."

[X] "Well, for starters we need a really big bomb, preferably an atomic one because it's the only way to be sure. We're gonna cover it in Kaiju guts and send it through the Breach."
-[X] "Seriously, the defenses of the Breach consist mostly of Genetic locks, so we can probably bypass them that way. It's the simplest method we know and the most likely to work on the short term. Amything else is still on the drawing board and the only reason we haven't prototyped it yet is because we don't have nuclear capabilities or the spare time to research how to build them, especially not in the wake of a Cat V attack."
[X] "Some expertise concerning Supercell Reactors would be welcome as well. We can't quite figure out how to achieve the output of Striker Eureka's reactor amd we were hoping you could help us out so we can have stronger Jaegers with the minimum of catastrophic research accidents. Supercells and their related technologies can be... finicky. Safety concerns are the main reason ws haven't progressed much in that branch of research."

[X] "We currently have two primary plans for our attempt to close the breaches, we'd like to have both in place to use when we finally assault one so that if the first doesn't work, we still have the second as a backup."
-[X] "Based on our research, we believe that what is keeping bombs from getting through is some kind of 'Genetic Lock'. One of our plans involves the creation of what we're currently referring to as a "Breach Buster" bomb, which we hope will be able to get through by tricking the breaches into thinking that it's just a Kaiju going back through. A very explosive Trojan Horse, if you will."
--[X] "However, the natural centerpiece to such a plan - the explosive device itself - is something we currently lack the technical knowhow to construct. If you have information you're willing to share on the construction of a bomb powerful enough to theoretically close a breach - likely atomic in nature - it would go a long way towards speeding up our R&D process and by extent, speed up the process of getting us ready to turn the tide of this war back in our favor."
[X] "Some expertise concerning Supercell Reactors would be welcome as well. We're currently lacking the information needed to build a reactor capable of powering a Mk V, and we were hoping you could help us out so we can improve the strength of Tacit Ronin, Jagdhund, and any other future Jaegers that might operate out of our Shatterdome. Provided you have the data required to build such a reactor, of course."
[X] "And if there's any other important information you can share about the Kaiju that would make it easier for us to kill them, that would certainly be appreciated as well."

"I'd suggest examining any military archives you have access to," 01 says. "It should be easy enough to find blueprints for nuclear weapons."

"Alternatively, there should be a few abandoned uranium mines lying around," 02 offers. "If fisable materials are your problem, that is."

"However, we can offer a starting point," 05 says. There's a beep on the council's end, signifying a received file.

"It's not much, but it should assist you to a degree."

Disposable bonus gained! +1 to Fissile Bomb Research!

04 sniffs.

"You're not the only ones. Striker Eureka's X17 was the only completed Supercell on the planet before the Category V appeared, and our Oceania branch has had no luck locating it. Our own Quantum Reaction Chambers are based off the prototypes of that engine-- and, as you've already figured out, they're far more limited than the X17 was."

"At the moment, we're experimenting with a twin drive setup of sorts," adds 05. "Currently, we only have a single-- very unstable-- prototype in production. Nothing useful without extensive testing and refining."

Are we done? Or is there a fifth part to this?

But in all seriousness, there are quite a few abandoned uranium mines in Washington. I'm a little surprised you guys didn't think to investigate those, actually.

Clearly, you know far more about Washington State and Uranium Mines located there than anyone playing your quest does.

Frankly, I would never have guess that Washington State had any uranium mines abandoned or otherwise if you hadn't brought it up.
