Surviving the apocalypse Quest (mutants, zombies and more)

Day 2 night
Day 2 Night

When night falls everyone starts to prepare for sleep. There was some talk about sleeping in the break room or up on the second floor walkway but you shoot those ideas down. You have not explored the second floor yet and think it is to much of a risk in the dark. As for the break room there is only one way in or out if there was a problem you stand to high of a chance of being trapped with no way out. In the end you decide to repeat last night and have everyone sleep on top of the tallest stack of crates. This not only put everyone out of view it also allows the people on watch a clear view of as much of the warehouse as the lighting allows.

As light starts to fade outside you realize just how much attention you could attract if you were to leave the lights on over night. You could have people patrol the warehouse overnight but without the lights you consider it to risky. You finally settle for 3 shifts of two people to watch over the rest as you sleep. You give the watcher the flash lights but tell them only to use them if the hears something inside the building as your trying to avoid drawing more attention to yourselves. You take first watch which passes as peacefully as possible with the Bangers still pounding on the doors but the hail finally stops. Listening to the pounding you feel that it might be time to check how the barricade are holding out. Your knowledge of construction means they should be good but they were put up in a hurry when every was tired and scared so a check up might be in order.

Passing your flashlight to the second watch you settle down to sleep feeling that you at last have things under control. You are wakened by howling. At first you think something has gotten into the building it is so loud, it take a few moments for you to realize that they are coming from outside. The howls soon stop as does the pounding at the doors only to be replaced by snarls and the occasional thud. You have to stop one of your friends from turning on the lights so he could find out what is happening. You really do not want whatever is out side to know your in here. asking the watch you find out it is only about a hour till dawn which is lucky because no one is able to fall asleep after the sounds finally stop.

After eating a

Day 3 morning
Day 3 morning

Feeling full for the first time in almost a week you are no longer Fuzzy headed. The first thing you do as your head clears is check up on the barricades. Quickly you realize that you have been lucky nothing has given out yet but the door you entered was about break. everyone spends the rest of the hour fixing it and reinforcing the other doors.

Finishing with the doors you head to the second floor to see if you can get a clue about what happened last night. This does not go as well as you would have liked. You are unable to get a direct view of the doors but what you do see is not encouraging. You see no Bangers or movement, but there are many stains which you believe are blood stains and a great cloud of flies near the door you used. You feel you that you have dodged a bullet there. The one good thing about the time you spent trying to get a view was that you now know that the neighboring building reaches all the way to the river.

Leaving the windows you start to explore the second floor. This turns out to be very easy as it consists of a walkway along the outer wall and two rooms at opposite ends of the building. Both the rooms were unlocked. One seems to be some form of meeting room. The other room turns out to be the administration room inside you find the manifests. While you can not fully understand the manifests(Warehouse stocker bonus needed) what you do understand added to the view from the office allows you to finally understand how the building is layed out. This allows you a choice on what you look for.
(gain bonus:warehouse fully explored= +11 to actions taken within the warehouse)(gained bonus:So that's the warehouse game= +8 to all attemps to find things in the warehouse)

Using your now insight and feeling a touch paranoid after the last few days you try to figure out what is in the crates you have spent the last to night. You end up narrowing it down to either clothes or fabric. You feel relieved you feared after that might have been something poisonous.

Noon is fast approaching what do you do?(4 hours)
[ ]Set up access to the next building
[ ]Make some decisions about the contents of the crates you have already opened
[ ]Put a watch from a second floor windows
[ ]Open a door and look out
[no]Check the barricade for damage(can do once a day)
[ ]Try to figure out what is in a random crate/shipping container they can't all contain cleaners
[ ]Try to open a random crate/container they can't all contain cleaners
[ ]Try to open a known crate/container
[ ]Try to find/make some weapons from the tools(hand)
[ ]Who died and who is still alive(get basic state for your friends)
[ ]Write in (careful some options may take more than a hour.)

Day 3 afternoon
Day 3 Afternoon

After the sounds last night and the conditions of the barricade this morning everyone agrees that you need to be more proactive concerning your safety. First you set a rotating watch from the second floor windows. The view is more limited then you would like but it does let you know what is going on outside.

You then look to arming yourselves. This hits a snag early on. Almost all the hand tools are chained together for some reason. You manage to free 4 hatchets but the rest will take a fair amount of time to free.(can reattempt this action because of warehouse bonus, injury averted)

After an hour fighting with chains mixed with sharp blades and pointy bits of metal you decide to try your luck on a random shipping container at least it will not fight back. You hope. Upon opening the container your belief that the owner of this building was mad seems to be confirmed. Why else would there be a full 24 foot shipping container full of nets. Not just one type of net no you find bug nets, cargo nets, shipping nets, livestock nets, every type of fishing nets and net types you had never even heard of before and have no idea what use they were intended for.

Leaving then nets for now you gather everyone together to pool what skills and knowledge.

Give me 5 names. 4 male and 1 female. if no name are provided their names will be pulled randomly from books I have lying around the house. I have a weird selection of books. (fear the randomness)

As everyone gathers you remember how you met them pick one)(I will roll your friends skill set from the list in brackets)(once everyone has a job I will roll for each of the to see if the have a second skill set{SCA/Renfair/Reenactors has a higher chance of second skill})
[ ]At the SCA/Renfair/Reenactors(1 Melee fighter, 2 blacksmith, 3 herbalist, 4 weaver/tailor 5 Farmer, 6 Woodman, 7 Carpenter, 8 Crafter, 9 bard )
[ ]At school(1 writer, 2 lawyer, 3 police officer, 4 scientist, 5 architect, 6 computer expert, 7 psycyatrist, 8 office worker)
[ ]Through work(1 Electrician, 2 Vet, 3 Landscaper, 4 Warehouse stocker, 5 truck driver, 6 surveyer(land) 7 office worker)
[ ]Random chance(Any of the above plus thief and barkeep (Thief and police officer can not both be in the group for now will reroll the second if both are rolled))
[ ]Write in(List of choices to be rolled from be reasonable)

Now hopefully you will be able to get some organization going so you can start to use the stuff in the crates. You already have some ideas like using the dried milk to extend you food supplies(add 8 days costs, 3 litters of water a day, must have some other food source as well), the trailmix can be opened and added to your supplies now or left unopened(unopened their is no chance of spoilling unlike some food sources), filling all the rain barrels with water in case the plumbing fails and a few more things but you want input from your friends because you feel that something is missing from your ideas.

Please write something for each of the below options:
[ ]What to carry on you at all times
[ ]What needs to be done in the short term
[ ]What is their short term plan
[ ]What is their long term plan
[ ]What is their policy if they run into someone acting normal

Day 3 meeting
Day 3 Meeting

Well between yourself, David Creighton, Cedric Batongbakal, Diana Chu, James Ivanov and Vincent Mendoza you have Construction, Weaving/Tailoring, Electronics, Warehouse stocking, Carpentery, Computer science, Blacksmithing and whatever skills a Bard bring to the table pretty much covered. You also have the basics of police training and medieval wound care. Who knew hanging out at renfairs would one day prove so useful. The lose of Kristan and Fred is dearly felt(lose 1 moral). The lose of Kristan was probably hit you the hardest because she was your groups melee fighter and going by the rumors and the lockpicks in her luggage she was also something of a thief. Right now those were probably important skills to have on your side.

Sitting everyone down you try to figure out what your priorities and goals are beyond not getting eaten. what you come up with breaks down like this.

Short term needs:
Everyone agrees that right now you need to fortify your position here. You need to find more food and hopefully a renewable source as well. You need to find other survivors fairly soon because while your small group was let you avoid attention so far it also limits what you can get done by a disturbing amount.
Everyone also wants to keep weapons on hand at all times. You agree to arm everyone. You take a mineral pick for yourself and your friends all take a hatchet each.

Short term planning:
The basic short term plan everyone agrees to is to fortify the warehouse for now but be prepare to leave in a moment's notice. You have made some progress on Fortifying the building but run into a snag when it comes to preparing to leave. As last night showed you Some thing is going on outside that does not make much sense this makes traveling long distances extremely dangerous unless you can find out more. One thing you did find out before your group made a run for it was that the violence was concentrated in areas with large amount of people and the warehouse while being inside the city was deep inside the industrial district and had very few people because no-one was coming to work during the "riots". So local exploration should re relatively safe but you will need supplies/transportation If you want to go any distance.

Long term goals:
Your long term goal can be cover in three basic point.
1 Find a safe place to hole up somewhere safe from the Bangers and the monsters that ate them. Simply put until you find a means of travel beyond foot power or some rescues you this building covers this for now.
2 Find a way to contact your families. The phones are working but no-one is picking up so your likely going to need to rely on work of mouth unless they happen to pick up their phones soon.
3 Also discover what the hell is going on in the world. The radio stations are either out or looping the emergency stand by for instruction statement. So this is going to have to wait.

You also determine your policy on how to handle a meeting with any other survivors. It basically breaks down to gathering information from them. First who they are, where did he come from and how they can help the group. You also set your Bards the job of finding out what they did to survive. Thing are bad and you really need more people but somethings should not be done and your group does not want to deal with people who would do them. Overall cautious but willing to take someone in.

As the meeting breaks up you find out some of the benefits having bards around gives you. First they have been keeping track of how everyone has been doing. Thing are not doing to well on this front, lucky everything has happen so fast it has not sunk in yet.(9/30 morale no negative effect yet has not had time to sink in) They also pass on concerns and advice that others have had but did not feel like bring up themselves.(After today Advice/Concerns will be added to the end of evening posts)

Advice/Concerns:
1 The entrance to the next building is difficult to use from our side but easy from the other side it is a security hole unless we secure that building or block it off.
2 While the water is running right now we do not know how long that will last. We could fill all the rain barrels and water containers now. (It would take a full action)
3 They point out that the weather has for the most part been fairly pleasant but just before things went bad there was talk about a record breaking heatwave coming your way. It should have arrived by now.
4 You should choose what to do with the dried milk soon.
Do you start using the dried milk now:
[ ]Yes [ ]No

Evening is coming you(3 hours)

[ ]Set up access to the next building(Bard choice)
[ ]Fill all the barrels and water container(Bard choice)
[ ] block off the entrance to the next building(Bards look uncomfortable)
[ ]Make some decisions about the contents of the crates you have already opened
[ ]Open a door and look out
[ ]Exit through one of the doors and explore around that way(the Bards are glaring)
[ ]Set up a dedicated sleeping area
-[ ]On top of the crates
-[ ]Second floor meeting room
-[ ]In the break room
[no]Check the barricade for damage(can do once a day)
[ ]Try to figure out what is in a random crate/shipping container they can't all contain cleaners
[ ]Try to open a random crate/container they can't all contain cleaners
[ ]Try to open a known crate/container
[ ]Try to find/make some weapons from the tools(hand)
[ ]Explore the roof
[ ]Write in (careful some options may take more than a hour.)

Day 3 evening
Day 3 evening

Deciding to add the dried milk to you supplies in use adds 8 days to the food supplies. This bring it up to 14 days food on full rations, 28 days on half rations.

Hearing that there might be a heat wave on its' way and being reminded that you might lose your running water at anytime everyone throws themselves into filling all the water containers. This ends up taking far longer then you thought it would. You end up having to leave James and Vincent on it for the rest of the evening. Near the end of the hour you planned for this you do the math and are stunned. Once everything is fill you will have 2426 liters of drinking water. This is a lot as you remember that each person needs 2.5 to 3 liters of drinking water a day. This means if you lose running water, don't wash and gain no new people you will have between 970.5 and 808.5 days. No wonder it is taking so long. lucky you have a lot of taps to fill them all from or this wold take forever. As it stand the watch will have to keep watch on the barrels as well tonight.(Did the math will add to an extra post)

Leaving the water alone for now you turn to the crates you have an idea about they either contain clothes or fabric and you feel and you have some ideas but you need to know which it is. You get the crates open without any problem as they were only ziptied close. Inside you find fabric. having two people with weaving and tailoring skills this is a great boon.

Finally you turn to what you will take id you have to make a run for it.First you switch you backpack for hiking packs moving your current inventory into them. You then add two pairs of glove to each pack. You take 6 camel packs because water is Important(can only take 1 each when full). You also take 1 camping rolls per person because a warm sleep will keep people heathy trough a lot.You add the trail mix for emergencies. You take take 3 sets collapsible cookware and 6 sets of camping utensils for food preparation.

For the final choices you want everyones input. Each option uses the some amount of space as its opposite.

First for shelter do you take:
[ ]6 one person tents
[ ]2 large tents

Do you take:
[ ]6 outdoor coats
[ ]3 large handpump filters and 60 seed packets

Choose between:
[ ]10 small mineral picks
[ ]Select gardening manuals

Having that settled you decide where to sleep tonight. After last night no one wants to keep the lights on.
[ ]same as last night
[ ]upstairs meeting room(bard choice)
[ ]down stairs staff room(bard look at you like your crazy)
[ ]write in

Do you set a watch or patrol?
[ ]set a watch where we sleep(if sleeping in meeting room also maintains watch from the window)
[ ]patrol the warehouse
[ ]both
[ ]neither
[ ]write in

Day 3 Night
Day 3 night

Everyone agrees that you will need the 3 large handpump filters and 60 seed packets if you are forced to make a run for it. People are more divided on the matter of tents while the one person tents would allow everyone to carry their own tents in the end it was decided that the 2 large tents would be easier to watch over and could hold a few more people if you found anyone.

When it came to deciding whether to take the small mineral picks or the gardening manuals things became a bit heated. Luckily your Bards were able to calm everyone(yay Bard diplo) down resulting in a compromise. You end up taking 3 small mineral picks and only the basic gardening manuals (result from Eri's question). This is less then half of each because the do not fit together well. In the end you are satisfied that you have as many of your bases covered as you can for now so everyone prepares for the night.

As your moving you sleeping gear up to the meeting room one of the watch call out. There is someone approaching the warehouse. She has obviously seen you, is moveing like a normal person and look terrified. After last night you don't want anything to attract attention from outside so you decide to ask her the questions once she is inside. You also don't think she is much of a threat as she is alone.

Once she is inside you learn several things. First her name is Lili Smith and she was an Architect and she has been on the run for the last few days. She say the military has been deployed but as far as she could tell they have had no effect. After a few minute of discussion you decide to let her join your group. The extra hiking pack you give her allow you to take the rest of the small picks and some more gardening manuals along with the basic.(I will adjust the inventory later)

Day 4 Morning
Day 4 Morning Actions

First thing you do after eating is to check the barricades. As you have no idea what attacked the Bangers two nights ago you feel that you can not trust the lack of comotion last night to show that nothing tried to get in. The barricade is unchanged but here is no sign of the fly cloud that was out side your original entrance. You don't know how you feel about that.

Having check that the barricades were fine you begin to organize you first real project since this all began. You have two goals for this endeavor. First you need to made a safe to get into the neighboring building. As the window you plan to use is 3 feet higher than the yards wall and 3 feet across an alleyway what you end up building looks like a cross between a ladder and a ramp with a rope/net ladder hanging into the yard. This uses a tiny piece of one of the many Cargo nets you have found before. The second goal was to prevent access to warehouse from the same window. Several ideas were put fourth including a door, some form of sliding wall and even a drawbridge. In the end lack of proper tools forces you to settle for several sheets of wood that once jammed into the widow frame could only be removed from your side. Once you finish both you and Lili share a look. While they will do for now you will have to rebuild both of them some time in the future hopefully by then you will have some proper tool.

Having spent almost have the morning on the building project you split the group up to do the first paperwork done in your new home. You give Cedric the job of trying to decode the Manifestos you found. James volunteered to help saying that it can't be to much harder than computer coding.

While they start on the manifests you have everyone else study the gardening guides that you did not put in you dash bags. This hits a snag most of the guides were written for avid gardeners and use terms you have never heard before. You do make some progress you now know what the instructions on the seed packs mean and can now start to sprout the seeds. Though you are limited by the fact the only soil you have will come from the unpaved portion of the yard.(???)

If you want to sprout seeds you now have three options.(not exclusive)(This covers only sprouting growing option will be separate and given after sprouting has begun.)
1 Use the sprouting trays and replant later(Quickest, need to be watered, will need to be replanted, lowest seed lose)
2 Plant in the planters both indoors and outdoors(medium speed, limited amount can be grown in doors, needs to be watered, medium seed lose)
3 Plant in the unpaved section of the yard(time consuming, need to be watered only rarely, highest seed lose)

As noon approaches Cedric and James tell you of the progress they have made. They have figured out where three of the stack were headed. The first stack was going to Ikea and contains furniture. What kind of furniture they are unsure of. They were unable to figure out were second stack was going but they did figure out that it contained only swimming pools. The last one they tell you was going to Home Depot and should contain building supplies if they are reading things right.

Pick 5
[no]Check the barricade for damage(can do once a day)
[ ]Study the gardening manuals again
[ ]Open a door and look out
[ ]Have Cedric try to decode part of the manifesto(can be taken multiple times)
[ ]Exit through one of the doors and explore around that way(the Bards are glaring)
[ ]Set up a dedicated sleeping area(Increases night safety)(permanent)
-[ ]On top of the crates
-[ ]Second floor meeting room
-[ ]In the break room
[ ]Make some makeshift sewing gear(allows primitive tailoring work)
[ ]Try to figure out what is in a random crate/shipping container they can't all contain cleaners
[ ]Try to open a random crate/container they can't all contain cleaners
[ ]Try to find/make some weapons from the tools(hand)
[ ]Start exploring the next building
[ ]Use the sprouting trays and replant later(Quickest, need to be watered, will need to be replanted, lowest seed lose)
[ ]Plant in the planters both indoors and outdoors takes 2 actions(medium speed, limited amount can be grown in doors, needs to be watered, medium seed lose)
[ ]Plant in the unpaved section of the yard takes 4(time consuming, need to be watered only rarely, highest seed lose)
[ ]Open the Ikea crates
[ ]Open the swimming pools
[ ]Open the Home Depot containers
[ ]Write in (careful some options may take more than a hour.)

Day 4 Afteroon
Day 4 Afternoon

You can now access the next building but before you start exploring there is a couple things you want done. First you set Cedric and James to continue decoding the manifests. While they do that you ask them to keep watch as latter you will be taking everyone else exploring.

So far every night you have just put down your bedding where ever you thought was safest. Now you decide to make a more permanent choice. You set up the meeting room on the second floor with whatever you can to make it more comfortable and add some reinforcements to the doors. Adding a couple of the water containers to the room also eases peoples worries about he coming nights.(+1 morale)

The last thing you decide to do before going exploring is to take an inventory of what is inside the Home Depot containers. You feel that this could change how things go from here on out. Inside you find:

lots of Cinder blocks
Lots of bricks
Lots of planks of wood
2 pallets of rebar
4 pallets of concrete bags
5 Rolls of wire fencing
1 40 pound sledge hammer(unwieldy)
3 Hand saw
1 ball-peen hammer
2 carpenter hammers
1 tool display crushed under a tipped over pallet of cinder blocks

The crushed display saddens you for the moment but you decide that maybe once it is unburied Vincent might be able to fix some of them or once he gets a forge running use them as a metal source.

Finally you head over to the next building to explore. The first thing you can tell is this building has not been used in a long time. The spiderwebs, the dust, rust and smell all indicate that no-one has used the building for along time. The second thing is that the building is tiny. Looking out the window you can see the the building only takes up a small corner of a very large yard. That is not to say the yard is empty. It actually has a lot in it. This looks to be one of the places they dump stuff that they are moving around. From the window you see several piles that you think recognize. Two look to be make up of soil or sod. One looks to be a pile of either road salt or sand. Finally what looks to be the wreckage of a burned down building in several building waste bins. There are many more that you can not get a view at from the window.

Beyond the piles you realize that the wall might actually overhang the river. Hearing this Lili hurries down stairs only to find out why you never hurry in a abandoned building. Half way down one of the staircase it collapses on her. While she avoids any broken bones she sprains both her right arm and her right leg badly. Luckily the remaining staircase is still sound. you end up having to have her carried back ending your exploration for the day.

Returning to the warehouse Diana take a more trough look at her and declares that it will be at least 3 days before she can try walking or doing any light work.(-1 action until she recovers)(-1 morale)

She is in a lot of pain but none of the first aid kits contain pain killer though you do find a large needle intended for stitching gashes closed. Useless right now but good to know it is there. As Lili is chair/bed bound you could either have her focus fully on recovering or you could have her study the garden manuals to pass the time.
Do you:
[ ]tell her to rest
[ ]Ask her to study

After settling Lili down Cedric asks you if you want the good news first or the bad news. You pick the good news first thinking you need some thing before you deal with anymore bad news. He tells they have decoded two more of the shipping containers the first is full plastic totes it is not much but they can be used for several things off the top of your head. They can be used for storage, to contain water or even made into planter. You decide to sent these thoughts aside and ask him what the bad news was.

It turns out that one of the shipping containers came from a bakery. At first you are confused how this is bad news as you need more food. He then points out that the bread has spent at least the last seven day in a sealed metal box during the heat of summer. He said he had James go and check it out. When James returned he reported that when he approached the container he could smell a strong scent of mold despite the container still being sealed tight. Cedric thinks it is going to get worse. He has a few ideas how to handle it but he wants you to make the choice. First you can leave it be and hope the smell does not become worse. Second you could open the container and throw the bread over the wall but that might attract something to the wall. Finally you could build the large composters you found in the garden stacks and set them up in the far corner of the yard and put the beard in them. If you then added a layer of dirt on top that should control the smell and in time you would have fertilizer. No one is going to like the smell if you decide to open the container.
Do you:
[ ]Ignore it(random rolls)
[ ]Throw it over the wall(-1 morale)(lose 1 action)
[ ]Compost it(-1 morale)(skip this evening phase)

Day 4 evening
Day 4 Evening

Taking a good look at Lili you tell her to rest up and not worry about anything for the time being. As much as you think someone should study the gardening manuals you can tell that Lili is in to much pain to even attempt to read let alone remember what she read.

Thinking about your choices on how to deal with the spoiled breads you go over the options. Throwing it over the wall is out as you have no idea what is out there or what would be attracted by the smell. Ignoring it is even worse the smell could easily make people feel ill let alone the actual sicknesses that it might cause and it could attract attention to the building. Finally you decide to set up the composters and compost it. While this will take up the most time it will prevent any chance of disease and mostly contain the smell. It will also result in fertilizer if you have to/choose to remain in the area for long.

You choose to building the composters in the far corner of the yard. This is easily done the most time consuming part is reading some of the soil to place on top once filled.

When you open up the container the smell almost knocks you off your feet it is so strong. To deal with the smell you use a trick you heard about at one of the Renfairs and place a piece of fabric soaked in water over your mouth and nose to cut the smell. It work at reducing the smell but there is still no way anyone is going to carry it across the warehouse and in to the yard by hand. You end up filling some of the plastic totes then placing the lids on tightly so you can carry it out and dump it into the composters.

After dealing with everything you end up with a small amount of time before sunset. You decide to ask everyone a few questions.

Do they think this place is defendable?
[ ]Yes
[ ]No
[ ]Maybe

Do they have anywhere they think we should try to go to?
[ ] Yes(Write in where)
[ ]No but they think we should still leave as soon as we can safely.
[ ]No we should stay here.
[ ] Write in

So far you have basically been camping in the building. Do you want to change that?
[ ]No
[ ]Yes set up for staying a medium amount of time.
[ ]Yes set up for the long haul.

Day 5 Waking
Day 5 Waking

Last night you gained enough people to double your groups' size. This has forced you to fall back to half rations for the time being. Your food stores are now 6.5 days food on full rations, 13 days on half rations While not a immediate concern it has stressed just how important it is that you find a new source of food in the near future. You do have the option of opening the sealed trail mix but that would allow it the chance to spoil and you currently want to hold on to it in case of an emergency.(Use the write ins if you want to change this.)

As you prepare for the day you bring the new people up to date on what is going on. Hearing the the yard you are now exploring might overlook one of the new arrivals says that he knows how to build some basic fish traps that you could set once you have explored the yard. He says he could make two types of traps depending on the materials he uses.

Do you have him build the traps now or wait?
[ ]Yes build now.
[ ]No wait.

If you said yes what materials do you let him use?
[ ]Netting(-1 action)
[ ]Wire mesh fencing(-1 action)
[ ]both(-2 actions)

As you have decided that your likely to be hear for while before you get the chance to move everyone feels that something has to be done to make this place more livable.( these picks last all day)(Must pick one can pick up to 3)

[ ]Set up a cooking area.(improve morale roll)
[ ]Set up basic Forge.(Includes the building the tools of the trade project)
[ ]Open the Ikea crates and set up furniture(morale boost roll)
[ ]Clear the unpaved portion of the warehouse yard(Gain limited forage/salvage roll)
[ ]Use the sprouting trays and replant later(Quickest, need to be watered, will need to be replanted, lowest seed lose)
[ ]Plant in the planters both indoors and outdoors takes (medium speed, limited amount can be grown in doors, needs to be watered, medium seed lose)
[ ]Plant in the unpaved section of the yard takes (time consuming, need to be watered only rarely, highest seed lose)(must also have picked Clear the unpaved portion of the warehouse yard)

That settled you begin to plan your morning.(choose 8 +any leftover from improvement)

[ ]Check the barricade for damage(can do once a day)
[ ]Study the gardening manuals again
[ ]Open a door and look out(start outer exploration)
[ ]Have Cedric try to decode part of the manifesto(can be taken multiple times)
[ ]Exit through one of the doors and explore around that way(the Bards are glaring)
[ ]Make some makeshift sewing gear(allows primitive tailoring work)
[ ]Try to figure out what is in a random crate/shipping container they can't all contain cleaners
