Gundam Unicorn seems to be close to its climax, so we should soon have the opportunity to resolve its plot and hopefully be able to deal with the Vist Foundation and Full Frontal in at least some manner (and it may also give us some more units to have at our disposal and embolden our current best pilot on the roster to upgrade to something better than a Gustav Karl). The current state of affairs is solvable, we just need to stay calm and play things in a smart manner.

We could also have quite a few potential research options to pursue, since we did arguably get our hands on a lot of units and technologies to go over, between the spoils we're getting from what we've captured out of the Loyalist armada, the defection of the Glinda Knights (who have quite a few experimental units and prototypes for Knightmare Frames that would pave the way for units later used by the Knights of the Round) and securing the remains of the Mordred and the Throne Zwei.

HP: 34000

Patrick Colasour

Zechs Merquise
Ability: 7

Shinichiro Tamaki

Some things regarding the pilot sheet for QM to look over:
  1. Not sure if this is actually an error (it could be that they weren't involved in enough battles to upgrade their ability score), but Setsuna, Graham, Patrick and Zechs kept their starting ability scores while other pilots from their series have gotten better during the last update of the pilot sheet. In case that it is indeed an oversight, QM might want to ponder a method that would allow them to better keep track of when should pilots have their ability score increase;
  2. There's an extra 3 in the hp value of Graham's GN-X (it's supposed to be 4000, not 34000);
  3. Tamaki's Akatsuki is missing its hp value (which I assume is supposed to be 4000, based on the other Akatsuki units we have on our roster).

Turn 10: Raising the Anchor
November UE 0083
Macross City, Earth

You sigh as you lean back in your chair while reading a report. Several days after the Cyclops System bombing of JOSH-A, ZAFT had pushed into Panama to destroy the mass driver under Blue Cosmos' control there. Fuming with outrage after what had happened in Alaska, the ZAFT forces had shown no mercy even after accomplishing their objective, refusing to take prisoners and killing all remaining survivors. It was also during this battle that Blue Cosmos debuted a new mobile suit, the GAT-01 Strike Dagger. Like a majority of ZAFT's mobile suits, the Strike Dagger runs on high-capacity batteries while also wielding a beam rifle that doesn't use Minovsky particles.

"That explains why they were so insistent on recovering what was left of the G Project. They didn't want to be reliant on Helium-3 or Anaheim Electronics for when something like this inevitably happened." You muse out loud.

Your thoughts are interrupted by the sound of the door opening, and you turn to see a woman with long, luscious brown hair, brown eyes, and an ample figure wearing a lavender dress shirt unbuttoned down to her chest to show off her cleavage and stark white pants. She looks familiar to you for some reason...

Realization hits a few seconds later.

"Captain Kujo? I thought you were dead!" You say in surprise.

The woman starts in surprise before giving you a sad smile of recognition.

"Right, we haven't met in person up till now. It's good to see you again Mira, but please, call me Sumeragi. Sumeragi Lee Noriega." Leesa Kujo-no, Sumeragi Lee Noriega says as she takes a seat next to you.

"What have you been doing all this time? Have you been working with the Black Knights." You ask.

Sumeragi chuckles.

"No. I'm the commander of the cell of Celestial Being that the Solar Vanguard has been working with all this time." Sumeragi says.

"Ah."

In hindsight, that makes a lot of sense.

Fokker Memorial Hospital, Macross City

You are Setsuna F. Seiei, and the last few days have been incredibly confusing for you and Allelujah. Right now, you're waiting for Feldt Grace in the lobby of Fokker Memorial Hospital.

The two of you turn at the sound of one of the lobby's elevators opening, and a streak of pink all but collides with you as you stand up. You realize it's Feldt, and she's hugging you so tightly you're surprised you're not in pain.

"Feldt? What's going on?" You ask.

"It's horrible! Lichty and Dr. Moreno are dead, Christina's in a coma, and Lockon...Lockon..." Feldt breaks down in tears as she embraces you ever more tightly. You're at a loss of what to do until Allelujah elbows you in the side.

"Hug her back, idiot!" Allelujah hisses into your ear.

You wrap your arms around Feldt's shoulders, and some of the tension seems to seep out of her as she leans against you. Allelujah turns toward the entrance to the lobby, and you see Sergei Smirnov and Soma Peries. Soma runs up to Allelujah and unexpectedly embraces him, which catches Allelujah off guard. You hear the chime of the elevator again, and turn see Lasse, heavily bandaged and walking toward you.

You get the feeling you're not going to like this debriefing session.

Tokyo Bay

You are Kaname Chidori, and being one of the most reliable sources of intelligence about how to combat a Lambda Driver equipped Super Robot is not something that gives you comfort.

"DOUBLE BLIZZARD!" Kazuya Ryuuzaki yells as Daimos sprays cryogenic particles at the Behemoth.

"Now, Sosuke!" You yell into your radio.

You see the Arbalest go into a running slide between the Behemoth's legs, firing two rounds from its shotgun into a pair of vents in its crotch. After the rounds impact, the Behemoth goes still before crumpling under its own weight.

"Takuma!" Tessa exclaims before running toward the wreck of the Behemoth.

You sprint after her, and when you catch up, you see Tessa cradling the body of the Behemoth's pilot. You're too far way to hear what the two of them are saying clearly, but apparently Tessa has some sympathy for this Takuma, as after his body goes limp, she gently closes his eyes with her own hands before turning to face you.

"That Takuma?" You ask while gesturing to the body.

"Yes. He...never really had a choice in all this." Tessa says, tears streaking down her face.

"Kinda like a Cyber Newtype?" You speculate.

"I guess so..." Tessa says mournfully. She wipes away her own tears before rushing forward and embracing you. You return the gesture, gently wrapping an arm around her waist.

A thump close by reminds you that Sosuke is in the Arbalest watching over the two of you. He wisely chooses not to say anything, simple opting to survey the surroundings.

You get the feeling things are going to get much worse before they get any better.

VOTE BY PLAN

Personal Actions (Pick THREE)

[ ] Bond with one of the girls (you can only pick this once)
-[ ] Nina
-[ ] Lucia
-[ ] Yukari

[ ] Consult the Samsara system
-This is essentially GM advice for what to do next. In the current context, will give advice on how to quickly end the civil war that has engulfed the Earth Federation

[ ] Socialize with someone else (you may pick this action twice)
-[ ] Sumeragi
-[ ] Banagher
-[ ] Kira
-[ ] Murrue
-[ ] Kazuya
-[ ] Aoi
-[ ] Heero
-[ ] Setsuna
-[ ] Sosuke

Samsara Action

The Samsara System has detected an AI in the interdimensional void. Judging from the transmission, it's attempting to escape the Council, which has managed to crush the last bit of resistance of that AI's home dimension.

Which AI does Samsara find?

[ ] ALICE System

[ ] Frontier Setter

Research Action (Pick ONE)

[ ] Knightmare R&D
-With the defection of Lloyd Asplund, Cecil Croomy, and a large amount of personnel from the Camelot Institute following the start of the civil war, combined with the large amount of Britannian machinery captured during their attempted invasion of Japan, there is hope that there can be a breakthrough in Knightmare Frame technology. Granted, Rakshata cannot stand the Earl of Pudding, who returns the sentiment, but hopefully the two of them will be able to work things out.
-Will grant access to further iterations of the Lancelot and the Vincent
-Further research will grant premature access to the Guren SEITEN and other Knightmare Frames of the same generation

[ ] GN Particle technology
-With the emergence of the A-LAWS, Sumeragi is worried that Ribbons has access to new and frightening iterations of GN particle technology. She wants to improve Celestial Being's own Gundams in addition to making a replacement for the Ptolemaios, and she is willing to share anything that can be mass-produced with the Solar Vanguard
-Will grant premature access to all of Celestial Being's Gundams from Gundam 00 S2, the Ptolemaios II, and the GN-XII, GN-XIII, Masurao, and GNX-704T Ahead. Further research will grant access to Celestial Being's Gundams from Awakening of the Trailblazer, and the GN-XIV.

[ ] Mobile Suit Evolutions
-The technically minded of the Romefeller Foundation wish to iterate on current mobile suit technology. Curiously, rather than follow the current trend of 'Dinosaur' MS, they want to see where the Crossbone Vanguard's theories of miniaturized mobile suits can go for MS that utilize Minovsky reactors.
-Will grant access to the Heavygun, Gundam F90, GAT-01A1 Dagger, GAT-02L2 Dagger, and the Serpent. The Victory Gundam series, the Windam series, and the Akatsuki Gundam will be available with further research and acquisition of certain technologies.

Solar Vanguard Actions (Pick FOUR)

[ ] A Demon's Sorrow
-Zero seems to be suffering from immense emotional turmoil. In the interest of transparency, he's called for a meeting with the commanding officers of the Solar Vanguard. Curiously, he's not going to attend the meeting in person, instead opting for a video feed. When pressed about this, he insists that it's for the safety of everyone else in attendance.

[ ] Expanding the bureaucracy to meet the needs of a chaotic bureaucracy
-Relena Peacecraft feels that forming a new political party in the Earth Federation will give a much needed anchor for the more sensible people who do not with to side with either Britannia or Blue Cosmos in the face of the civil war.
-Pick as many or as few people listed below to be involved: (the more people involved, the less ability the Vist Foundation will have to try and hijack the party)
--[ ] Marina Ismail
--[ ] Kaguya Sumeragi
--[ ] The Ruling Council of Orb
--[ ] UN Spacey representative Milia Fallyna Jenius

[ ] Appealing to Erishkigal
-Nergal Heavy Industries seems to be on the verge of mutiny at the prospect of even the possibility of peace talks with the Jovian Federation. If you don't get them line one way or the other, logistics is going to be an absolute nightmare, even with a majority of the Romefeller Foundation's industrial capacity under the Solar Vanguard's control.
-How do you approach this?
-[ ] Violently
--Show no mercy toward dissent in the ranks of the company, and if they openly rebel or turn traitor by giving their services to Britannia, Blue Cosmos, or even Giganos, use force to make them see reason.
-[ ] Diplomatically
--Try to make them see things from your point of view. Failing that, if idealism doesn't work, appeal to the executives' greed by pointing out how much money they'll make by manufacturing weapons that the Solar Vanguard will need to resolve the current civil war.

[ ] The Lady and the Unicorn
-Bright Noa has proposed an alliance with the Garanceries to rescue Mineva Zabi from the clutches of the Vist Foundation before they go to space.
-Will ensure that the Gundam Unicorn plot proceeds as it does in canon.

[ ] Task Force Katharon
-Given the reemergence of Ribbons Almark and his organization the A-LAWS, it has been deemed prudent to form a special task force to go after them. At the moment, leads are sparse, but it is believed that he is not truly independent. The most likely sponsors at the moment are either Giganos or ZAFT. Which one do you investigate first?
-[ ] Giganos
-[ ] ZAFT

[ ] Showdown in Cephiro
-The Dimensional Distortion above Tokyo Tower has flared up again, and unlike last time, it is very visible. A pair of Spearheads sent to investigate were almost sucked in, and after that, a scroll was seen falling out of what has been dubbed 'The Blue Hole'. The message on the scroll is in Japanese, and is all but begging the Solar Vanguard for aid against Zagato.

[ ] Refining Beastly Instinct
-Dragon's Hive has come forward and requested assistance in dealing with the R-Daigun, the rival Super Robot that has emerged to seemingly oppose Dancouga Nova. In return, they're offering to disclose their true mission statement.

[ ] The value of a miracle when Tokyo stood still! Asuka Langley Soryu dies in lava?!
-NERV's MAGI predict that there will be no less than FOUR separate Blood Pattern Blue emergences, which means four angels will attack at the same time. They are all but begging the Solar Vanguard for assistance, as they feel that going to either Britannia or Blue Cosmos for aid will require major concessions that they are not willing to give.
-If not taken, will not result in the end of humanity, but Shinji, Asuka, and Rei will be HIGHLY traumatized by the resulting strain, and collateral damage will be high due to the use of large quantities of N2 mines and reaction warheads

A/N: The start of Turn 10. Choose wisely! Please vote, discuss, and critique.

Well got down the 2 AI escaping the council.

ALICE

ALICE, or “Advanced Logistic and Inconsequence Cognizing Equipment”, was an experimental Artificial Intelligence installed on the MSA-0011 S Gundam. Although "She" is never visually present, Alice is considered the heroine (though not protagonist) of the Gundam Sentinel photo-novel. While Ryou...

Alice is one of the main charactes from Gundam Sentinel and co-pilot of the MSA-0011 Superior Gundam and is from 0088 UC in canon UC gundam from the sentinel gundam novel, funny thing this gundam was developed from Judau ZZ as the basis and it is a prototype.

Frontier Setter is the AI from Expelled from Paradise and Angela co-pilot for the new arhan, he is mostly a hacker type AI and control mission from what I remember from SRW T.

This is kinda a hard choice, since we either get access to more gundam or we get a very good hacker.

For research I am either going for Knightmares or the 00 gundams, we are already close to the climax for those series we will need firepower on those parts, hell awakening of the trailblazers gundams will put stuff out of rails and we can do some funny shenanigans with the Quan T if we mix it with lambda drivers and biosensors if we go by SRW V.

For the UC stuff, tbh we will need to put some heavy work there for the hard hitting units, this is the F90 we are getting and not the F91 after all and the Victory series, well unless we have the V2 and the AB parts we won't be pulling wings of light anytime soon.

As for the events fuck, this is gonna leave a lot of spots, but we need to take 2 events in specific in a obligatory manner.

The 4 way showdown with the angels and what I suspect is the final showdown with Zagato.

Reminder SEELE stuff needs the pilots as broken as they can be, so we really need to intervene there.

Then there is Zagato and the fucking plotwist of having to kill Princess Emeraude.

The girls while they do have a support network it is really not enough that you have to tell 3 middle schoolers that you have to kill somebody to save the world and that is your mission.

[X] Plan: The calm and the storm that is approaching.
-[X] Bond with one of the girls (you can only pick this once)

Man this was a hard one, for bonding, I feel we really cannot let those bond points go away, this situation is really a clusterfuck either way so I doubt asking the system gonna do much can change vote if someone makes a valid enough argument tho.

As for Banagher and Kazuya, tbh Banagher really needs to start developing a safety net outside the people he knows and what better than a super robot pilot like Kazuya to give some confidence.

Choosing Frontier Setter over Alice, while the gundam may be nice, Frontier Setter is a very great hacker and may come pretty useful to infiltrate the networks from Blue Cosmos and Brittania.

Choosing the GN over everything else, while the knightmares could be useful, Ribbons is probably gonna be stepping his game up sooner than later, specially since Lockon totalled the Throne Zwei, so Celestial being will need all the firepower they can get, specially if the bastard gets early access to the reborns gundam after Ali little fiasco.

Bureaucracy since well, we really need one where the people can fall back after the literal declaration of civil war of the Federation and really bringing those 4 in isn't a bad idea, specially for Orb, since Blue Cosmos is already on the warpath I see Orb being attacked rather sooner than later.

Lady and the Unicorn is mostly for a cookie for us, the last thing we need is some variable like Neo-Zeon getting their hands on the laplace box or the conoly laser that comes with it.

Already gave reasons for Cephiro and Angel events, those kids really gonna the the moral support for the clusterfuck that is Rayearth first part ending and the 4 way batttle with the Angels.

We also need to do Cephiro stuff for the eventual time Debonair rises their ugly face, because no matter what that bitch will be gunning for us.

For the Two AIs I am leaning toward the one that can work with it pilot to create and a machine and pilot with what seems like Newtype level reaction time and ability with out need of a Cybernewtype.

For the research I would actually push for the UC and Wing Gundam stuff is best because the F90 Gundam is the bases for a lot of really cool stuff like the Variable Speed beam weapons that laugh at energy shields and the beam shields that we can put on more then custom units. It is also the Start of the research that leads to the Bio-brain that we see in the F91 which is the Bio-Sensor Upgrade in a sense but along a slightly different research path then the Psychoframe. The Victory Gundam series is a very good group of suits and the V2 with a Newtype blows damm near an real robot out of the water. The Heaygun should also be be more then a match for anyone else's mooks and the Javalin and Gunblaster make everything else just look bad.

The Akatsuki Gundam with it's ability to just deflect beams that actually hit it would also be a nice thing to have.

The F90 series is also the suits that had the AI supports that were based on Char and Amuro's combat data so they could be helpful in getting the White Devil in to a better suits and meaning the Hi-Nu Gundam is even more of a monster when we get it.

Why do we need Frontier Setter to hack Blue Cosmos net work when we have the Samsara system which is the combination of a bunch of AI's that can do that job and we have and bunch of insider plus the Knight of Six to make clear what Charles is trying to do.

A AI that works as a Co-pilot and can even take control if necessary and pilot a mobile suit well enough to take out a Human Ace pilot seems like it would be very useful to have.

If Ribbions plays his hand in full then more then Celestial Being is going to be going after him and I don't think we need to rush the Second Season OO stuff to deal with him. I also don't see Ribbions getting early access to the Reborns Gundam and even if he does it's not that much of a game changer to be worried about over other things. The fact that we dealt with Corner earlier and also Kill Ali and recaptured the Throne Zwei means that Ribbons human allies and support have been badly damage to the point he seems to have thrown in with either ZAFT or Giganos which means his ability to act independently has suffered greatly.

Being worried about what he will do does not stand as a good reason in my eyes to push the GN research over the other two options. The option also says that we will get the units early not that we not get them at all while the UC, Wing and Seed option will give us access to suits that are outside of the series we are actually using in this cross over for the UC stuff and are giant leaps in terms of suit quality in several areas.

The choice is between getting suits early or getting suit we might not get a chance to ever get again so I think it best to take the option that gives us things we might not get another chance at over things we will get access to.

[X] Plan: Victory Gundam lead us to Victory.

The girls while they do have a support network it is really not enough that you have to tell 3 middle schoolers that you have to kill somebody to save the world and that is your mission.

I still think that plottwist was dumb and it kind of lead to the girls have to continually kill shit because of how important Emeraude was and how killing her made things even worse in some respects. I hope we can make things better with the cross over elements in true because that plottwist was always weak in my eyes.

I'd argue that Magic Knight Rayearth's plot twist is part of what makes the story work, otherwise it would have been just another cliché shoujo fantasy story, albeit one done by CLAMP.

Also, I'd appreciate some reasoning for your plan, @EvaUnit01, given you have some...odd choice combinations.

..Ok, so I'm leaning towards Frontier Setter, but I have a question.

Is it *just* Frontier Setter, or did Angelica manage to hook on?

Angela is the only one I could see surviving, thanks to Frontier Setter and the fact that she is a partially digital existence. She could be around, even if she's not with Frontier Setter.

But geez, if shit was going any more wrong, I would assume that Humanity is actively being manipulated.

Like by the Great General of Darkness. Or by Blue Cosmos. Or by Charles vi Brittania. Or by SEELE- Actually which villains aren't manipulating people on a grand scale?

Ok, first order of business. We need Relena to start a new political faction. The quicker we draw support away from Charlie and Murata, the better. And we need to pour our all into this, despite some lingering concerns for the support we can get. Not only will it solidify us, but keeping the Vist foundation out will only be to our benefit as the events of Unicorn unfold.

EVA IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. Everything we know means they're really going to need the help.

Cephiro, while not as dangerous as EVA events, still needs our support. The battle against Zagato is very hard on the Magic Knights, and they come out of the final battle absolutely crushed. Much like the EVA kids, they'll need our support and, more importantly, a support structure.

If I make a Plan, I'll call it "It takes a Village to raise Super Robot Heroes", because these are the two most important.

The remaining picks are...essentially, support picks in different ways.

We can reinforce the Unicorn plot to prevent any stray bullshit from coming in, which could be very helpful.

We can get knowledge from Dancouga Nova of a major threat, and probably get them on-side (alongside R-Daigun) earlier.

We can slap down Nergal, preventing issues within our own structure.

Or we can hunt down A-LAWS crossover support.

Gonna be blunt, A-LAWS is...I'm uncertain this would help too much. They're probably being heavily affected by the sudden Civil War, and I am leery of what influence Giganos or ZAFT would have over them.

The others...Hm.

About Frontier Setter, I wasn't originally planning on bringing Angelica in. However, if you do pick him, I might do something like roll to see how much of her is intact. Tentatively though, still thinking about that.

I...hm.

Ok, you know what, Frontier Setter would definitely be my pick, then. I'm otherwise a bit ambivalent, but Chance of Angela is a definite plus to that.

Yeah, if something I doubt we can even change the outcome from the Rayearth season 1 ending.

Zagato is not someone you can diplomacy your way out, even those who see his true motives cannot reason with the love of the high priest.

2nd the pillar system of Cephiro is beyond fucked till the end of Rayearth where the magic knights tell the original system to go screw itself and put in place another one.

Even on T and 30 nothing could be done, like we would need high end reality manipulators if we even want to recruit Zagato and show him a different path.

Then there is Emeraude, after pretty much going mad with grief over Zagato death her only and last will is to be killed to reunite with Zagato.

Also reminder that we want to railroad Unicorn plot till a certain point, apart from the laplace box and the colony laser, reminder that there is the Neo Zeong too to worry about by the end of Unicorn plot.

And that shit scares me, like only seen it on V, but one of his attacks being pretty much here have your premium trial version toned down moonlight butterfly is something we don't want to mess with, specially with how screwy psychoframes are.

[X] Plan: The calm and the storm that is approaching.

While I am open to different options, Relena's Politics, Cephiro, and EVA are incredibly important, and I would choose Frontier Setter, with a chance of Angela.

And, aside from the current functions of the Samara system being our Seer...I don't know if it will actively do Hacking for us, and if we could, we could lose that chance to do something else with said System. Even then, overreliance on the Samsara system could be disastrous.

Frontier Setter also isn't a mere hacking AI, but is a very worldly AI, with a great deal of fascination and knowledge as well as being very good at learning. He's an Intelligence resource, not just hacking (although he's pretty good at that.) And, depending on if we get Angela and her condition, we could get an ace there as well.

Also, I just realized I fucked up Angela's name multiple times. Why did I think her name was Angelica?

Anyways, if we did ALICE System, we'd get an Ace with the potential of an Intelligence asset in her learning AI. If we do Frontier Setter with Angela, we get an Intelligence asset with an eventual Ace, although that Ace is liable to need a lot of recovery, depending on her condition.

Throwing my own plan into the mix... opinions are welcome

[X] Plan Securing our Position
-[X] Bond with one of the girls (you can only pick this once)

-[X] Consult the Samsara system
-[X] Socialize with someone else (you may pick this action twice)

Personals: Taking the Samsara option now because I think it's a good time for it and I'm curious to see how it works. As for socials, I want to see how the Wing boys managed to make common cause with His Excellency and I want to boost the bond with the offensive focused subpilot.

AI + Research: I'm fine with either of the AIs, but currently decided to go for Frontier, since hacking has its uses and it could also get us a pilot (I'm willing to hear more opinions on which AI to take). As for research... either GN Particle Technology or Mobile Suit Evolutions are the ones we should be going for. On the one hand, the GN tech would give us a nice mix of improved Gundams, mook units and a ship upgrade, while also reducing the threat of Ribbons in case he managed to make good use of whatever sponsor he has to still get the tech he had in Season 2 and it would be a tech that will mostly remain in our hands (remember that Mobile Suit Evolutions is coming from Romefeller, a faction that we haven't quite fully subverted yet, so going for Mobile Suit Evolutions arguably runs the risk of putting us in a position of dealing with an enemy that will also have access to what we get from Mobile Suit Evolutions, unless the dissolution of Neo-Hope has left Duke Dermail in a bad enough position that he would be willing to step down and let either Dorothy or Treize lead Romefeller in his stead, which would mostly secure Romefeller as an ally). On the other hand, Mobile Suit Evolutions is also quite a good mix of mook units and a Gundam unit made mostly for versatility and which a its later version is a good mass production Gundam unit.

Solar Vanguard: Expanding the bureaucracy to meet the needs of a chaotic bureaucracy and The value of a miracle when Tokyo stood still! Asuka Langley Soryu dies in lava?!. are pretty much mandatory. We need a third faction to exist and stand up against both Charles' Britannia and Azrael's Blue Cosmos so that we can unify the Earth under one benevolent group in order to better deal with other threats and we need to shore-up the NERV pilots and make sure they remain mentally stable. Taking all suboptions in Bureaucracy to make sure Vist doesn't worm its way into our faction. As for the other two actions... we can't afford to have Nergal pull out at a time like this, so we need to secure their loyalty here and now. Fine with either of the suboptions for that action, but for now I'm going with diplomacy. We also want to make sure that the current development for Gundam Unicorn stays on rails, so we need to take The Lady and the Unicorn as well.

True about Nergal, specially since we haven't touched yet upon that card about the lizards.

But fucking hell it is a times like these that you really start to miss Banjo, Maito or Wata to work as the stable fund income, they really work their magic so we don't have to relly on stuff like Nergal for funding.

Hm...Honestly, I'm agreeing with you on Nergal, but I think getting the Cephiro girls some support is more important than ensuring the Unicorn plot goes without interference.

Now, I am not saying we can avert the canonical results of that Final Battle, honestly I think we'd need to pick up Gunbuster or get a Gurren Lagann or Daitarn 3 assist for that, possibly both, but that's not the important thing..

The important thing is making sure they have help and support, both in reaching that final battle and in the aftermath. We also know the Council is very interested in Cephiro, so they could be fucking about there as we speak.

Ultimately, i think we could handle potential interferences in the Unicorn plot, even if it does turn into a clusterfuck. Most of the potential interference is as liable to fight eachother, at least.

The problem with this is that Haman's with the Vanguard, and she likely won't be pleased if we skip on The Lady and the Unicorn because it puts Mineva at risk. And as I've said, the variance we're getting from not allying with the Garanceries to rescue Mineva isn't something we want to deal with. Moral support for the Cephiro girls can be provided after their final battle (see Zero's action) and without having to use an action to involve ourselves in their final battle. All-in-all, it would be an important action, but it came a time where it competes with more important actions.

Also, I'd appreciate some reasoning for your plan, @EvaUnit01, given you have some...odd choice combinations.
??? I didn't expect I was gonna called on to explain myself, but whatever. No big deal.

-[] Consult the Samsara system
You gave it as an option and I don't see a reason not to take it insofar as trying to end the civil war in our favor as reasonably quickly as possible to mitigate the in-universe suffering it will create.

-[] Socialize with someone else (you may pick this action twice)
--[] Kira
--[] Banagher
I'm not really that worried about or interested in following the Gundam Unicorn plot, but I did think it would be worth helping show Banagher that he's got people like him going through similar kinds of shit and in search of similar aims -- that he has peers in the truest sense, even if they may not necessarily share his specific battlefield. Aside from Kira being one of the best available candidates to uphold in such a way, I frankly like Kira and wouldn't mind a small moment of hanging out with him for its own sake.

-[] ALICE System
Because we already have two notable hackers, one of them in the W-0 unit and the other being Ruri Hoshino. And despite having played SRW T, I have no real direct attachment to Frontier Setter or his series -- but there's no such thing as Too Much Gundam IMO.

-[] GN Particle technology
As much as I have more attachment to the Camelot crew than to Gundam 00's supporting characters (emphasis on supporting), I think rapid-upgrading the Gundam 00 units will yield a greater benefit than upgrading our ace KMFs given how much we've been leaning on TRANS-AM.

-[] Expanding the bureaucracy to meet the needs of a chaotic bureaucracy
--[] Marina Ismail
--[] Kaguya Sumeragi
--[] The Ruling Council of Orb
--[] UN Spacey representative Milia Fallyna Jenius
Others have said that we should do this to better help manage the global geopolitics, and I don't disagree. You said we can have as many or as few of the suboptions as we want, and I didn't see a clear downside to just using them all.

-[] Refining Beastly Instinct
I generally like Dancougar Nova as a show and have been wondering for a long while if the Lunar Will is indeed still a factor in this SRW, so I'm voting to follow my curiosity and find out now that an opportunity sits before me. It's not that complicated of a decision on my part.

-[] A Demon's Sorrow
-[] The value of a miracle when Tokyo stood still! Asuka Langley Soryu dies in lava?!
I think it's pretty well agreed by everyone else that letting the NGE crew get super traumatized is bad given the established lore and conditions of the quest so far (and even just for its own sake), so I'm voting for the NGE event.

But given that we also just had Nunnally kidnapped, I also want to give Lelouch a chance to get whatever's on his chest off of it to further mitigate the risk of him absolutely losing his goddamn mind and doing something stupid and self-destructive that will hinder the overall war effort.

I personally rate an unstable Lelouch as a greater issue of concern than I do Nergal just being stubborn, in fair part because even though Akatsuki can often be an absolute scumbag and some absolutely infuriating priorities, he also tends to have a clearer head at his worst than Lelouch does at his worst -- which makes him, in my estimation, a bit easier to reason with. And if our forming an entire political faction to absorb huge chunks of the crumbling Earth Alliance works out, then Nergal pulling its logistical support should theoretically be somewhat offset by that -- which is a loss of leverage that might make Akatsuki think twice about backstabbing us, especially when he's more than wily enough to know that if he tries it anyway, we can and most likely will bring absolute hell down on him and his entire company in retaliation. If our political action goes to plan, then I expect Akatsuki would grit his teeth and be willing to negotiate something in the interests of his own self-preservation. (And come to think of it, isn't the guy behind Dragon's Hive supposed to be super rich too? A tighter rappor with the organization could get some of his funding our way too.)

I'm also pretty sure that Lelouch is only attending by video because his Geass has gone runaway, and that's worth confirming.

I don't think the political action will actually affect whether or not Nergal stays. In my eyes, I think Nergal's decision to stay or leave works in the following way (note that I could very well be wrong about this):

If Appealing to Ereshkigal is taken: At the very least gives us a chance that Nergal doesn't leave the Solar Vanguard or improves the odds of us passing the roll for Nergal to stay, at best might even guarantee that they stay, no rolls involved in the decision.
If Appealing to Ereshkigal is not taken: Nergal is guaranteed to leave. At best, we may be subjected to a harder roll for them to not pull out.

Unrelated to EvaUnit01's plan and since we're discussing plans... can I get the thread's opinion on the following obeservation regarding Mobile Suit Evolutions?
remember that Mobile Suit Evolutions is coming from Romefeller, a faction that we haven't quite fully subverted yet, so going for Mobile Suit Evolutions arguably runs the risk of putting us in a position of dealing with an enemy that will also have access to what we get from Mobile Suit Evolutions, unless the dissolution of Neo-Hope has left Duke Dermail in a bad enough position that he would be willing to step down and let either Dorothy or Treize lead Romefeller in his stead, which would mostly secure Romefeller as an ally

That might have been how it was intended by the QM in which case some confirmation could be helpful, but I would point out that none of the involved works or factions here exist in a vacuum. Nergal have to know that pretty much every major player outside the Solar Vanguard is our enemy, and that leaving us to collaborate with any of those other factions is going to put a huge literal target on their backs. Akatsuki and Prospector are the types to try and manage or outright remove that kind of liability to the greatest extent possible, which means even just the threat of leaving might be a bluff to try and control us.

That said, there's also every reasonable chance that it isn't a bluff, but given my (perhaps flawed) understanding of the in-universe world and its circumstances at this point, I'm more inclined to think it's an easier risk to take than some of the other options.

....and, come to think of it. The Earth Federation is already in a state of civil war since Blue Cosmos and Britannia are turning on each other; I fail to see how Laplace's Box is of any major relevance now.

EDIT 2: the more I think about it, the more the cost-benefit ratio from Nergal's perspective still seems to trend toward working with the Solar Vanguard more than against it, however grudgingly. After all, the Solar Vanguard's firepower helps provide at least some deterrence against the likes of Blue Cosmos, Britannia, or any other antagonistic Earth Sphere factions trying to muscle in and take Nergal and its resources for themselves or even trying to destroy Nergal outright.

Recap on some generalities with regards to some Gundam series units:
As for strengths and weaknesses, I'll say this much: UC units are generally consistent, having good power output with Minovksy reactors and good beam weapons, at the cost of needing exotic tech likes psychoframe to really be high performance. 00 units perform well on their own, but due to how new the tech is, some of the logistics issues are still being puzzled out, and pushing them to the limit for high performance leads to reduced effectiveness in the short term afterwards. Seed units run on batteries, and as a result have less longevity, but that also means they're not reliant on having a supply chain of Helium-3. Wing units that aren't the Gundams are generally cheaper to manufacture, and can do wonderful things in the hands of skilled pilots at the cost of being...mediocre otherwise.

After a bit more thinking on the matter, I still believe that we should take Expanding the bureaucracy to meet the needs of a chaotic bureaucracy, The value of a miracle when Tokyo stood still! Asuka Langley Soryu dies in lava?! and Appealing to Ereshkigal are actions that we really should take on this turn, while the fourth Solar Vanguard should be one of the following: A Demon's Sorrow, The Lady and the Unicorn or Showdown in Cephiro.

EDIT: More information on the units we can get from research that are more obscure: GAT-01A1 Dagger, Gundam F90 (and its packs/variants), GN-X II.
A potential way to sum up the differences between going for Mobile Suit Evolutions or GN Particle technology as our research action is as follows: GN Particle technology represents power (Trans-Am is still our strongest power multiplier as of yet, and this research would also somewhat pave the way for us to get it on non-Gundam type Gundam 00 units as well; also, the GN-X squad is currently our strongest generic type squad, at Ability 7, though this can change in the future even if we don't go for the GN research), while Mobile Suit Evolutions represents versatility (the Dagger units and the Windam (once we get the research for it) can use Striker Packs, which allows them to serve multiple roles depending on what is needed and what is available to use; same thing with the F90 and its Variants that are attained via the attachment of equipment on its hardpoints).

Really think the leading plan should drop Refining Beastly Instinct, as the current development for Dancouga Nova is neither an emergency nor something that we really need to speed up (whatever things we're getting earlier from going for Refining Beastly Instinct are stuff that's merely nice to have most likely). In its place, Appealing to Ereshkigal and The Lady and the Unicorn are much more pressing and would cause us significant issues if not taken. Otherwise, it is mostly fine, even though I think it's a good time to social Heero and see how he and the rest of the Colony Gundam Pilots decided to team up with Treize.
