You are Mira Ayana, and you're pretty sure the last time the Federation mustered an invasion force this large was during the invasion of Britannia.
You and Fog Sweeper are currently in a video meeting with Bright, Otto, Sumeragi, Lelouch, and Tetsuya.
"So, how's it look at that island they tracked down Shin Dragon to?" You ask.
"Well, for starters, it's swarming with Invaders. The moment we approach, we'll be swarmed." Tetsuya notes grimly.
"There's no sign of Shin Dragon itself, but given their ability to dig, it's likely that the Invaders have moved Shin Dragon underground. It's likely preparing to deploy as soon as Cohen and Stinger are finished with whatever they're doing." Bright says.
"And here I thought we'd have an easy time of it for once." You sigh sarcastically. "We got a plan?"
"Saotome Labs has developed two separate countermeasures for use against Invaders. One's an anti-Getter missile, and the other's a pure Getter missile designed to overload the Invader body with Getter Rays." Lelouch explains. "If we can't break through to Shin Dragon, we'll wait for it to deploy, then fire a massive pure Getter bomb at it to try and overload it."
"Why not just hit it with anti-Getter missiles first?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.
"Dr. Shikishima of Saotome Labs said that the projected output of Shin Dragon's reactors is so high that current anti-Getter technology would be useless against it." Sumeragi says. "At best, they'd tickle it a bit, but nothing else."
"And I assume if that doesn't work, we just throw every Super Robot we have on the field at it?" You ask.
"Unfortunately, that's our only other option." Otto says regretfully.
"Go prepare for deployment." Fog Sweeper says. "I'll determine the other details of the operation.
You nod before heading down to the hangar.
Aboard the Ra Cailum
As Ryoma Nagare helps prepare Shin Getter Robo for launch, he hears rapidly approaching footsteps. He turns to see a blonde man approaching him.
"Oh, son of a-they let you in on this operation?" Ryoma snarls as he realizes he's looking at Schwartz Koff.
"Fuck you too, Ryoma. Only reason I agreed to be here is to make sure Sho Tachibana doesn't bite it out there." Schwartz says.
"Still holding a torch for her, huh? Not even her being declared missing in action and later presumed dead was enough to deter you! And I thought you'd gotten the hint the first time she slapped you!" Ryoma retorts.
Schwartz simply gives Ryoma the middle finger in response.
"So, what did they give you for this op?" Ryoma asks.
"Take a look at that beauty." Schwartz jabs his thumb to a slot across the hangar bay.
Ryoma glances at where Schwarz indicated and double takes.
"The GP-03? I thought that was only rated for space!" Ryoma points out.
"This one's been modified for use in atmosphere under 1 G. It's going to fly like a brick, but I'll have firepower." Schwartz says.
"No other mobile armor caught your eye?" Ryoma asks.
Schwartz scoffs.
"Please. Most other mobile armors are old Zeon junk that'd be even more of a pain to adapt to in-atmo operations than the Gp-03. And don't get me started on how clunky some of the aquatic models are! I'd rather make it through this op alive, thank you very much."
"Nice to know you're still confident in your abilities. Try not to die out there." Ryoma says.
"Same to you." Schwartz responds.
Schwartz heads back over to the GP-03, while Ryoma continues to help prepare Shin Getter Robo.
