Think we want to focus more on the inside rather than outside, since when the rest of our units arrive, they'll be outside Industrial 7 and mostly in a position to focus on the Geara Zulu units. The question is if we should go all-in after the Kshatryia or if we leave the Throne outside (note that the only unit that has EWAC as a trait is Dragonar-3; the support that Throne Drei can offer is limited to the one-time use Stealth Field and the additional equipment it carries in its Shield Pods)...

[x] Split Push

I love Nena to bits, but I fear she'll be more of a hindrance than an asset inside the Colony -- partly on the basis of Allelujah potentially having to split his attention between keeping her and the enemy, and partly because I'm leery of expecting Throne Drei's stealth field to be much help against Cyber-Newtypes.

Remember: the fight inside caused quite a bit of massive civilian casualties.

Remember: the fight inside caused quite a bit of massive civilian casualties.
Indeed. It's a complete mess, and it could've been even worse.

Unfortunately, as stated previously, neither Hallelujah or Nena are exactly trustworthy inside a space colony right now. We really don't want those kinds of explosions happening, if we're gonna salvage the double whammy of the Jovian's history and Laplace's Box.

The good news is, Kshatriya is gonna set off the NT-D once it engages Unicorn. Bad news is, it's gonna set off the NT-D. We'll have to hope Banagher maintains control, or at least gets outside the colony first.

Of these, Marida and the Kshatriya are by far the biggest threat. Between her being a Cyber Newtype (and not just any Cyber, either) and the Kshatriya's frankly ridiculous specs, she can probably slaughter most of the mooks solo if she wants. We do have Riddhe inside the colony right now, but he's stuck with a standard ReZEL (not that the ReZEL is a bad machine by any metric, considering it's a mass produced Zeta and all) and ECOAS are going to be no help with just Lotos. Of course, Unicorn is here too, but it hasn't woken up yet and it could easily go horribly wrong if it doesn't recognize Riddhe and the new Gundam Team as friendlies. Once it does get started though, it'll basically be over. That Gundam is unfair.

I'd advise leaving the Nahel and it's force to engage the Gearas. Zulus are damn good machines, but they can't completely outdo everyone else's baseline like the Zeon machines from the Gryps era could, so the mooks can handle it. If we must send someone after the Kshatriya, send Allelujah - he should be fine unless Marida does something to get Hallelujah in the pilot's seat.

[X] Exterior damage control

[X] Split Push

Voting for this for now since, as I've said earlier, we can deal with the Gearas after the rest of our forces for this mission arrive, but the 2 ReZELs, 2 Lotos and the D Type Jegan inside Industrial 7 are unlikely to be able to defeat the Kshatriya, so we need to send someone inside to reinforce them (besides, in-canon, Industrial 7 gets damaged by the fighting anyways, and if things go well, if we send a unit inside, we may be able to finish the battle faster and reduce the damage taken by the colony; that said, there may be some merit in going for Exterior damage control in the hopes that the Kshatriya may decide to prioritize helping the outside forces if they're losing too hard rather than rescue the people who went to meet up with Cardeas for the exchange, but that's unlikely to happen).
Also, I'm still thinking that, for this event, we might also have to deal with the Sleeves follow-up attack on the Nahel Argama, and that entails a fight with Full Frontal most likely, so we should be ready for that possibility.

Space Around Industrial 7

You are Nena Trinity, and you are unsure of how to handle the current situation.

"Nena, give me some extra weapons, I'm going after the Kshatriya!" Allelujah says.

You have the Throne Drei pop open its GN shield pod and toss the Kyrios a pair of hand launchers loaded with GN missiles. The Kyrios grabs them and gives you a quick nod before jetting toward where the Kshatriya entered the colony.

"You stay out here and help Londo Bell with the Geara Zulus. The Ra Cailum should be here in a bit, so hold out until then!" Allelujah says before he gets out of comm range.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHG_gJWP_ys

You sigh before pulling out the Throne Drei's GN handguns.

"Haro! Feed targeting data to Londo Bell." You command.

"Roger. Roger." The purple Haro in your cockpit chirps.

You charge into the fray, firing your GN handguns at the closest Geara Zulu as soon as you're in range.

"Come on Neo Zeon, entertain me! The last two months have been cruddy to me, so you'll have to make up for it!" You laugh as the Geara Zulu you fired at goes down in flames.

Another pair of Geara Zulus turns toward the Throne Drei, only for a ReZEL and a D Type Jegan to blindside them with beam rounds. Your Gundam quickly becomes another face in the crowd as Londo Bell and the Sleeves go at it, with you feeding targeting data to the former.

Result: Massive collateral damage to the interior of Industrial 7. ReZELs and D Type Jegan are destroyed.

You gaze through a pair of binoculars at a ReZEL clashing with a green mobile suit that has Neo Zeon insignia on it. The green mobile suit cuts off the ReZEL's saber arm, smashes in its visor with a manipulator on one of its wings, and kicks it aside. You see a second ReZEL fire its beam rifle at the green mobile suit, which responds by charging forward and slamming it into the ground below. A trio of what you realize are funnels skewer the unfortunate ReZEL with beam rounds, which promptly explodes.

"There are holes in the colony." One of your classmates says in horror.

"The school's around there!" Another classmate realizes.

"It's war. War has broken out." You say as you lower your binoculars.

You rub your eyes before putting the binoculars back up to them.

A greenish yellow glow gets your attention, and you see a white and orange Gundam, which you vaguely recognize as one of Celestial Being's, flit about before firing a positively enormous salvo of missiles from a pair of hand launchers that it's wielding. The green mobile suit jets backward to avoid the missiles, which detonate in midair, showering the surrounding area with the same strange particles that Celestial Being's Gundams emit.

The green mobile suit brings its funnels to bear, and the Celestial Being Gundam immediately discards its hand launchers before shifting into a mobile armor form and jetting away from it at high speed. The funnels attempt to bombard the Gundam from all directions, but it's able to evade the worst of the salvo by shifting back into mobile suit form and applying reverse thrust. A trio of funnels reacquire the Gundam, but one of them misses entirely, and the other two's beam rounds are deflected by a strange, spherical barrier that encompasses the Gundam.

"Audrey." You hear your friend Banagher mutter before he breaks out into a dead sprint toward the lift.

"Wait Banagher!" Micott yelps in surprise as she goes after him.

"H-Hey!" You make to follow them, as do the rest of your classmates after they realize the severity of the situation.

Your group manages to make it down to one of the service entrances to the Snail, where Banagher desperately tries to override the door controls. You and Micott are with him. Your classmates are assembled in front of the door.

"We can't get out of here?!" One of your classmates shouts.

You key the intercom on the door control while keeping a grip on Banagher's Haro.

"Hey, open up!" You shout.

Banagher suddenly turns to look up, and seconds later, a beam round sweeps the platform and the door that he'd been trying to open. Banagher grabs Micott to prevent her from being blown away by the resulting gust of wind. You and him glance up to see a D Type Jegan firing at the green mobile suit. It is promptly cut in half by the green mobile suit's beam saber. Celestial Being's Gundam fires a beam SMG at the green mobile suit to drive it off.

"Hey Banagher! Micott, you're not hurt, are you? What about the others-" You're interrupted by Banagher tackling you to the ground.

"Takuya!" He yells.

The door that Banagher had been trying to open melts and explodes, and a ReZEL emerges from the resulting hole to join the fight against the green mobile suit.

You stare at the ensuing clashes in horror, barely remembering to keep Banagher's Haro in your arms. You're brought out of your fugue when you hear Micott whimpering.

"Esther, Marco, Dennis, Tom...everyone!" She says tearfully.

"Micott!" Banagher grabs Micott and pulls her back.

"WHERE'D EVERYONE GO?!" Micott shrieks before breaking down in tears. You look at the platform where, seconds before, all of your classmates were. Now, there is only a rapidly cooling scorch mark going along the length of the platform, and, if you squint, floating particles of ash. You suppress the urge to vomit upon realizing that those particles of ash are likely all that's left of your classmates.

"Takuya, take care of Micott." Banagher says.

"What about you?" You ask in confusion.

"There's someone I have to rescue." Banagher responds.

"Huh?" You blink in befuddlement.

"Don't you recognize the mobile suit that just ripped through here?" Banagher asks rhetorically.

"It looked like a Zeta-type transformable mobile suit. I think it's from the Federation." You say.

"Then its mothership should be at the Snail. Have them protect you." Banagher says before shoving Micott at you. He then grabs onto the railing and pushes off it into the newly made hole that the ReZEL emerged from.

"Don't leave me here, Banagher! I can't have you leave me! Banagher!" Micott says hysterically. You have to let go of Banagher's Haro to restrain her.

Okay, how do we get to the Snail from here? You think to yourself grimly.

You are Allelujah Haptism, and you are not happy with how this battle has been going.

Combat with the Kshatriya has, despite your best efforts, resulted in massive damage to the interior of Industrial 7. You wince as you see a tank of flammable gas in the distance detonate. There are two main problems with fighting the Kshatriya: the first is obviously its 24 funnels, which the pilot clearly knows how to use, and the second is that it is far more agile than its size and profile would suggest. You and the newly arrived ReZEL barely manage to avoid a slash from the Kshatriya's beam saber when you suddenly get an incoming comm signal.

"Celestial Being, this is Daguza Mackle. I have an idea on how to stop the enemy mobile suit." The newly introduced Daguza says.

After turning on your cockpit's voice modifier, you hash out Daguza's plan with the pilot of the ReZEL.

You fire a burst from your GN beam SMG to get the Kshatriya's attention, then both you and the ReZEL go into mobile armor mode and jet away from the enemy machine. The Kshatriya makes to follow, only for Daguza's Loto to step out from its hiding place and unload all of its missiles at the enemy pscyhomachine. Although the Kshatriya is able to dodge the first few missiles, its evasion vector causes it slam into a falling piece of debris, and the rest of the missiles detonate against its hull. Your hopes are quickly dashed, however, when the smoke clears to reveal that the Kshatriya had retracted its wing pods around itself, and as a result has not suffered any major damage. You turn to see that Daguza has gotten out of his Loto's cockpit and is aiming a recoilless launcher at the Kshatriya and realize that he's turned to plan B. You immediately turn the Kyrios to face the other side of the colony interior as Daguza fires, and the Kshatriya once again retracts its wing pods around itself. Daguza's flash round detonates, and he immediately leaps off his Loto not a moment too soon, as the Kshatriya's funnels haphazardly spray it with beam rounds, eventually cutting it in half. The Kshatriya itself tumbles to the ground, still blinded from the flash round.

As a second ReZEL prevents what's left of Daguza's Loto from colliding with a pedestrian causeway, you and another Loto pursue the Kshatriya deeper into the interior of the colony when you suddenly see a new IFF appear on your display.

"What the...RX-0...Unicorn?" You say in confusion.

You see nothing but smoke and fire, but a spontaneously formed air pocket gives you a brief glimpse of a stark white mobile suit with a single large horn on its head unit.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFpSqAwckyY

The Kshatriya evidently sees it too, and brings 6 funnels to bear and fire on the Unicorn. The Unicorn surges forward and tackles the Kshatriya, which barely has time to draw its beam saber. The Unicorn's thrusters flare, causing it and the Kshatriya to shoot forward. You have to shift the Kyrios into mobile armor form to keep pace and see the Unicorn crush the Kshatriya's right hand, and with it, its beam saber.

The Unicorn slams the Kshatriya through two support structures as it goes forward. You see the Kshatryia's funnels forming up behind you and make to evade before realizing that they're not targeting you, they're firing at the colony wall behind it so it won't be slammed through that too.

The Unicorn and Kshatriya separate as they enter open space. As the Unicorn tumbles a bit to regain its bearings, the Kshatriya brings all 24 of its funnels to bear and fires on it from multiple angles. The beams, instead of skewering the Unicorn, are deflected around it by an I-Field, and you see the Unicorn start to change. Glowing red lines appear around its body, unfolding to reveal what you're pretty sure are glowing red psychoframe panels, and adding a few meters of height to the mobile suit. The faceplate and visor shift, while the horn parts to reveal the signature V-fin of a Gundam.

What the hell did the Vist Foundation create? You think to yourself.

"IT'S A GUNDAM!" The Nahel Argama's comm officer shouts over the Londo Bell freq.

A/N: Wow the dice absolutely hate you this round huh? Also, sorry for the meme reference at the end, but I couldn't resist. No strategy vote because things are going to be...interesting next round. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Thank god we have Amuro and Judau here as they should be able to maybe get Marida to stop fighting and prevent the Unicorn from going out of control.

I predict a shitload of funnelspam in our immediate future, plus getting a SCAN off on Unicorn will probably help if it goes uncontrolled NT-D.

Ugh, not only did I forget to vote (wouldn't have mattered, since I would have voted split), but Industrial 7 got absolutely fucked. Ugggh.

No strategy vote because things are going to be...interesting next round.

Oh fucking lovely! Are we getting jumped by Invaders? Aparoids? Zonders?! Or maybe we're about to get absolutely fucked by Space Monsters!

Prevent uncontrolled NT-D? The Unicorn IS in NT-D, otherwise it wouldn't have transformed.

If Bananamanager can't get it under control, some extra information might be helpful in mitigating the problem, is what I mean.

[X] Lucia

Boy this is gonna be something, reminder that the unicorn can tank a lot of fucking damage, like only going inactive to stuff like a full power high mega cannon.

Good thing we have Judau and Kamille is willing to use the enitre power of the Zeta, sure we cannot use the waveride crash againts the Unicorn without fear of killing Baghnagers, but the hyper beam saber should at least scratch it's paint job.

On the good side, normally the events of Unicorn is the starting step to get Amuro out of his funk, reminder that in many of the timelines where he survives he is pretty much scared of the power of the psycho phrame, so this is normally the first stepping stone to talk to him and make him open about these things.

Then we have the entire can of worms that is Full Frontal if he decides to drop by, not only Amuro has to deal with someone calling themselves the red comet, but a little remidner that Char is alive and in prison, if something wonder if we could get him on board or rather Quattro Bajeena, since we don't know much about him other than him being in prison and normally the Axis Shock changes him for the better and to outrigth start despising what the red comet stood for.

Maybe we should have gone all-in on the inside, for that may have actually ensured less damage to Industrial 7 (the roll for how much damage I7 took was buffed by us sending the Kyrios to help, so sending both it and the Throne might have pushed the damage roll just enough to clear 1 of the DCs and have I7 be less damaged, even with the low roll we had; as it is, seems like the damage is about on par with what happened in canon; then again, if we didn't leave the Throne outside, the battle on the outside might have gone worse for us)

[X] Nina

We have access to Scan from Throne Drei, so I don't think we need Lucia as co-pilot. Best to have Nina slotted-in for the attack roll bonus and access to Fury, in case we have to deal with anything that has special defenses that would normally be hard to bypass without the right circumstances.

If we have to fight Destroy Mode Unicorn, our best bet is to take a page out of what Marida did to end the fight with the Unicorn during the Sleeves follow-up attack on the Nahel Argama in Episode 2: strike the cockpit hard enough to make Banagher pass out, which will disengage the Destroy Mode. As for what else we might have to deal with it... who knows. The most likely complication is that the rest of the Sleeves show up, which include Full Frontal, who's likely going to be somewhat of a problem. We might have to rely on Amuro or Kamille to fight him. Also, using the Support ReZEL's Support Module on whoever we have fight Full Frontal and double Scanning him at the right time could also help. (remember that the first Scan reveals weaknesses; subsequest uses of Scan on the same enemy inflict -1 to their rolls and -1 to its Defense DC for one round; a unit that uses Support Module trades its attack for the turn in exchange for +1 to all rolls of an allied unit for one round)

Here's hoping whoever got in the damn robot aces their roll(s) to regain control of the Unicorn before it manages to do even more damage to literally everyone.

And that's discounting the Sieg Zeon gang fucking up again and causing yet another war in the Solar System.

Well on the good side we aren't still dealing with the Banshee or worst case the Phenex so far.

Nor the worst the UC has to throw at us, like at least Full Frontal can be reasoned on some level on special cases, not the same can be said for the crazies of the jupiter empire (seriously Crux Dogatie hate boner surpasses that of Rau) or Zoltan and let's not get even started with Zanscare and them being post french revolution france 2 electric boogaloo with a vengeance, then we have Cosmo Babylonia.

But talking about Unicorn, we should probably follow Zeon stuff, just in case we can prevent stuff like the neo zeong or maybe looting that thing later down the road.

If we do indeed get jumped by Frontal here, the best we can do if we want to shake-up the plot is to at least ensure the Sleeves don't capture the Unicorn, as that would prevent them from putting a tracker on the Unicorn that would allow them to follow the path it takes so they can reach the Laplace's Box (also, Marida is ability 10; Frontal is likely at least a few points higher than that, so if we do fight, we'll have to exercise care and we'll have to mostly count on Amuro and/or Kamille to fight him off)

OKAY! NT-D TIME IT IS! THAT'S OKAY!

Right. First of all, get Amuro away from that thing. If he had an MP Nu, then maybe he could be in the presence of the Beast of Possibility without instantly dying, but a Gustav Karl? An early model Gustav Karl? Yeah no that dinosaur will get sliced to bits. Kamille and Judau have their Gundams, which I assume are up to date with post-Gryps technology, so they can probably handle it for a while if NT-D doesn't have a proper IFF (and this being the Federation, there is no way they properly programmed their little anti-Newtype superweapon to not teamkill.) but they'll need the biosensor to do it for long. The rest of the Gundam Team should, frankly, be taking billy bigsteps in the other direction, but Judau's friends are idiots, so just get them to stay at long range and do not let Unicorn get off the Beam Magnum.
