not to argue that you should let it open up for haki(You are the one that sets the rules, after all) but worth considering is that anyone that eats the fruit would have their entire body changed to OP race.

wich is why I was thinking that it actually could open up for it, as their body now followed OP rules.
I haven't taken a decision yet, while I'm not opposed to it, it's not something that I want to deal with at the moment. The quest is complicated enough to handle as it is.

But then I thought about something EVEN MORE interesting.

The fruit alters the eater's body into a zoan. What happens if we feed it to a C53?
Another interesting question. While in animal shape their "powers" if their based on a physical trait like Newter or Weld would be negated. And it might open up a fourth form for them, an animal form with their power granted mutations.

So, what would happen to any vehicle she piloted? Would it sink as she starts to operate it "herself" and would it then float again once she leaves?
If she got a dragon suit able to float or swim yes it would sink and when she left it would float again but like a boat once submerged it may not be able to rise again.

Unless you are interested in leaving behind a beautiful corpse. Oh hey would that feature keep his body from 'rotting' into decrepittitude? I.e. his body won't get older than his prime self?
It would mainly protect from decomposition, fungal infection, and microorganisms. So not useless but it's more long-term issues that are solved by unsummoning the creature.

@Kratos1990 and Zagan:
Would a trait if the Devil Arm be to incorporate different weapons and use them? Don't know enough about the Devil Arm or Nero to know just thought this be an interesting use of it. Like what if he used this on the other Creatures weapon forms?
Creature weapon shape no.

Or better yet he used this on Tinkertech weapons this insurance that they'll never need maintenance and can be used more than once. AND! The Creature Devil Amr will grow those weapons as it grows in power.
Tinkertech probably not. But maybe Magical weapons like those that we recently gained from Anomura Fungus.

Why it has to be nephilim? would having the devil bring just make him a devil hybrid?
No, it would only replace his arm with the devil buster. That's not enough, not for me anyway.

I disagree. The ability to "not rot" would technically be a form of unchanging immortality would it not? Normally a rather niche ability and one that isnt feasible to keep up constantly, but it might allow one to resist or ignore certain temporal effects that accelerate aging. Possibly. Or not, I dont know. Mostly depends on what you consider rot to be and how it would transfer over.
See my answer above.

Yes, that would be great.
Okay, I'll do it soon.

Give devil fruit to leviathan. Watch him be defeated by water.

Yes, that would be great.

Funnily enough that weakness wouldn't transfer. Turns out only the One Piece world hates Devil Fruits because they are an affront to nature. If you haven't read Doctor Vegapunks explanation in the latest chapters.
Spoil me further plz!

I am talking about applying that trait to the Keeper him/herself.
That be extremely useful against DCverse's "The Rot" or getting infected by Last Of Us's spore zombies.
...
Would this protect against ALL zombie infections? So long as there is a biological component?
Resident Evil? Not sure how that qualifies or not given what it's purpose to the body is supposed to be verses the look of the final results.

I think we drifted a little too far away from the topic. To answer your question it would depend on the specific of the zombie infection and all sort exists.
In any case, it's only useful as long as we don't summon the fruit because we can't equip the trait of something currently summoned, and if someone has eaten it counts as being summoned. Well no it counts as not being summonable. but it's the same thing because if you don't have the possibility to summon something you can't use it's traits.

If fed to a Creature does it keep the power after being unsummoned or after it is 'killed'? Or does the Creature's keep it as a permanent part of itself till...say it's pattern gets erased like the Death stalker was?

Too cool to pass up.

Also: It's something we can give anyone else. A very good powerup for any current hero we decide needs a power up. Not one of the others is a qualitative powerup for us. This is definitly a power up for someone else.

Yeah of the current Heroes if we get it I'm planning on giving the Fruit to Velocity of everyone else he would get the most benefit out of it. And because of his speed he could easily outrun any tides or hell he could probably be fast enough to run on water pulling what Brook does.

When we had the daily activity vote there was one with the potential to encounter him.

You don't say.

[X] On patrol I need to keep an eye for a new vigilante that has been running around.

Hi Theo!

[X] On patrol I need to keep an eye out for a new vigilante that has been running around.

[X] On patrol I need to keep an eye out for a new vigilante that has been running around.

Yeah, something of a broken record for me here, Imma keep voting for these till they win or disappear...

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised nobody wants to meet Theo. Is he not that popular among the fandom? I can understand why some are burned out with so many stories that focus on the Undersiders, but in my opinion Theo is a very interesting person who is under-used in most fanfics.

Yeah, that was me just being salty. Theo is my favorite character in canon worm, and I wasn't too happy that nobody on here seemed to want to meet him. Oh well, we all have different tastes.

I don't know what to say. Just read the manga. Truths are being thrown out and it is cool.

Also, @zagan would the Seraphim be a thing you would add to the Menagerie.

It's not that we don't want to meet him. It's just that most people here are consumers of Worm fics and there are few fics that feature him. And those that do just write him off like he isn't that important. Also, I have more distaste for Cauldron. Also, Coil. And the Undersiders....mostly Tattletale. I like B!tch though.

Normally I would be wary of what is by my reckoning just another headache in the form of power-granting. Look at what Grant Summoning did after all. However, the fact that it works on both partners and objects greatly expands the range of uses it grants. Furthermore, the animal form is being rolled from a combined table of mundane and Ark creatures giving the possibility of a mythical or ancient zoan.

I do want to mention that the Grant Traits strategy to find out its type is a great idea, but it should also be noted that Devil Fruits also have the trait of tasting utterly foul so there is that to be considered as well.

P.S. I don't know how to link to the google document, so I am just typing out my vote if that's alright.

Mini Omake: Leviathan Devil Bringer by JumpFail200
[X] 400 Devil Bringer + 300 Custom Sea Beast

Zoan fruit powers would be great to see, but I know there can be great fun in seeing Alex toss Crawler around with the spectral arm, or the sheer might of a Devil Bringer using the Dead ball Art to send a strong cape to the ground. And a Sea Beast to help with the boats and tanker would be a great side project as well.

[X] 400 Cavaliere + 200 Zarley Davidson

Because I come from a family history involving Harley's, my grandfather was a chapter head for the CC Riders at one time, and Alex would likely give them away with his Riding skill instead of use them himself.

Would a trait if the Devil Arm be to incorporate different weapons and use them? Don't know enough about the Devil Arm or Nero to know just thought this be an interesting use of it. Like what if he used this on the other Creatures weapon forms?

You asked Kratos1990 and zagan, but I too own and have played all 6 games, yes even DMC, so this little story bit of what the Devil Bringer can (possibly) canonically do in Worm when it comes to absorbing items of power popped into my head, enjoy.

After Leviathan

We did it, we killed an Endbringer.

We'd managed to clean up some of the larger debris from the battle when I spotted the tip of one of its regrown tails. It must have broken off when I used the Devil Bringer to throw it at Leviathan during the battle. Making sure to secure it before it gets pulled out to sea, I grabbed it with my Devil Bringers spectral arm to bring it closer, and I still can't believe what happened next.

My arm had absorbed the tip, and I could feel as a new ability appeared alongside it.

When I informed Director Piggot, she wanted to throw me into M/S containment until we could get it out, Legend and Chief Director Costa-Brown convinced her a run through the testing lab would be a more fruitful use of time than keeping me out of the media following my involvement in the first successful victory against an Endbringer.

Having to explain what this new ability does was simple, but a demonstration against a target with testing equipment would be prudent to validate my claims about it being benign despite its origins. Asking Armsmaster to bring me a 2-meter-thick sheet of blue steel was probably a bit much, but it was necessary to get my new point across.

Once they have the equipment set, I pull my arm back and focus on my spectral arm. I can see as it changes into a sharpened point, though the arm still looks the same, the fist changed into Leviathans tail tip when it was about to strike, and when it shines, I strike at the sheet.

Knowing it could pierce through Rex's scales is impressive, but seeing it shear through the sheet without even slowing down was a much clearer picture about how dangerous this can be to use, let alone what others might think about this.

Nero took pieces from other demons while on his way through to track down Dante which eventually changes into rescuing Kyrie from the Order.

Items of power like the Rusalka Corpse as one of Baels feelers gave Nero's arm the ability to glow when things are hidden near you, and the Sephirothic Fruit from the plantlike demon Echidna allowed him to wither demonic trees blocking his way.

How the Aegis Shield from Credo gives an ability to hold enemies as a shield makes little sense to me, but imagination on how a Conflict Engines cast offs might interact with Alex's own Devil Bringer was a neat exercise and brings my own reasons for voting on this across better.

Unless that isn't going to be a feature for Alex's version of the Devil Bringer @zagan?

Edit: the ability he gains from Levi in this example wasn't hydrokinesis but their layered durability as a piercing punch with his spectral arm. In game you can do things like grab incorporeal enemies out of the ground and throw large objects with it. Having an attack that punches through armor seemed a novel idea for it to gain and would be something you could conceivably get from taking his tail tip as an item of power.

Your vote won't count as valid without the pricing, you could just do what I do when I want to be lazy with votes, find someone else who's voting for the same thing as yourself, highlight it and quote them, then delete the quote brackets. Like so, see?

I hope the Zarley wins. If I'm right we would have access to a new fuel source. Cola. Also, Wapometal. Can't forget the wapometal. Also, since Alex is technically a tinker. He might even create General Franky. Since he can somehow know what to do with materials and junk.

What happen if a partner who eaten a Devil Fruit get unsummon or die/dispel. Would wild a Devil be born or we get that Devil fruit again to summon?

Is it at all possible to get an example of the kinds of things the Devil Bringer can absorb and what they do? I am unfamiliar with DMC and as far as I can tell the Devil Bringer is essentially a tool that gains new moves by absorbing boss battle loot.

EDIT: Also, thank you JumpFail200 for your advice on posting.

I'm a link to a reddit page. Just for information purposes. Also, the Devil Bringer sounds busted if Alex was allowed to keep an endbringers powers. Here.

A creature would keep it permanently.

I really like Theo too, I hope you like his new power when it's unveiled.

I'll check when I got back from work.
edit: @GamingandReading I can't find any Serpahim in the DMC wiki. Link?

It's a power that will be kept but I haven't décidé the specifics yet.
Edit: @JumpFail200 Thanks for the omake. it was fun.

Just had a thought, but I'm not sure if this has been brought up before:

We should definitely make a sidearm for Miss Militia, just incase she runs into another power suppressor again. A nice big blue steel, enchanted revolver with suitably large bullets (possibly also tipped with blue steel for armor penetration) seems like it would do the trick. Dependable, durable, powerful and small enough that she can take it everywhere and use it everywhere if she really needs it. Exactly what she needs for an emergency sidearm.

Chapter 155: Sub vote part 2
Vote closed. Winning vote: undecided.

We have a tie between "400 Devil Bringer + 300 Custom Sea Beast" and "600 Zoan Devil Fruit"
I didn't expect such fierce competition, once again you caught me off-guard. In my mind Zoan Devil Fruit was going to win in a landslide, no question asked. And it probably would have if it was against most other entries, but not Devil Bringer. And I'm delighted by such enthusiasm, by the numerous questions, by the ideas proposed, we even got a mini-omake. So no matter what thank you all.

So I want to propose a deal. I'm willing to allow you to gain "400 Devil Bringer + 600 Zoan Devil Fruit".
This cost 1000 points, more than what we got so in exchange we would go into debt but only for 200 points, and the next time we roll the Debt power, it would be taken automatically and expended immediately.

Here's the new vote.

[] Yes, go into debt to gain 400 Devil Bringer + 600 Zoan Devil Fruit
[] No, roll a 1d2 to determine who won.

I'll give you four hours to vote.

Voting will be closed Friday at 8:30 PM GMT
