Oh! Victor took out skills like marksmanship from seasoned veterans and whatnot yeah? Make it a victim of Victor! They were good at, skills were stolen, they never quite recovered, the frustration of doing something they know they were excellent at didn't help. So they got reassigned, or quite, or let go. Or whatever.
Miss J's very first students could be the victims of Victor's victims who are interested in getting their skills and normalcy back.
Plus this solves the issue of teaching people who should already be pretty good at a thing to be expert at a thing.
She could teach a class of them if there's still enough interested.
I read once (is it fanon or Canon?) that Victor took a person's ability to breathe. I wonder if how she'd teach that?
Victor's victim? That didn't occur to me at all. I may just yoink that idea. Thank you.
Not marksmanship because I don't think it's theoric enough, while there's a part that involved theory (trajectory, aerodynamic, and so on) I think it must involve a lot of practice too. Practice that can't be had in a classroom.
Perhaps not the first test, I think the PRT would prefer starting with someone that has absolutely no knowledge of a subject.
Otherwise, some people may just say that she didn't tech them just remind them.
I hope that talk with Collin wins out, with the coincidences involving Rex being an actual ripoff Godzilla, Toho bought the rights to his movie just so they could have the real Godzilla kill it, and now Eva from an old anime cult classic, there may be a point people start treating him like Ainz Ool Gown and just humor him so they don't set him off for disagreeing with what his power actually is. I partly thought Uber and Leet getting out of Brockton was them realizing some of his summons are from media, Gen V for Pokémon came out a few months ago in setting and I remember what I think was a canon quote on them being big fans of Earth Aleph imports, they out of all capes would know what Buoy was on sight. There is also this comment he made in the chapter that may push things along, whether we get a chapter about it or not.
For my own peace of mind, I'll say that nobody will ever recognize Alex's creature as coming from fiction unless it's blatantly obvious and predate Scion.
The Sarlacc from star wars would be recognized, the real Godzilla or Mothra, Krypto, The Balrog, things like that.
So here's hoping Collin doesn't think we're delusional about our powers like Myrddin is.
He doesn't it already was the prevailing theory in the PRT/Protectorate that Alex's creature comes from other dimensions.
Alex doesn't like that theory because he knows it's true but in that case, it was hard to avoid. Eva 01 is wearing man-made armor after all. (And maybe there's some English writing somewhere, not sure.)
I think the issue was it's locked behind Controlled Reproduction right @zagan? If we do roll on it, would it solve those problems Dragon asked or still be tied down by another power?
Yes, it's locked behind controlled reproduction. It wouldn't solve the repairing/modifying other robots though.
To be honest I forgot how Alex's power is affected by power nullification in the story and wanted him to get something that couldn't be affected by them if he was, a real issue with the S9 coming for a visit and still having Hatchetface. On the BS of AT fields, will we get to see Compendium playing with the Siberian anytime soon, with Mantons power being an all or nothing projection landing on the nothing spectrum against the AT field, only minor brute strength is left to defend itself against Alex?
Only the power granted by Solar is affected by power nullification.
You wouldn't believe how much I'm looking forward to writing a scene with Alex against a Power nullified (not sure which one, Hatchetface, or Animos perhaps, Are there others?) and him just completely ignoring them.
