[x] Allactaga tetradactyla

Saw this guy, and knew we had to protect him

[X] Power

I feel positively spoiled with all these new faces, so let's ease up on the creatures and get a power.

Yes, but creatures that have a range of size are mostly mundane animals, and in that case, bigger is often better. In our case the only important part is for those around the limit of the 50cm.
Counterpoint: While bigger often is better, if the Celestial Menagerie is choosing based on what is best, and below 50cm is better for the Celestial Menagerie, wouldn't the Celestial Menagerie choose such? (When such does not sabotage the health of said animal)

Excellent argument, but care much more about having access to the best creature pattern possible. It's just using us as an external hard drive. In addition it doesn't any ability to think about combo in that way.

Two questions:
No one got any info on the Ratchet & Clank Critter?
I've updated the character sheet with all our new acquisitions. Any feedback on the name, the weapon shape, item, or senses? Anything I missed?

It's scattered in the wiki. Not having an easy time with it.
Or perhaps keep in reserve to animate the cloth of the villain?
Funny enough, on the page it says we can't animate things that our worn. Meaning, no clothes can be animated. I guess if we're willing than we can animate a doll and risk a Parian strike.

The rock Slime will make Armsmaster really happy
Rock Slime is blue. It makes blue port which makes Blue Steel, and Armsmaster wears blue armor. Very synergistic.
Vykker is an interesting choice but again not sure what to do with him and particularly how to portrait him.
As another alien, he's possibly as smart as the crab, Brainstorm, if highly specialized, or the Imp-like alien, Fix-it. The wiki says his species doesn't even care for clothes which is possible due to the difficulty of making clothes for their frail build, but it's also a hint that their intellect makes nudity taboo irrelevant. It's all anatomy at the end of the day, and it's not like any of them hide anything: They're all hermaphroditic.

I guess, if you need a specific character to model this guy then Diogenes, ancient Greece's drunk philosopher uncle, and/or a more tone down version of Zeep Xanflorp, the guy that made an opium joke.

come on now, imagine the possibilities...

Okay, I'll stop. If you'd rather have .. (checks notes) Kangaroo Jerboa for it's fragility rather than a Chad Squirrel, that's okay. I'm sure Marvel Comics was exaggerating about Squirrel Girl anyway...

Hey, they are both good choices. Chad squirrel are strong, useful and cute, jerobas are just so freaking adorable that they still can compete with the awesome that is squirrels

Sadly, I must point out that every word of that links to a different squirrel species, so isn't actually a valid vote choice. Sorry!
Did not know that. Edited it to the one that I want.

Animate Car. Good for driving, good for crashing too. Even the Fantastic 4 beat villains by running them over once.
Animate Car plus Machine Spirit equals ???

I don't think that decision is up to us, but no harm in speculating.

I'm thinking Red vs Browbeat. Despite the memes, his true power of skin-level telekinesis and biokensis makes him a tank. He might be able to 1 v 1 the giant Dragon-Bat with no problems. If he doesn't fight Red than Thorne might be a decent fight, but that depends if he can pull an adequate hit and run campaign. Thorn's 1000 needles may or may not get through Browbeats' stone flesh armor.

Next, maybe Buoy vs Vista? With all the spatial warping, most attacks are a no go, so to prevent a clean sweep something more esoteric is required. Buoy sort of has that with strength sap and absorb. The issue than becomes Vista smacking down a frilish like she's a biotic, because physical attacks don't work on frilish.

White, if we have to employ him before any of the new summons get here, will fight Gallant. Mostly to work Gallant's emotion powers to stop a physical threat.

I guess, the challenge is giving Shadowstalker someone adequate. I don't want to have Scalpa do it as that'll be a bad experience for both; Shadowstalker needs a shower, and Scalpa deals with her attitude. Can't be a pure animal either so White and Red can't do it. Zap is technically her weakness( electric for the win), but again, it feels insulting to both. Moreover, I can imagine Zap getting punted, so Sophie neither works for her victory nor does it feel earned. Alyamon could try, but I feel like this could backfire.

To be fair considering 1000 Needles ignores any defense and considering what that did to Hookwolf that spell would be overkill.

A good rule of thumb for a friendly spar is not to use any attack if you aren't absolutely certain it won't kill your sparring partner. It's not entirely clear exactly how 1000 Needles is supposed to interact with different sorts of parahuman durability and other defenses, and will likely vary for different powers. So even if it really seems like it ought to be safe based on how someone's power is believed to work, it's a very dangerous spell to use on anyone the MC doesn't want dead.

Thorne's only other attack is head bash, so

….yeah, fair point. Though, I've just realized Scalpa vs Browbeat fight might turn out well. Browbeat seems to be a surprising easy ward to match to fight.
