Genestealer hybrids that look visibly human are not much more of a threat in a direct fight compared to a baseline human.* They might have a hidden claw or chitin or something, and I wouldn't want to box with one, but largely they rely on weapons from the societies they infiltrate as supposed to the Tyranids' ingrained ones.

*Standard disclaimer about inconsistency of 40k canon, and the differences with quest lore.

It should be noted: the kid is not, as best Praxis can tell, a horrible multi-armed monster.
So you're not using the Primacii from the new Codex?
By the fourth generation, the scions of the Genestealer Cult can pass for fully Human, inveigling themselves into positions of power to further the aims of their sinister cult. Most of these Primacii serve as Neophyte Hybrids.

A few members of this generation possess psychic powers and become a Magus or Genestealer Primus. Other types of Fourth Generation Hybrids include Clamavi, Nexoses, Sancti, and Biophagi.

They are often noticed by their Human overseers as dutiful, hard-working citizens, and as such, often find themselves above suspicion. Many of these hybrids join the Astra Militarum to spread their vile seed across the galaxy, starting new cults and claiming worlds for their four-armed Patriarch.
Reminder that there is a canonical treatment for the Kiss...If you're a PC or otherwise important.
The only record I can find is this blurb on the Scythes Of The Emperor
The psychic control of the Genestealer's Kiss can be resisted by infected Space Marines, as seen with members of the Scythes of the Emperor. However even they wear psychic dampening hoods to keep out the Broodmind's urgings.
So unless you have a citation, that statement is false hope.

Well, unless the way a Gene-stealer organ implanting works has been radically changed by Sketch, there is no cure. So yeah. The mother's dead.

You seem to be under the incorrect assumption that the the issue is whether or not the Marine kills them all.

The issue is a matter of we are out of time and need to leave now. We can't call for a third shuttle, the Marines are barely holding the massive swarm of Purestrains and armed Hybrids back.

Unlikely. To my knowledge there is no such difficulty and newborn hybrids all have an unconscious thralling effect on the parents.
Let's try to get everyone out and sort it all out later. I actually think we might have a chance that pretty much no one else has to save people infected by this. Undoubtedly, Craftworlders have to deal with genestealers like the Imperium does, so I'll assume they've developed treatments for infected Eldar. We could ask Araleth in exchange for helping them.

We're not in hazmat, and neither is Marvel. The marine may be fine.
Do we need one? I was under the impression that the infection is only as infectious as HIV and perhaps less so. The dangerous part is that the infected are actively trying to further the disease and get a cult going, even if unknowingly, and that the resulting cult are collaborators for an extragalactic species of omnicidal space bugs, not the transmission.

K. The least unethical option I can think of now is to just bring everyone on board the Strike Cruiser, infected or uninfected, and prepare an isolated space for them all.

I don't suppose letting the girl go back to the rest of her companions, weld the passageway shut, then letting them have what scant comfort and security they can have for these last few moments together is an option?

AFAIK it's passed to offspring, or you can basically get shanked and have cultists implant a fibrous organ in you. So it's no flu.

Once you're infected you're pretty fucked. In the Cain novels, they're forced to execute two implanted survivors, despite the presence of (relatively) benevolent commissar, commander, and thankful Inquisitor.

Uh... you do know that leads to the infected killing us and destroying the shuttle, right? That's what the characters in the story have said. We have no evidence to dispute that, or am I forgetting something?

They do. It's called "we're a psychic species" and "Not being worthwhile hosts".
The Aeldari have such lengthy gestation cycles that they are simply not viable biological hosts; furthermore, their psychic abilities are so well developed they can often see the shadow of the curse even before it can manifest, and avoid it accordingly.
They don't have a cure. They have execution.
I am, but that's generation 4, and these are recently infected humans. So...
Ah, so only Contagii are involved. Good news everyone:
Contagii, many of whom become Brood Brothers, still physically resemble other members of their species, though they may have a slight blue or mauve pallor to their skin and can be psychically controlled by the Patriarch through the Broodmind to become mindless slaves, making them the perfect infiltrators.
We have an immediate identifying factor. Which I feel sick for pointing out.

I think that with how long they were hiding together, odds are everyone is infected.

Can we risk even the most minuscule chance of them infecting one of serfs on Strike Cruiser?

We could tell them and ask them what they want. They're not mindless slaves yet, they can choose the way they want to die.

[X] Let her back prove that we're safe to her fellows, get them all out, tested and quarantined(infected separate from the uninfected) until the ship is dealt with.

If she's not under direct control yet then lets make sure that they are all tainted before finishing her off.

As it stands, the infected are of no preaent threat to us. As long as they're isolated from uninfected humans, they're harmless.

I think it is time for a dramatic speech. We cannot save their bodies and their lives; but we can soothe their worries and give them a chance to say their prayers. Make their last moments somewhat peacefull. Maybe make the Chapter's ship shoot them with their bigger guns so that they die instantly and painlessly. Either way, we will have to take this L.

Each test takes 15 minutes. We don't have time for this.

[X] Take them all back to the shuttle and sedate them for the trip.
-[X] Scan each of them for genestealer infection, the uninfected, if any exist, are fine. The rest, sterilise, and have them take vows of chastity, so as not to spread the infection further.
-[X] Ask Marvel-Ann about the possibility of willing, living subjects aiding in the creation of a cure for the recently infected.

I would like to point out that this ship, which likely holds the Patriarch capable of controlling them, is about to violently explode. Also I refuse to vote to murder innocents whose only crime is simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It goes against both I believe in, and what Joanyn herself believes.

If it comes to it, we could leave them in the care of the Gate Wardens. They are good people, who would, I think, be able to give these poor souls a place and purpose for their remaining lifespans.

[X] Evacuate and quarantine everyone, then sort the uninfected from the infected. Keep the infected quarantined. Inform them all of the infection and give them at least the agency to choose their fates.

Wait, did we test the baby or the mother. If the latter, we could pretend to clear her and say we want to check the baby too just to be sure.

I could see that happening, the kind of story where we have to kill the rest but save the child, who might even go to be one of those Space Marines. Or maybe the kids infected too and we can't save any of them.

Anyway, this pretty clearly seems like a situation of tempted over-reach, where we're given the rope to hang ourselves with. Because it's not just our lives on the line, we're asking a great many Space Marines to die to buy time for what are most likely going to be a mostly infected group.

[X] Pretend that she's in the clear, then check the baby saying you need to be doubly sure. If the baby's infected too, call it there: send them back as proof of your good intentions, then toss grenades and bar the door. If the baby's not infected, take him/her away and then do the same as above.

Because this really feels like the kind of situation that where we're overextending ourselves. I'm not willing to sacrifice good marines for people we'll probably have to kill anyway. If we can save the baby, good, if not, sucks.

Oh god, Tzzentch is pulling a SCP-3125 and is trying to tempt us with victory from the universe on a lower narrative level. :V
But, if we were to talk seriously, I am not opposed to current direction of votes, but I do hope that you are ready to roll like a SBURB Light player, cause we will need all of the nat 10s we can get if we are going to pull this off.

Honestly if we're going to condemn a bunch of people to death, can we at least get any children in there out? They are almost certainly uninfected and also pose literally zero threat.

I can get behind this compromise vote. This is the situation as clear-cut and close to "traditional" 40k as we've been in so far, and not letting ignorant sympathy kill us all is always a good thing. We are saving who we can. But we can't save everyone.

We do not have time for an additional test.

"We're supposed to be gone in ten minutes, Magos. I don't know if we can spare the time. The longer we wait, the more dangerous this gets." Brother Demirel pointed out.
We're 5 minutes overdue. An additional test will stretch that to 20.
That's a fourfold increase, and it could easily result in significant casualties among the marine holding the shuttle, or result in us being cut off.

[X] Tell them the Truth, and offer a choice. They can seek solace with their companions and die with the ship, or come and be sedated, and be offered a test of their own (though the odds of them not being infected are slim) on board the ship, after which they'll be offered the Emperor's mercy.
