Too many people want Copper more than safety for some reason, despite the confirmation that the need isn't critical yet as long as we get it next turn.
Hey, I'd personally want Plan: Stabilizing Bases and Copper where it gives us all 3 of what most of us want. It's just for some reason people care more about getting Civilian Industry setup than protecting it and what we have.

Like, I don't think it's malicious, but HeroCooky absolutely knew that people would tunnel-vision on the Daemon as soon as that was the main and primary thing happening in the turn update in terms of written content.

I'm actually fine with that plan, but nobody was biting, so I'm not going to switch.

If you can convince Alectai and their lot to switch to the compromise plan, I'm willing to do the same, but until that happens I'd just be letting the plan I don't like win, lol. :V

I mean, "I just advertised a threat that just moved in that can very much leverage tiny effects into massive influence, and then just giggled at three vectors where it can directly fuck with us, specifically, and this is only the start".

Ignoring that seems... Not great, and I'm not even referring to how we have no ability to investigate the Soul Grinder either because it's ridiculous that it's still here despite being smashed to hell.

At least giving our industry some hardening will prevent one gear from breaking and causing the entire system to melt down or start producing corrupting material, and at least keeping tabs on what's going on in the imperial world will give us a heads up if it's about to explode into daemons, and hopefully the Psykana Experiments being chilled out will help us identify the soul grinder problem--or barring that, at least prevent the risk we took from being turned against us by an asshole demigod.

Incidentally if you're wondering why I did Civilian Industry, it's because we might well need something to trade, every single up-Infrastructure except the one time the QM FORGOT ONE OF THE VOTES I'M MOST PROUD OF[1] has had narratively huge impacts, and because having it set up then allows us to take the Industrial protection next turn along with the Re Seeding[2], and then probably Droma preaching.

But like it should be noted that we've already preached to Droma AND as much as sometimes people sit on their hands for reasons I can't understand, they'll presumably be doing at least a little bit of spreading of the faith on their own, even if it's not on the level of a civilizational campaign.[3]

[1] Am I still actually incredibly salty? yes, absolutely. I made a big deal of how cool it was (because it was) and the QM literally just entirely forgot the thing that WON THE VOTE.
[2] Creating Space Marines that will be ready in time to fight the Orks.
[3] If people aren't even able to convert other people on their own without the government formally doing it, I'm honestly going to just throw hands.

It's almost frustrating how easily the QM can just make people think we're all about to die by having a Lord of Change explicitly only able to do very minor things that have an outsized impact but aren't actually, "We're even close to doomed."
no one is saying we are all gonna die if we don't do damage control this turn, I and others just want to be proactive in dealing with our major std when part of our immune system has gone dark(starchild)

I am voting for that plan

You're not wrong, and I wish to hell I could take it.

But that was before "You took a risk and now a demigod has moved in and has free reign to take arbitrary action to fuck you up" became a thing.

I'm not even saying you're completely wrong! And I wish to hell we could actually advance our infrastructure, it's just the mountain of shit keeps getting more piled on, and now a poopsmith has taken up a position in the clouds to tactically dump more dung on our heads when it would mess us up the most. I'm frustrated at how the Action Economy continues to lash out at us above all else :(

But fine, I'll approval vote for the compromise.

[X] Plan: Damage Control
[X] Plan: Stabilizing Bases and Copper

[X] Plan: Basic Services
-[X] [General] Instruct SM-001-A To Investigate The High-Energy Desert
-[X] [General] Construct Something
--[X] Civilian Infrastructure
-[X] [Psykana] Soothe and Commune with the Psykana Experiments

[X] Plan: Stabilizing Bases and Copper

Saving it to next turn sounds like a really good way for it to get to something even more critical than a slight vulnerability. Like, saving it to the last moment strikes me as really silly, to say the least.

Like, getting the basic materials of industry will help with fighting the Orks too, lol. In fact more than going all-in on spiritual defenses when Orks when they do arrive are going to be a PHYSICAL threat as well.
I'm fine getting it next turn. I am not fine with waiting for for next turn to perform emergency measures that need to be taken NOW. Like the fact that we don't have a screen to protect us against Warp duckery anymore.
The big thing is that Orks are coming, and we're holding off on critical industry because we're letting ourselves get spooked.
In 7 to 9 turns. We'll have good defenses against material threats in 6. Chaos is F-ing with us now.
[X] Plan: Stabilizing Bases and Copper
I don't care about civilians yet but I am fine with this as a compromise.

Welp, at least our home base is further protected.

Now that means we definitely have no excuses to put off the High energy desert next turn.

And by next turn the Lamenters will be at 1/2, so either we can use an AP to finish them next turn, or just wait out the next two turns for them to finish. Given the incoming Orks, those Lamenters would be a huge help.

For the last action, I'm thinking we either do some infrastructure, or do a Melody, either "Song", "Compassion", or "Fire".

next turn def the high energy desert, preaching to our alien friends to bring them into the fold and either a meldoy of protection or a infrastrture? imo either sounds good think the salamnders got it since there gonna be finished before the coming storm either way

I forgot are we safe or not here?
66, 77, 88, and 99 are the bad numbers. 55 is the good number. You can reduce the harm if a bad number if you roll a 5/10/15/20/etc on the negation roll.

I DID NOT FORGET!
I am just trying to work it into the culture and people shown, but just haven't had an update to do so yet! It's effects are in this one! I promise! Just give me 30 minutes!
"You took a risk and now a demigod has moved in and has free reign to take arbitrary action to fuck you up"
You just did the two most important Faith Actions you could in response! Please wait for the update!

I didn't mean you'd always forget, but when someone asked about the Food vote turn you admitted you'd forgotten to write the outcomes of that, which is fine in a way. Like, these things absolutely happen, QMing is hard. But I'm allowed to be (slightly) salty about that. :V

Keep in mind, these will just be neophytes, the little baby space marines. I think we should go for them next turn since they will be a huge boon.

Hah! I knew he was going to make a play in the Imperial planet then!

Or was that the Psykana bit you were referring to?

EDIT: Ah, you said FAITH actions.

Phew, I knew we needed to close that attack surface. Good to know that we seem to have bought ourselves some room to maneuver.

it might be both? very happy though we did the actions that would help with it the most the only glaring area of weakness I could see it majorly fucking with us now with big consuqeus is our alien friends who are without starchild protection

he might pivot to them, but reasonably speaking, the Kildrabi aren't Critically Weak to Chaos like Humans are, or else they'd just be Chaos sockpuppets already. Presumably, they're Just Not Interesting Enough, or their system is solid enough that they can't find any good attack surfaces to exploit.

It does look though that DamCon successfully predicted his moves and countered them however, which eases my mind, and gives us room to catch up on other things without needing to further invest more than one action a turn on checking his moves.

true but the action been sitting around for a while and I would like to bring them into the fold anyway/get them that protection. Plus more worhsipers for the starchild might help get it back into action sooner

It's on the list, but right now, we do need copper, and we should get civilian infrastructure online, it's a travesty it's taken so long already. Our third action can be used for flex, which if there's no critical incidents, we can use on the Kil'drabi.

Would Medical Services let us get the full package deal then? Those would probably allow for Chyron to add the other organs and bits into the Neophytes.

Remember friends

In a 40k quest, there are no Bad turns, so long as you've kicked Chaos in the balls using at least one of your actions.

Everything else that happens then? A hivequake killing millions? Tyranids arriving in your system? Half the PDF launching a rebellion backed by half the nobility?

Doesn't matter

So long as Chaos got screwed over at least once, you can say it's a Good Turn.
