Also, should we assume that Chaos will kick off the corrupted astropaths plot in 60 or 66 years due to 9 being Tzeentch's holy number?

Given the astropath's popped as soon as our guys opened the capsule's, pretty sure its might already be happening. Whatever the scheme, It might be happening Right now. Its possible that tzeenchian agents were meant to receive this shipment and do something to stop this outcome, Letting them delay the Chaos spawnification, But its never safe to assume that the plot is going to happen in line with the scared number from now, because we never know when it started.

Guys I think the Chaos Incursion that Neon is dealing with is backed by the Alpha Legion. Yknow, the guys we chased off like 2 centuries ago? IIRC, the head of Neon refered to the Chaos Cultists as snakes or serpents or somesuch as well.

-[X] [Faith] Monuments for Martyrs, Graves for the Forgotten

To reiterate the logic behind this plan, the idea here is "Dig in, keep Task Fleet Alpha ready for QRF, and get ready for a new tranche of ships by getting our lowest hanging fruit sorted, the Imperial Ship Study. Medical Services gets pushed back out of the hole back into the "We're just about managing" category, and for fuck's sake I hope we start getting some benefits for being the good guys soon because it really feels like we're never getting ahead of our obligations when integrating a tiny number of planets noticeably degrades our QoL across the entire Federation.

Finally, Monuments has been delayed again and again and again. We just finished a major operation, and we're seeing signs that people aren't coping well with taking actual losses. This should give them some outlet on that and I really hope it's disarming a possible bomb.

That being said, we'll be due for a new draft on the Crux and Taurus after this. I think we'll need the upgraded Shipbuilding project done before we can do a Super Sagitarrius to my satisfaction given our doctrine penalty. Broadly, it'll be a very fast, very nimble, very accurate lance ship that uses light turrets and pure lenses to probe for weaknesses, and then uses that high speed and velocity to launch painful lance strikes with the prow lance.

Be nice if we could use standard laser weapons instead of lances, that's what would be the ideal pair with this given their exceptional range for macroweapons, but apparently we don't get laser weapons here yet, nyoro~nnnnn.

The dream next turn is to do design the Super Taurus and recoup our losses from the campaign, then the turn afterwards will be to update our infantry and mechanized tech, which will also pave the way to getting us to the point where I'm confident we could do a satisfactory Super Sagittarius. All else being said though, we're in no position to push an assault anytime soon--or even colonize much. We need 1 Choir per location we plan to take, and we've only got one left (Which will probably need to go on another Andromeda to bring our Mobile Force to 30 ships)

the 3rd plan is a funny that got stuck in my head, anyone think ion shields, better weapons and armor. augmentations and karnivore improvements would help? . . . wait they where going for an exterminatus, ground force upgrades won't help . . . lmao

Hmm, Yah I really do want the monuments faith action. Death Practices are an inherently important part of cultures, Doubly so for "honourable" deaths. It helps reinforce Cultural norms and tamp down on unrest caused from large losses.
On the other hand, I really really want that infantry research ugh.

[X] Plan: We bit, now we hold

I want Infantry research before we start the offensive again, With the signs pointing towards tzeench pulling something fucky to plunge neon under, Our infantry will need bigger guns and better armour for the Deamons, CSM and Augmented cultists that are sure to pop up, Let alone anything nastier. Preferably Automechanical Augmentations Or the karnivore upgrades as well, But Infantry for certain.

The Faith militant action interest me, Because they are our own path towards Nuns with guns who are so religious they bend the universe around them, and I Genuinely do love the aesthetics of the Bolter Bitches, But I want it after a Infantry research action so we can set up elite units/orders with appropriate levels of gear.

We should ensure that said faith militants aren't going to do dumbass shit, I can bear them being a well regulated militia or volunteers who provide logistical aid at war zones or in poor areas and such…

to be fair, Part of the faith militant action is setting up Orders/Organizations to give the fanatics an outlet, Instead of leaving them to do something stupid. by setting up the Order/Organization in an already crystalized matter, it gives us a place to funnel these kind of people effectively and constructively, who would cause us trouble, and its better then letting them organize themselves. That how you get the early religious days of the imperium and Goge vandire.

Essentially, regulate and Channel their faith productively, instead of leaving these kind of Zealots no outlet and trusting them not to start self-organizing and doing stupid stuff on their own.

It is undeniable that many marching within our military are those most dedicated to spreading the light of the Star Child. Yet, questions have arisen from those seeking to contribute to the liberation of the galaxy, who either failed to enter the military by being too dedicated to the mission and failing to see the objectives that need to be taken or by failing some other criteria. Some of those questions are if it would not be beneficial if some manner of Faith Militant organization or organizations could be created, or allowed to be created, with others asking for a formal creation of Faith Orders to bolster the ranks of the soldiery with those utterly dedicated to the mission, lending strength, surety, and a bulwark against the horrors of the galaxy to all within.
(Gain: Nail down the Faith Militant aspects of the Cult of the Star Child.)

Honestly, in addition to any Faith Militant of the sort people are writing in here, I honestly think we should more throughly clarify the less shooty forms of Faith Militant as well...

Do you want to die Rich? - [Canon]
[X] Plan: We bit, now we hold
The Martyrs plan seems suitable for this.

Sargent Micadell pressed a hand to his helmet, pushing the earbud further into his ear. He couldn't hear the driver's words over the thudding of the stubber turret overhead, not to mention the crack of dozens of lasguns pelting the APC.

"... ready. Resistance redoubt ahead. Doors in 15. Star Child guide you."

He nodded sharply and spoke into comm. "Duty to the five." Then he turned to the rest of the troopers inside the personnel bay and spoke over the cacophony. "You wanna die rich?"

"No ser!" yelled the dozen troopers who shared the space, pulling goggle-like masks over faces streaked with grime from the heavy fighting over the last days.

"Then live for duty!" He responded formulaically, and the hatches on the sides of the APC clanged down. The troopers dashed out, seeking cover among the ramshackle buildings of the farming village. One side of the APC was exposed to enemy fire, and grunts were heard as expertly aimed lasguns found their mark.

"Medic!" came the cry over the coms as half of the squad hit their bellies, shuffling for what cover their was.

Micadell surveyed the situation in a flash. "Covering fire, don't conserve ammo. Ridgers, get over there. Team two, flank and breach!" He put actions to words, charging into a nearby alley with the half-dozen soldiers of team two while the APC and team one held the insurgent attention.

They rounded a corner and saw the side of their target building ahead, the rockcrete walls of the bombed-out general store still providing enough cover and elevation to allow the Imperials inside cover. A single white-haired man was watching this approach, and Micadell saw the veteran's eyes narrow as the Numidian soldiers rounded the corner. The old man opened his mouth to yell and dropped his hand to grab the single grenade at his belt, but a trio of hellgun shots bracketed him, one burning through his throat while another bore through the armor over his shoulder.

Smarter than orcs, to be watching the flanks. But they die easier.

The next few minutes were a mess, as the Neumidian team tore into the Imperial flank and relieved the rest of the squad.

When it was done, Micadell lifted off his mask and daubed at the blood on his chin.

He looked down at the last guardsman, who'd been trying to finish building a homemade bomb in the basement from fertilizer and promethium.

In contrast to the rest of the resistance, he was young, just over twenty, though his body was wiry and gaunt from hard work with too few rations.

"What a waste. You're fighting for nothing. You are nothing, to your own masters. If you thought you were worth anything, you'd join us."

Another figure came into the room, and Micadell sighed and faced his second, Lahza. "How are we?"

Thr heavyset woman took off her own mask, grimacing. "Stidug is dead. Bayonet through the mouth. Lask needs new gear, the imps were using him as target practice, but the armor held, thank the five. Kariah's blind, a lasgun glanced across her face. Everything else is flashburns that Ridgers has patched up."

"We got medevac?"

The woman shrugged. "This is happening all over the planet. Tanks need support east. Kids with detpacks in the trees."

Micadell nodded, walking out of the room and speaking into the comm. "Get everybody in the APC. Leave a charge on the lasguns and grenades."

A response cam back in from Ridgers. "Boss, we can't keep this up. We need rest. I'm almost out of burnseal."

Micadell and Lahza emerged from the basement together, surveying the pockmarked road.

Micadell clapped his second on the shoulder and spoke to gis squad. "Have faith in our superiors, and in the Star Child. Trust that they won't throw us away. We live for duty, and if we must die for it, than believe that our sacrifice will tip the battle and will be remembered."

Lahza's lips curled. "Unlike these noble-owned fools. They die for nothing."

Micadell nodded. "Mount up! We were blessed by the Star Child long ago! Now it is our duty to spread that blessing to the enslaved! Do you want to die rich?"

"Live for duty!" His squad responded as they piled back into the APC, ready to head off to the next fight.

The Crux I think can wait a bit, it does its job decent enough.

The Sagittarius though, I'm thinking double prow lances with either a light or medium lance turret. Just focus on that bit of being a small sniping ship.

[X] Plan: Recoup Losses and Prepare

one of our best assets is that we can pump out ships faster than the Imperium and we should be leveraging that, especially since we know they'll be putting their actions into building up their forces.

Honestly, I would love for at least one of our Faith militants to be our own take on hospitalier's, who operate not only as field medics, theater Doctors but also Xeno biologists, refugee Aid, Medical service for the unfortunate.

all of those I listed is something that The Imperium's hospitaliers do, Not to mention their kickass power armour, Of all the imperial organizations, I can say they on average do more good then bad. (Not that they aren't Xenophobic, Uber Zealots Crusaders who would kill every yeeni without a second thought)

Not to mention, Hospitaliers also happen to be experts in torture.

Tbh, The same way Poison and medicine is merely a matter of amount, So can treatment and torture be. With their advanced Tools and Drugs combined with their medical knowledge? The Torture expertise can almost be considered a byproduct, even if it does see a lot of use by the imperial personnel.

unlike a Doctor, a hospitallier is perfectly willing to do such. In space, their is no hippocratic oath.
