At work so I'll look for the invus text later…but that's still hilarious I picked up some form of chaos fuckery, just not the one expected…fucking indecisive mollusk feather-brain.

say, they skim the warp, not dive in fully right?

Which is probably why they only have auditory hallucinations, and fairly minor issues right now.

if I had to guess, The closest thing I can compare it to would be taking a Bullet train bare naked through a radiation zone without any shielding, Since they are entering the radiation for a such a short period of time, and if they are skimming aren't even fully submerging in it, They MIGHT not suffer "Eaten by a deamon" disease But prolonged exposure could still cause corruption or mutation or latent psykers to do the daemon thing without a geller field. and that's not even accounting for the chance that someone has done something to their drive, or has their eyes on them for shits and giggles.
If their skimming, the Short duration itself is probably also saving them from being straight up eaten, dipping their toes into hell and out, Instead of a full dive, like Dipping your wet hand in molten lead.

Of course, its still dangerous for the ship and their whole species, because unlike radiation or molten lead, The warp can have something waiting for you to dip your toes and has set a trap, Waiting to ride you back to real space to do some nasty shit, Brainwash you, or even pull you in.

EDIT: Do we know who the archangels they are talking about are? It doesn't feel like the imperium to me, Who would just have wiped them out fullstop.... Unless it was the mechanicus? Don't know WHY the mechanicus would keep a species around, just hitting the reset button on their progress, commiting a genocidal cull every few hundred years.

It would depend on how many ships the Imperium is committing. If the Imperium planned to eventually colonize the planet they would need to go to the surface to personally shoot the survivors of the bombardment. I suspect the intention was to keep the Yeeni down long enough to finish what they started so they could colonize.

Ok, first of all, I fucking adore the Thule-N Sister-Siblings, real Signalis Replika vibes (RIP Thule-469, we hardly knew ye)
Second, these poor little babies need somebody to teach them before they get themselves killed

It's clear that the Imperium was relatively early-ish in the process, seeing as both the Kil'drabi and now this species are alive and not, y'now, either genocided or inventing new words for War [Economic System] to describe their society's new burning self-defense/war of extinction mindset.

Thankfully for these poor chaps, Relatively early in imperium time can be measured in multiple millenia, depending on how many administratum scribes, Red tape, Inconsistent travel, Political strife etc the memo had to travel through, and what a Administratum bureaucrat had for lunch that day.

If "Day of the archangel" Refers to the First cleanse, and not the Last cleanse (Can't discount it), Then its only been 1000 years since the imperium discovered them, and started suppressing them in preparation for extermination/colonization. All things considered, That's Slow, But not out of the question for the imperium with all the bureaucratic abuse, travel problems and Crisis's that they have to put out on a daily basis

I agree with the folks speculating that what we have on our hands is a mis-tuned skimdrive made by people who don't know why that's a bad thing (though, if this ship successfully made it over to the other side they might be about to learn why that's a bad thing on their own)
In any case, I do imagine our arrival will distract them from any interstellar expeditions for a good while, no matter how successful we are in communicating with them.
But let's be sure to do this right.

[] Plan: We come in peace, please don't summon demons.
-[] "Greetings. We come in peace. We have recently discovered that you have breached the barriers between Reality and the Warp. Firstly we must congratulate you, creating a warp drive is no small feat and is a credit to your civilisation. Unfortunately there is much danger regarding the Warp that you do not yet know. The parallel dimension that you are attempting to traverse is inimical to life and is plagued by beings that are actively hostile to every known species in the galaxy. Your exploration vessel was sadly lost to the madness that is ever present in that realm and came upon our territories. Through this we came to learn of your attempt to travel the Immaterium without a suitable means of protection, and thus we must warn you. Cease. You are only drawing more attention towards yourself and are actively increasing the chances of warp contamination to your species and culture. We are willing to remain in contact for any questions you may have."
-[] Send pictures and videos of the exploration ship that we found.

Of course that gets noticed, but the invisi-text last time was competely overlooked. Numerologists, the lot of ya. :V

Oh I saw that Invisitext, I just didn't think to mention it...which in hindsight is odd that I didn't think to mention the 'voices of doubts' presented there. I think I rationalized it as an in-character representation of the Thread's long debate/diacussion over the accuracy of the Vision we were given, like what was mentioned in the post after the big debate over the ship design vote that ended with the Taurus being created.

Huh......

They just want to be our friends, and wanted to contact us.....and then they felt bad for scaring our dudes away with the probe.........

Now I feel bad too :( We must integrate and protect these alien Yeen peoples!

minor chaos corruption has to go though, and explaining that to them is going to be a long pain in the ass...not to mention diplomancing them and punching chaos cults in the throat. its going to take *allot* for them to considered kin like our bro's in their BB's.

I'm willing to spend even +20 turns on these guys. The captain of their ship is named Starshine, STARSHINE!!!! These guys are a treasure.

So is there invisible text? I didn't think there was since the SV "Do you want invisible text highlighted or not?" thing wasn't there but people keep mentioning seeing it though that could be them joking.

I see no evidence of "minor chaos corruption"? Like, I guess there's the whole plague thing, but those do just happen sometimes so......

A new era begins, heralded by the Star Child's vision of the truth behind the past shown to their gathered faithful.
Even if some whisper about the forceful nature of it...and how wrong some parts felt.
This is an era in which the Outsiders shall be categorized as five parts of the whole, each different and requiring a keen hand and mind to find those who belong and those who don't within them, be it by misclassification or past atrocities committed and hostilities extended once more.
But by whom? Why were ours not shown?
One where a new class of ship wrought in holy visions would ply the stars and deliver the mercy of the Star Child to those ailing and those wicked!
Was it the Star Child which spoke to us...or the Emperor-and-Omnissiah?
And one where lowly challenges shall not bow us, for we have the truth behind us and the future before us. Us all, for the Kil'drabi can no longer be called a Protectorate for all that they have done.
There were contradictions. Parts didn't match. Holes in the story told.
They shall be Kin. Evermore. Blood has weight, and they spilled theirs for ours without prompting, willing to fight and die because it was the right thing to do.
Was it the truth? Or the one told to our Divine?
Thus it is written. Thus it shall be.

The ones here
