Alas, you probably are right. If the Lances are autohit and do more damage then we'd need them to be a truly reliable screen. Not sure what a double Chainbreaker would really be best against, maybe against hordes of small and fragile yet somehow slow-ish ships? The memedream will have to stay buried for now.

I mean, if you look at the Sword-class, it has two double barreled light macro turrets, so slapping two chainbreakers on this would effectively be making it so we have a ship with 150% of the DPS of the Imperium's mainline Escort Frigate, albeit much more fragile though a lot more faster.

Double Chainbreaker dakka sounds super fun, and I would love to see if we can ever revisit the idea in the future with either a Brawler escort or brawler lineship (like if we ever roll nat 100 again or what have you) , Because That sounds like SO much damage output.
At the same time, I say revisit, because this right here? This is solid as hell and probably has my vote when its voting time.

Double chainbreaker makes it a better sword, and the sword is the mainline imperium escart ship, Unfortunately we don't have the same weight of metal, Fleshed out specialty ships or doctrine as the imperium, So having the lance to let the escort poke during carrier operation is important. we don't have enough ships to actually niche ships so heavily yet.

Come to think of it, does the Secundus design need the Chainbreaker? I mean, the Lover's Dance already has double the volume of fire of a normal lance, and if the idea of the design is to cut apart anything that breaks through the main battleline, then we'd want precision and reliable punch more than raw volume of fire. And with two double lances they'd probably already be outputting a chunky amount of firepower, right?

1) I'm not sure I'd call it the Libra, we already have our carrier called that so it might get a bit confusing

2) Not sure about Enhanced Supply Generation b/c right now it isn't really the problem and it's unlikely to go out on patrols without other ships

Added a second design, this one focused on upgrading the Lupus and making it all blinged out b/c why not take this ship and just slap on as much faith stuff as we can?

Alright, added in Advanced Alloying. This thing may be smol and fragile, but the ship itself will survive, and if the crew happens to die, then they should be counted as honored martyrs for manning such a blessed vessel.
