I mean... unless your throwing us into combat in the next few turns/next few days IRL then you could just skip this and let Alectai come back to it once they have recovered. The Lamenter's ships are separated from the regular navy. You could bookkeep it like:
X number of Battleship 1
Y number of Battleship 2
Z number of Grand Cruiser 1
etcetera and replace the placeholders with Alectai's ships.

The Eclipse Class aims to stealthily scout systems or to insert Space Marine Striketeams without being seen. It achieves it at the cost of missing weaponry, if this ship gets detected and cannot flee, the best it can do is to ram the enemy and board it.

This would be my first attempt at creating a ship. I would like some feedback if the ship I have created is legal before trying to design ships to fulfill the other roles. I think I missed the mistresses of the void discount since it isn't in the informational yet, but I can be mistaken.

The first design from a recently created team, the Parrying-Gadius is a front-line combatant designed to break-up enemy formations with constant, punishing fire from a massive array of macro-cannons optimised for short-to-mid range void combat, supplemented by a robust anti-voidcraft defense network, allowing it to screen longer-ranged allied vessels. In addition to it's substantial arsenal, the Parrying Gladius carries a Large Teleportarium, allowing the harshly-trained Lamenter Crew to perform rapid boarding actions, disrupting enemy crew.

Work has begun, Posting this now so other people can contribute to the four required ships we dont have yet. We have 70DP of extra ships we can add, that i am leaving empty for now so that no one feels like they didnt get a chance to contribute.

Edit:I might Cut High Star Invader, While its a really fun concept, The battleship is supposed to be the core of the fleet, and that 1dp discount is insane.

Edit 2:yeah, sorry Never, but i am either going to need to completly redesign the High Star, or throw it out for now. If i have time later, i'll make a attempt, but i want to get the required ships done before herocooky Closes the vote

Guys. Look at the Lamenters existing designs. Follow and update those designs if you are having trouble.

Also. A battleship scale ship without any weapon other than boarding?

They are Space Marines but most of their ships still have some *other weapons*. Use the existing designs as guides folks.

Pretty sure that those two are the Lamenters' active ship standards abilities
 
the only other ship its listed on is the Latern Bearer, And that Only Has brace for impact. I am honestly of the opinion that we should just let it stick around, because we cant Make a ship like that with my understanding of the rules.

I have the feeling i am the only one working on these ships, so i'm just going to go crazy with these last 3 designs. we have a ramming heavy Cruiser for the lamenters. so they will get a battleship Fit to be called a Battle Barge.

Edit: This is Me making a call, if you have designs that fufill a niche the lamenter fleet does not have yet! please put them in the thread! we have 70DP! thats enough to design a second battleship and spare change!

@HeroCooky I am not done, but Well, I am not Alectai, and dont have infinite endurance. give me like a hour to rest then i'll get the last two required ships done, in that time, people should have the 70 DP figured out?

Edit: having looked it over, i dont think its possible to match the thunderous Gunnery or Bloody Midnight Cruisers, even without improved equipment, they just seem... better. So that opens a light cruiser slot, and a heavy cruiser slot. Thinking about doing a heavy cruiser Strike Craft Carrier. and a Lance boat light cruiser.

An exploration fleet of New Dawn has stumbled upon an ocean world in a system between the major Warp Lanes. Normally, it would be flagged foe colonization, however when the fleet drew closer to confirm some strange readings, the entire planet seemingly tried to shoot at the fleet via incredibly primitive weaponry. The problem is that, as the Choir with the fleet confirmed, there is only one soul on the entire planet, not enough to coordinate the attempted attack, even with the use of machinery (which would have been noticed). Look, we all know it was both the Lamenters (cured) Bad Luck Curse and IRL Nurgle Fuckery that laid Alectai down just when you lot got to designing their new fleet, so I am making this a narrative thing. Try and stop me! :V
