Look. We have a symphony that makes our research outcomes better. Do we want that on or off when we research those technologies?

We can have it on - if we wait just until the warp calms slightly. I would prefer to have a guarantee of symphony-boosted versions of sigils instead of the off-chance that sigils boost this turn somehow (how?)

Keep in mind perfect is the enemy of the good here. Sure, it might not be optimal from an action economy standpoint, but our big thing is our choirs, and staves explicitly empowers them, and sigils boosts our faith aspects. I would imagine they'll boost our symphonies at least a little

[] Plan: The Final Preperatory Steps
-[] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Write-In Sub-Sector)
-[] Food production XIII (Not using the 50% discount!)
-[] Military Industry XI
-[] Military Industry XII (Devouring Mechadendrite)
-[] Flex

And then we wait for the Warp to calm it's tits. When it does, we flip on Cry for the Future, do the 17-action research & Psykana turn, then grab all-XV immediately afterwards.

In the meantime, while we wait for the warp to get to Calm, we can do colonization and diplomacy. Sounds good?
Yeah, that looks good to me. If you plan to do Colonization next turn make sure to note to flip ISCs.

To be explicitly fair — and I don't really care for doing Research all that much at the moment (and people can… just make their own plans) Psytech has limited ability to be boosted by Grand Design. It *can* be boosted, but it's mostly under the hood.
Under the hood stuff. There is only so much stuff in Psytech that can be changed via Psychic-Fuckery before it starts fucking you back.
I figure this'll be the same for Blanks and anti-Psykanics too.

Ultimately though, I just want people to fucking stay on target lol. It's a little difficult because the Warp isn't being cooperative (ha ha…) but priority remains All-XV for me at least. Everything else falls beneath that for me.

On the third hand, if people want to play chicken with whoever's been fucking with the Warp, flip on Cry, Lament, and if we want to be spicy my crash out Symphony (or Grand Design), jump up to High, and then do a big rush turn, and pray either Lament brings things down or there's a [Sharp Decrease] lol

But that's not a good idea.

[X] Plan: The Final Preperatory Steps
-[X] [Free] Flip ISC to Green Horizons Colonization LTD
-[X] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Hessen)
-[X] Food production XIII (Not using the 50% discount!)
-[X] Military Industry XI
-[X] Military Industry XII (Devouring Mechadendrite)
-[X] [General] Research: (1 action yields 2.5 actions, 0.75 banked, so 3 actions and 0.25 banked actions remain)
--[X] Sigils (0/1)
--[X] Arcanum Psyker Staves (4/5)
--[X] Psykana-Repelling Persons (1/2)

Fair enough, I'm convinced that the Grand Design won't do as much for psykana topics. Maybe we'll do the next level of Juvenat instead - that got mega-boosted last time.

Actually…

People may hate me for adding this in on the last moment, but you may want to consider switching Psyker Staves for Psykana-Repelling Persons, as we have 0.75 Research banked, and with 1.5 additional progress per AP we can snap up a 2 AP project

We've already iterated upon Psyker Staves before, so while more efficiency and power is nice, it's not a new paradigm that being able to produce(?) Blanks would be

Especially as having our choirs deal with psychic-hostile beings would be valuable due to the eventual Tyranid issue, and also having anti-Psykana stuff May and I emphasize *may* help with calming the Warp down

Otherwise looks good to me.

Hang on a second, you make a good point. @Neablis We have 0.75 research banked, and we're getting 1.5 bonus research per action. That means we're getting two bonus research actions, not one like we're used to. So you might want to spend that somewhere this turn.

I'm curious. I know we can't do anything about it but what's the last seal's unlock requirements?

As a reminder the following are the four other Starchild factions noted by the Starchild:

1. The blazing Pathfinding Fleet
2. The war-smithing Calculated Consecration
3. The hidden Benevolencia Cults
4. The marching Chainbreaker Tyrants

They are almost certainly the ones that broke the remaining seals save for the last one which only the death of the Emperor can break.

They will likely only be encountered in the epilogue. But we can certainly extrapolate what they are based on the names and the word attached to them.

i.e. the Pathfinding Fleet is likely a nomadic fleet based society much like the Kildrabi that dares to explore the unknown, while the Benevolencia Cults likely went full subversion faction.

There are five seals and we broke ours really early. I've be under the assumption that each seal corresponded to a Star-Child faction.

Good points. I still want to get staves, so I just did 1/2 on the blanks. There's a good chance we get them when we do the big research turn.
