[] [Frigate] Sagitarrius-Tertium (Sagitarrius-T) Lance Frigate
-[] Length
- 2.000 Meters
-[] Width - 550 Meters
-[] Acceleration - 8 Gravities
-[] Armor - Medium Double Hull (-1 DP)
-[] Shields - Two Arrays
-[] Weapons - 3x Light Prow Lance (-3 DP)

A project that's been on the backburner for some time, but given new life by the Shieldbreaker Initiative. The Sagitarrius-T is a revolutionary advancement on what was already a respectable long range artillery frigate. While it's armament could only be made a little stronger, advancements in Lance miniaturization and power flow have allowed for some modest improvements in form-factor and overall hull space taken up by the Trident Array that allowed for its revolutionary degree of forward firepower. Rather than try to squeeze an additional weapon in and risk regaining the same problems the previous iteration held, the Sagitarrius-T instead takes advantage of the additional space to further optimize its already tremendous manoeuvrability, by the incorporation of well balanced thruster-arrays permitting tremendous ability to turn on the go, as well as the updated engine blocks that permit acceleration profiles once only though possible to Destroyers.

Between its rapidly recovering shields, fantastic range, and the skills of its crew and officers, the Sagitarrius-T will undoubtedly serve well in the days to come.

We had two points left, and I just realized that holy shit we can massively improve the Sagitarrius with our new doctrine. So I did it. Nothing like shoot and scoot that's too tough to damage with anything that can hit it, too fast to catch, while crewed and commanded by some of the top officers and ratings in the Navy.

It already has the most powerful armament a Frigate can feasibly mount with its triple prow lance setup, and I don't believe it's possible to give it new guns without creating new problems. Meanwhile, we get Tuned Shields, Veteran Crews, Enhanced Strategeium, and upgrade the rapid stop engines to the more easily used Manueverability ones, and have enough DP to spare uparmoring it a bit more too.

The Sagi-T is going to cause no small number of cussing in the halls of our enemies, no doubt. A spammable, aimbotting artillery boat that has speed and agility you once only reserved for Space Elfs.

Oh yeah, I dropped my own submission to the empty spot, but tell me, how does our Doctrine influence the Sagi-S's mad science design aside from just "Save 2 DP per lance?"

Which, honestly, might be benefit enough as it is given how it's already able to strike at hilarious ranges. Vet Crew + Enhanced Strategium + the DP 4 manueverablity equipment should also make it damn nimble and damn accurate despite being an extreme range artillery ship, right?

Nice.

So how's it work anyway with Prow Lances? Do they functionally count as one tier "higher" in performance in exchange for being a huge pain in the ass to shoot compared to the actual next step up and being a bigger draw on Cramming?
Prow Lances work as a 90° forward facing weapons with a low fire-rate, high damage, and are more likely to get fucked if hit. Everything else flows from there.

And hitting something from extreme range that also dodges like a lunatic when provoked and has an excellent crew and commander is easier said than done, huh?

Consecration, while probably a boost to a worlds prosperity, is mainly a boost in defensiveness and holiness.

As such, I suggest we Consecrate worlds near our frontlines (Duchy) and near our neighbors for diplomatic/proselytizing purposes, especially Mashan (they would probably appreciate such a holy world).

Ooh, the Sag redesign is sick. Any new plan might want to designate a new Long-Range SBG type that is full of Pegasai, Hydrus, Saggitarius & Scutum.

Hey, with 2 Psykana actions we can upgrade 3 songs!
Which 3 songs?

I'm otherwise in favor of:
-mothomes. Obviously.
-can we make a heavy industry ISC? @HeroCooky what would we need to write in to spend actions to make an ISC dedicated to heavy industry.
-diplomacy
-psytech

All right here is the deal. I am choosing the ship addition that's giving me the least amount of work(aka I just add one to the vote) so this is it.

Okay to justify here. The units, I feel, don't really matter for specificity but if we want specifics we can switch em. Psykana for more melodies and because Paths was requested, Humanity helps with upgrades and I wanted Growth. Military ships are the 4 above. Good designs by Alectai and we are doing Econ Harmonization with Ashan and asking our God what the fuck is happening in the Quarantined sector and how to fix it.

Oh and Auto improve relations to the Black Ash Clans because genuinely don't think that the Duchy is ever getting past "Paranoid Hate" unless we beat them in war and tell them to fuck off and because spending actions when we don't gotta? Why do that?

They're still buying us time. 3 turns so far.

I won't vote for any plan that swaps diplomacy away from van Zandt.

Then it will not be doing intro with the black ash clans this turn or potentially for a few turns.

Also if we can't build a strong enough counter fleet in 7 turns to fight the Duchy then we are kinda cooked either way

Edit: How strongly do you feel about this? Because I am down with keeping it there and taking it off later but we won't be starting the process of fixing the other diplomatic nuke about to go off

I'm curious how many actions of wealth that will take @HeroCooky
I mean, they are banks and given the state the Ashan Families are always in-

Oh its straigh tup possibly to just buy them out completely. and it would cost that much... unsure of how much of that would be in terms of diplomacy options as there is that .5 boost to research banked in one of them.

Ok then. How many actions to support an uprising of the endlessly frustrated designers and engineers with materials, weapons, and promises of standardization?
Oh right the logistics rebellions (and wow that really feels like a 40k thing and term to say) and all of that. Would be a weird thing to support a rebellion over but it should-

0. But the second a Kil'drabi walks into their line-of-sight they will stab you with a dull spoon.
3.
Ah because they still are xenophobic and that wasn't the promised easy logistics promised since they have to deal with stuff for Xenos species needing their own things.... or just speciesism.

Not bad but it feels like we should just do the diplomacy actions since it seems the same cost but in different things.

6. And another 9 to prevent them from shooting a Yeeni walking nearby.
pffffft that sounds about right, never gonna spend that many actions compared to doing it the normal way but still funny. and how are the Yeeni more of a fear/problem then the Kil'Drabi? Oh wait.

1. QM what would be the personaifcation of the Shipwright's Grove, Ashan Familes, Black Ash Clan, Black Cat Mercs, and the Mashan Temple authority? like how the Glimmering Federation was a HMG totting Nun with a Kal'drabi bestie draggin artillery and captive conscripted pressganged Found Yeeni Bf carrying drum mags?

We...we have a whole ass alliance with them. Why are considering doing revolutions in an ally? What are we, the USA?
.....do want the real answer? or the meme answer?

CLAIDEN'S RIFT CAMPAIGN - STATUS: COMPLETED
ORK PRESENCE - NEGLIBILE
CASUALTIES - ~268.000
EXPECTED REPAIR TIME FOR DAMAGED ASSETS - >7 MONTHS
VERDICT...SUCCESS
Oh okay, not too bad, Orks are mostly gone, only seven months of repair needed and the casualties are within limits. Don't know how many of those were ground troops and which were crew losses but acceptable.

The Claiden's Rift Campaign finished, even with a last sucker-punch by the Orks against the Temple Ship of the Lamenters leading to minor damage to its super-structure, and in its wake, the Glimmering Federation finds itself facing two new polities on its...near its borders. Within the Rift itself, the Watchtower Confederation exists. A collection of worlds loosely bound together by a shared military command without a unified political or economic strategy, the Confederacy focuses instead on internal matters and ensuring that the threats of the galaxy cannot snuff them out like candles in a gale. The polities of their members are varied and many, with a stated 28 systems under their banner in their Sub-Sectors, yet they remain, on the whole, not too disinterested in the Glimmering Federation despite the apparent issues in conducting any sort of trade or diplomacy with each other. After all, you fought against the Orks with them, and for that, you deserve recognition.
Oh shit new faction? I thought they were mostly indepdent or did they form up within the last few decades (turns) and we just didn't know? Either way it is a Confederation so some systems should be able to leave if need be and don't have too much there to unify them, soooooo faction to absorb of we focus on it? They're only together to make a bigger pain in the ass if anything attacks them. And purging Orks is always a good bonding activity.

Either way looks like the Orks managed to get one good punch against the Temple ship of the Lamenters, and for a minute I had a panic that it was OUR unarmed Temple there for a minute. glad that wasn't the case.

On the other side of that coin lie the Lords of Eternity, a probably feudal nation within Sub-Sector Unfallen, coming into contact with the Federation when a scout entered the linchpin system of the Sub-Sector and observed three fleets battling each other before retreating after failing to gain any advantage. The Lords of Eternity welcomed the scouts of the Federation into their systems in the spirit of peace and cooperation. Still, they noted that they have long been at war with both a Xenos Species whose appearance and language are all but unknown to them, despite the many centuries of conflict, and the perfidious Eldar that swing and tremble between whose side they are on and lend allegiance toward, if they aren't busy propping up their own puppets in the Sub-Sector. It should be noted here that, without fail, all higher-ups in the Eternity were, to some degree, psychically gifted. Contact with this polity will likely require extensive work for the Celestial Choir to ensure that Claiden's Rift can be safely traversed by the fleets of the Federation with their Songs.
Huh, so we went into the next Subsector? okay then, didn't think we did and wow a Three way war raging on with yet another Feudal Faction out and about. So seems like its a stalemate for now andddd what the hell are the Eldar doing here? I'm gonna take a look at the map after this.

So threeway war, we will want to take a look at the Xenos race to see if its a Ravager or something. just double check on that. So it seems the Eldar are not top dog in this Sub-sector and propping up puppets here. Huh so Pskyers are all the upper command and positions for this faction? interesting.

And yah I think we'll need to station extra choirs on the worlds in Claidens' Rift to make sure they can assist in the travel.

Huh, so the non ork held planets were part of the Watchtower Confederation I don't think we need to worry about them and can start on them later as we focus on the Ashan Families and Shipwright's Grove in the meantime. maybe at least start formal relations.

Holllyy shit, this is just a continuation of the Space Balkans, you cannot tell me otherwise. So besides the middle of the sub-sector being no man's land and ground zero, we have the Lords of Eternity with two clusters here and their main heartland being in the Valiant Sub-Sector An unknown xenos who may have been here in the Sub-Sector or came over from the..... hidden Village? what is up with that name? Oh boy this feels like the first time we found the Ashan Families and the Macabre Sub-sector.

Yah leave this for around five turns and check on it.

A sword descended upon a world.

A head rolled from a corpse.

A Plan finished as it always does.

And a Sphinx of the Federation wakes from a slumber, eyes blinking from their tired rising, a mind slowly waking itself to bring about the information given by a dream...from the Star Child themselves.

The Children of Mothome were in danger of falling to Chaos in full.

It must not happen.

Within the week, the Divine Beast sets out with a fleet and armies in tow, its hand and call breaking past all barriers to this liberation.

Stars would fall upon Mothome.

And they would be filled with soldiers of the Federation ready to die for the immortal souls of Children.
Oh shit, so that's why if you got omakes it would have the Moths joining in? damn they're getting uplifted after this. I think this Sub-sector is going to be the easiest one to do every world into Hallowed World considering how few there are. And wow didn't expect a vision from the Star child for it, I thought the monitor ship we left there would be enough to notice it.

Also because its just asking for it. DON'T TOUCH THE CHILDREN YOU DAMN MOLLUSK

[] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Write-In World)
Works of generations started today.
(Gain: A Consecrated World.)
Yup, lets save that for down the line PLEASE. lets at least do some tech and design an Anti-dutchy ship design. We can do Sub-Sector Irridanus and see how it is to complete a sub-sector to all hallowed worlds.

[] [Free] A Parent's Obligation (Write-In 1 [One] SBG and no more than 4 [Four] SAGs.)
As seen, as done, as needed, as required. We shall not let a child fall to Chaos while we yet breathe.
(Gain: Mothome Sub-Turn.)
Oh shit its free? I guess setting up the monitoring and it being a small conflict gives us that. alright then.

-[] Civilian Infrastructure XVI (0/2)
Oh right we just did that.... so what did New Dawn do?

Habitable Worlds: ??? - 1 - Gigachad (Swamp, Boreal Forest, Boreal Swamp, Jungle), ??? - 2 - Gigachad (Small Hills, River Valleys, Atolls), ??? - 3 - Gigachad (Temperate Forests, Spiders, Lush Caves, Spiders, Flowering Savanna, Spiders)
Hostile Worlds (-1 Void Industry): Olutia - Grace of the Labors (Dry Tundra), Magisch - Hexe (Arctic and Island)
Deathworlds (-1 to All): Qulach's Forge - Qulach's Forge (Fallout, Glass, Industrial Ruins, and Chemicals))
Oh nice so we have Gigachad as habitable worlds to settle. and so many spiders, but good range of biomes.... why is spiders mentioned Three times in the third world?

and I didn't expect those worlds to appear, I can guess Olutia but I can't find Magisch at all.

[] Formal Exchange Of Dipomatic Contacts (Watchtower Confederacy/Lords of Eternity/Black Ash Clan)
Just don't mention Brans. In fact, don't send anyone who knows about that. As for the others, prepare long-term mission kits.
(Gain: Chosen polity opens communications with you on a semi-regular basis.)
Oh boy a new addition to the list. and we really should do the Black Ash Clan and get started so we don't-

Brans - Branus
Suspected Subversion Time: Halted
Modifiers: Peaceful Change Order. ~80 Years Suspected
SAI Department Note: Abandoning this would risk detection. Switching focus will require greater investiture of resources.
Well, shit. we have eight turns for now but we do wait until the last moment for things. I'd say around three turns, four at most before we should do the Formal Excahnge fo Dipomatic contacts and try to sway the Black Ash Clan so that little attempted subversion doesn't blow up it our face.

[] [Chapter] Recuperate and Expand (0/5)
With the most pressing matters dealt with, and aid denied by those in possible need, the Lamenters will not turn their attention to expanding their Chapter to better wage war against the horrors of the galaxy.
(Gain: The Lamenters gain eight Companies.)
was it really that... Oh no that wasn't losses incurred, They Just Making Eight More Companies Just BECAUSE. holy shit, I guess it makes sense considering the amount of companies you can put on some of their ships. Maybe we should point a few points in this to help speed it up.

Tropical and Temperate.
Huh, interesting but it makes sense as most insects don't do well in cold climates and it is fitting considering its been more eastern theme.

Magisch veers a bit too close on the Heavy Metals side in its fauna/flora alongside some minor overpresence of poisonous metals in its crust to be comfortable.

Olutia has Drgns.
Oh that would explain it being a hostile world, that shit is bad for a lot of people.

HOLD UP. There be Dragons at Olutia!? expedition now!

Yeah, it can do that. Or spend an Action.
I'd rather just spend the action on Black Ash Clan formal exchange of diplomatic contacts, we kinda of stalling them and unless we do a write in on the Dutchy to do SOMETHING. Which I will remind people is something we can do, along with trying to make Iconoclast breakaway states-

You know what? screw it, this won't be asked or discussed until Someone asks. 2. @HeroCooky how do we go about making Iconoclast break-away states in the Dutchy? and would doing a write-in trying to warm things with the dutchy going to do anything besides attempt to extend the ceasefire?

Yes.
Planets.
Multi-tasking.
Relation's gonna worsen. Dunno, at least three decades.
Oh the planets were New Dawn's thing this turn okay.

3. Huh I'm guessing its because of how they would say us pulling the diplomats as a sign we're ready to go to war or something or something similar? and damn, that's kinda good. I'd rather keep them on there to stall the Dutchy or just do a write to do it.

Do Not The Drgn! *Whacks With Rolled Up Newspaper*
You can't stop our Inner Thules Qm or rather the Thules's thirst from escaping.

More seriously its because its Dragons! We want dragon friends and Dragon riders to go into battle! it'd be awesome, also because another Xenos means more traits.

No dragonrider thule (&yeeni)?
..... I hate you. I hate you so much. Dragon Rider takes on a whole new meaning and not the one I was making reference to.

DO NOT THE DRGN! *WHACKS WITH ROLLED UP NEWSPAPER*
You can't stop the Thules, they will attempt it!

I suggest we currently consecrate the world of Phantom in Echish system, especially if we decide to turn our diplomats away from the Dutchy. Just sounds like a good idea to reinforce one of the first lines of defense we have in an approaching conflict.
that's.... I mean okay? I think that's more geared against Chaos more than anything.

As well as upgrading out strikes craft through Interlinked Cogitation Sharing and Strike Craft Structural Studies.

@Neablis I removed the Auto-relations because I recalled that it won't be as effective but we are going to have to introduce ourselves soon because...well that timer is dangerous for any relation we have with them. We are gonna have to have a convo or use an action to remove the infiltration
