You mean like Sakura's secret bloodline limit?Something that I have thought about but never seen used: mental clones
Basically shadow clones without an external body. It would allow to perfectly splitting your concentration so you can give your full concentration to multiple individual tasks simultaneously. Basically a multitasking jutsu.
Since the clone does not have an external form I would think it would only use as much chakra as the academy clone itself uses. Should be very doable if it can be figured out.
Indeed. he's rather good at becoming unassuming and is particularly skilled in Urban/civilian stealth. But Konoha is in a forest and he's very good at the 'Someones in the trees' 'Sounds of something moving all over the place cause Genjutsu' 'Movement in the trees was just a bushin' sort of thing. for flat out. hiding, he's better than most, but nothing special. his success lies in making his opponents make the first move and then brutally countering and capitalizing on any weakness.
Yes. And he will abuse the shit out of this.would he be able to get those jutsu that let you tunnel super fast?
Oh... Oh yes. I- I have these ideas oh, how I wait for the Chunin exams for Toru to face. Oh. The glorious mind games....Something that I have thought about but never seen used: mental clones

Secret bloodline limit? you mean the inner Sakura or???
Toru:"of course not. you got Goosed." *Ten-thousand years of Death-Goose style.*It would be hilarious if he was confronted by Itachi and used sleight of hand to counter Tsukuyomi.
Itachi: "...Did I just use Tsukuyomi on a duck?"
FINALLY!
Oh... Oh yes. I- I have these ideas oh, how I wait for the Chunin exams for Toru to face. Oh. The glorious mind games....
One Technique for you. Earth Style: Earth Dragon.FINALLY!
barely any other SI's do that...
what about the Jutsu that create moving solid-ish things?
like, remember when Kisame rode inside the watery shark Jutsu in order to fly?
that, but for other things?
Yes! YES! This is what I'm talking about! now, Add reduced visibility in a similar but lesser vein as our good old friend the Kirigakure Jutsu, introduce a level of uncertainty by providing plenty of distracting noises and sights, and then proceed with a variety of feints and fake outs to raise tension.jutsu taught in the academy have all sorts of potential.
If someone throws a kunai at you, and there is a puff of smoke and a kunai stuck in a log and you appear next to them, did you swap with the log or transform into a log with a kunai and create a clone?
If you create several clones, and they throw kunai at them, and one puffs into smoke and there is a kunai stuck in a log, did you hit the original and they swapped, or was the clone transformed into a log with a kunai?
If they attack a teammate, is that you under transformation?
With enough skill at the basic techniques, you could turn the battlefield into a shell game from hell.
We begin with the Fool (0), a card of beginnings. The Fool stands for each of us as we begin our journey of life. He is a fool because only a simple soul has the innocent faith to undertake such a journey with all its hazards and pain.
At the start of his trip, the Fool is a newborn - fresh, open and spontaneous. The figure on Card 0 has his arms flung wide, and his head held high. He is ready to embrace whatever comes his way, but he is also oblivious to the cliff edge he is about to cross. The Fool is unaware of the hardships he will face as he ventures out to learn the lessons of the world.
The Fool stands somewhat outside the rest of the major arcana. Zero is an unusual number. It rests in the exact middle of the number system - poised between the positive and negative. At birth, the Fool is set in the middle of his own individual universe. He is strangely empty (as is zero), but imbued with a desire to go forth and learn. This undertaking would seem to be folly, but is it?
I'm surprised his taijutsu is as bad as he described since he knows what's coming. While I didn't think he'd be some kind of martial arts god with his background, I'd have thought he'd at least put in as much effort into it as his sleight of hand techniques. Although to be fair, I always thought it wasn't taken as seriously as it should have been in canon either.
To me, taijutsu always seemed like it should be considered the very foundation of the pyramid of shinobi skills - when all else fails, and you're nearly out of chakra juice, your weapons and tools are used up or broken, your allies are dead/busy/not there, you're screwed unless your body is up to the task of getting your own ass to safety, either by being able to flee or neutralize an opponent physically.
Will you be showing that in the story? For those who will come later and read only the threadmarks? To be fair, he's not bad at on the fly improv in the middle of a fight. the issue is physical, not skill wise. due to the civilian aspect, while he trains hard, he's still just physically weaker and slower than clan kids, and he just doesn't have the muscle mass to match up with them, he also only mentioned Straight taijustsu. When he gets close his style relies a bit on tools to incapacitate his opponent. Senbon in a knee or arm, a feint with a kunai, a sucker punch to distract them, and then capitalize.
Also, he does Sandbag a bit against the over civilian born kids, matching most of them, but not pulling out consistent wins. Against the clan kids, he gives as good as he gets, but the Academy standard style is just a little too rigid for his tastes. one of the things he's going to inquire about with his Jonin-Sensei is getting started on a more fitting style for his mindset, most of the styles are Genin restricted anyway. Don't want an academy student learning straight killing hand to hand techniques. Clan kids get away with it because generally speaking, they are supervised when learning their clan fighting style
I will indeed. this next arc goes from the start of his final year to his graduation. It should cover a bit more about his class, reveal who his team is going to be, and set up some Chekov guns for later on. He also finally starts creating his Genin Level gear. Will you be showing that in the story? For those who will come later and read only the threadmarks?
Gambit from Xmen?Definitly need to see if you can adapt the explosive seal onto the backs of your cards, or build your cards with very thing layers of seals, stacking them with an adhesive until they are the right thickness. Get a bunch more bang for your buck.
Not quite, he can do a bit more damage. Think ready access to grenades, and lots of them at the small small cost of a pack of cards (Well, it would be a lot more expensive, since youre layering seals ontop of seals in order to get it, but well worth it)
I think it was mentioned somewhere that he can use chakra to slide safely on smooth surface. Granted, it's basically weaker version of "Tree Walking" technique, but still....Or you could gather chakra at your feet and slide on flat surface, like ice skating or something.
