If they was hanging out literally anywhere but Green Hill, it would be pointless to see if it's someone we could trip up by asking an out of the blue question. But the only thing we have to go on before Piastol's trip is what other heroes was commenting on, which is a fortune teller showed up that was supposedly providing accurate fortunes. We in character didn't know it was someone from the velvet room.
Besides, it's not like it isn't known that there's people who know different versions of Eggman that Eggman doesn't know personally. See Clove and Eggman's initial conversation.

That' why asking for all Seven would confirm she's the real deal and get some useful information.
I honestly don't think there's a question Eggman would ask that didn't have at least passingly something that proves if it's the real deal or not.

Gerald remains would had probably either be incinerated or buried somewhere prison island.
Asking their location could tip off Eggman that they are back somewhere as well the death have been rising from the grave.
If she points at least to those locations means they are still in the afterlife, anything other than that will give Eggman something to start the cogs of his midn.

Well I'll be fair to you all, you did almost get JFK'd so... I personally would say asking about hidden factions/threats in Green Hills wouldn't be too OOC.
That depends. I believe he spends a fair amount of his time personally investigating mysteries of archeology and conspiracy, which indicates he's aware that things are happening outside of his conflicts with Sonic and his friends.
However, I don't think he's ever regarded it as relevant unless someone tries to directly affect him.

The trouble we would have to word in such a way that would be told in such a way that would implicate them and not all the people that wan Dr. Eggman dead.
There are several Kings operating in some capacity in Green Hills, as show by Durel sending Breeze to the auction, and the very faction that operate in day light also spy on each other.

I could see Eggman asking four potential things.
The source behind the shattering and merging of worlds.
The location of Sonic the hedgehog.
A way to deal with his current ailments of other variants of himself gaining control of his body.
Or perhaps learning what Shadows deal is.

I guess it could work it could reveal omens of a upcoming crises that will hit Green Hills i the near future.
Hidden/future threats is a good thing to know
so can character growth is also pretty good, as well I've been wondering about something since that interlude boohoo write is now canon It's quite possible. Our other flunkies are in there as well.
I'm suggesting this is a possibility we could try to negotiate all the release if not, we can always crush gun and take them out.

I hope not, Thunderbolt is the only one that Eggman is aware and would negotiate only her release.
She escapibg would complicate matters with the alliance with GUN even when she herslef is a innocent prisioner.
