Only her exterior is wooden, underneath she is all metal like the rest of the badniks. She got even got controlled in the comics by Eggman's signal once.

maybe? the way their powers work is inconsistent to be honest. sometimes it looks like they're puppeting the bots through magnetism and sometimes it looks like they're hacking them. what we do know is that their control needs to be actively maintained, has a limited range and number of robots it can effect at once, and can be blocked through shielding the robot against electromagnetic waves.
