This was wonderfully written. If painful. Everyone fit, and their actions all made a lot of sense. Sage is a child, of course she doesn't understand what's going on. To Eggman this isn't about revenge or hate, this is about wanting to have a family who loves each other. He wants Belle to appreciate him, yes, but not at the expense of the relationship between his daughters. He wants a happy family, and that means everyone must learn to get along.
Sucks about the loss in action and the hurt in all actions. We might want to talk to Sage. She needs to learn that we don't love her less. We appreciate she cares. Just we want her and Belle to get along, and by doing this she was jeopardizing herself, her own relationships, for us, and that is not something that we can accept as our daughter. We might not want to talk to Belle next turn though. Our personal's are bad and I worry in our grief we might not react well. But if we leave Sage we might cause issues to grow.
And Isara might not have gotten to talk with us, but she is learning that we are very much a person. We might have done bad, but we aren't a complete monster. We have feelings, and we try to do our best for our daughters. Eggman is... complicated.
