Either way some though from the discord.

Also that last part, eggman is slowly realizing what it really feels like to lose someone close to You, first with Sage and now almost with Belle.

Eggman never gave a shit before about other opinions because well why would he, no one ever gave a shit about him before, the only one that could be said that did has been a major annoyance from day 1, but now that he has 2 girls that he actively cares for, it Will slowly sink in that maybe he needs to reel in and have those 2 actively be his anchors, otherwise that misery of loniless Will come back with a vengeance.

Whenever he acts or not on these new experiences is up to him.

Oh. Oh this is so good. Mechanically, bad. But in terms of narrative, I love it.

Going from Eggman starting to properly get into the woodworking (and how he was trying so hard to hide it!), to Belle being outraged to the point of what I think was the only aggressive action she's taken all quest (showing that she probably could do some serious damage if she were ever inclined), to Eggman's potential denial of his real motivation and her dragging Eggman's defense mechanisms out of him. Because he just doesn't know.

It's telling that the first thing his mind went to when Belle talked about those events was his enemies. Simultaneously, Eggman's changing, he's aware of it, but he also can't bring himself to admit it. Not out loud. Almost everything she listed was for his own benefit, at least in part, but he has done some actual good for no direct reward.

Eggman genuinely comes off as overwhelmed and a little lost here and it's great.

The transition from point to point is done so well here. So good, hats off.

It wasn't perfect…

But what made by your hands has been?
This line, coming from such an egotist as Eggman, is phenomenal.

I knew that this interlude was going to be sad, and it was, but it was also so good.

Thats honestly a much kinder response than I expected Belle to have. I mean, we did nearly destroy the planet twice.

Anywho, time to become an anti-hero in the name of not making our kids sad. :)

Next turn let's make Isara talk with Eggman, make sense since they will work togheter and she now have a grasp on Eggtech.

Need to rise Eggman Heart stats and nake him care for his Hero unots besodes Belle and Sage.

Also helps that Isara has a nore neutral view of the doctor so she can give a more frank response.

So is Eggman going to be moping on the Twitter Takeover now? :p

Actually before this interlude there were three omakes about Belle Make the Rounds this turn.

So she actually get only -5 this turn.

That was the greatest stroke of luck we have.

Belle with 100 loyalty due to her bonds with everyone else, but hating Eggman's guts: Do it for them, do it for them, do it for them.

….Fml…well shit.

Yeah that was low rolls…combined with our shit luck at times and eggmans past.

We at best can become a anti-villian…at best folks. We were never going to get belle to stay arent we?

Also is good for Eggman because let's be fair his methods have not been working at all.

Either he double down and become even more extremw or try a different approach.

Even he conquering the wrold inForces was thanks to the Phantom Ruby, not his badniks.

The hit in loyalty sucks, but perhaps this might not be all bad. Eggman is becoming aware that he wants something more than to rule the world, that there are things other than efficiency and dominating others that matters to him. He will take over the world still, but he also wants respect. For people to look up to him, and admire his greatness, and to genuinely care about him. Perhaps he will see that genuine respect freely given is worth more than the "respect" he gains from those who fear and live under him.

Really hope we do better with our next talk to her. As much as we did it to do good, we were also being pragmatic. Having our strongest units leave because we didn't fulfill their drives would have been troublesome.
