Hey. Yo. Couldn't help but notice we were talking about real fucking vampires.

This guy wasn't invited? Seriously?

Is it the one where she's his sister, but neither know it, and she's kinda-sorta in love both with him and with the other guy, and later she finds out that he's a vampire, and she's actually (either is or becomes) a vampire princess herself? With the Day Class and the Night Class? Because I might have... Not watched, but observed that one.
I think I watched that for some reason. My main sanity-preserving technique was to always mentally redub the one vampire who was supposed to be one of her love interests with Gehrman's voice, since he's supposed to be at least a couple centuries old. That reframed most of his actions from "creepy Edward expy" to "overprotective grandpa".

Incidentally....
I've done the impossible before (or at least, what a certain individual or two thought to be impossible)
Source:
[...] honestly, until I read this story, I believed that there was essentially no point to doing any sort of crossover that resembled this (the one this quest seems to use) formula when Gurren Lagann was one of the things involved in the crossover, mostly because I believed (and still mostly believe) that the setting of TTGL is a very big part of their and character, and that if they existed and grew up in a different universe, that it just wouldn't work.

And yet, EU01 managed to convincingly portray the characters in a way that's both similar to their canon counterparts and that makes sense. So essentially, thanks, Eva.

Well, you can't exactly blame me.

Gurren Lagann has an insane power scale, and the entire plot pre-timeskip seems to function only because there's a tyranny of sorts over a large portion of land. And I thought, "Hey, surely if there was a crossover between this and something else, no matter how small you make the area take place in, the other governments of the world would've seen the power of Spiral Energy years ago, right?"

I mean, there are these guys running around in mech suits that have the ability to evolve to match the power of practically anything in their way.

It seems like the sort of thing someone would notice.
...Actually, though, going by that train of logic, it would be perfectly plausible to have a crossover between Escaflowne and Gurren Lagann. Even if you make the events of Gurren Lagann take place across the whole Earth. But that's irrelevant, right now.
On a more related note: has anything much happened during my hibernation, or should I just read through the previous few updates? Edit: Thanks, EU01.

Update 100 - Monster Attack
The sounds of widespread panic are drifting in from the street below.

...tch. The hell's wrong now?

You, Jotaro Kujo, reluctantly go over to the window and peek through the blinds.

When you do, you see a bunch of plant monsters are openly rampaging through the streets, killing and eating any given innocent bystander they can manage to grab hold of.

...fucking wonderful.

You give the Witch woman an irritated glance. She seems to be acting nice and civil now, but it might just be an act to lower your guard... Just one little thing before you go take action. "...Hey. Those man-eating plants down there -- are they yours?"

"No," she says while shaking her head. "I-I mean, yes, I cultivated them and can control them, but no, I didn't call for them. I'm baffled."

...she looks baffled, too. And you're not convinced that she's worth anything as an actress. "Son of a bitch," you mutter.

There are monsters that need smashed, civilians in need of being saved, and with gramps nowhere around, your available resources amount to Tsukune, Mizore, Kurumu, and Moka. ...and Ruby, if you feel you can trust her. ....although, someone should probably hang back and stay with Yukari...

No time for hesitation or indecision - there are lives at stake!

Your plan of action is to...!

So, yeah, you need to decide what the group's plan of attack (or plan of defense) is going to be.

Options include but are not limited to going down to the street and fighting monsters, alone or with backup (specify who the backup is), helping to coordinate civilian rescue efforts, etc.

Gurren Lagann doing the impossible, nothing new here.

Hmm...without knowing the slightest thing about R+V other then Mizore is best girl...

[x]Wait a minute, she said she can control them?
-[x]Ask Ruby about stopping them. If she will do it, how to do it if she can't, if it's possible that someone took over them while she was knocked out, if something else could have set them off...
--[x]If she can't turn them off...
---[x]Well, plants die in winter, right?
----[x]Have Mizore start freezing things. You'll go with her as back up. (If someone else has control over the plants, the two of you will try to find them.)
-----[x]In the mean time, Tsukune should stay with Yukari. (He won't be in that much danger here, hopefully). If possible, Inner Moka's assistance would be useful...ask him to bring her out.
------[x]Kurumu should go rescue civilians. (She can fly, right? You're reasonably sure that succubi can fly in folk tales...) If possible, so should Inner Moka. When the civilians are safe, they can join up with you. (Follow the trail of beaten up/melted/frozen plants)

[X] Show the world that the Joestar line is alive and well. Grab your old man, round up your friends, and clean up the trash that is swarming the streets.

[X] Wait, you can control these things? Tell 'em to stop chewing on the civvies, then!
-[X] When this fails, try getting some info on the why/how of it - has somebody else taken over? Can we shut them down? Do they have weaknesses? Are you being a total unreasonable human-hating bi- Could there be a third explanation that in no way incriminates or antagonizes you?
--[X] Like, fire? Does fire work? There's probably some cars out there that people wouldn't mind donating to the "help Jotaro save everyone's asses" initiative...
-[X] Wait, shit, Mizore can just freeze them to death, like that weird cold snap that made Mom freak out about her rose bushes last winter! That way they'll die without me having to blow up half the city doing it!
--[X] I'll still go with her, though. Damned if I'm going to sit around and not punch out plant monsters.
-[X] Tsukune should stay with Yukari. See if either of you can get Inner Moka on the case.
-[X] Kurumu? You can go see if there's any people who are hurt. Like, not 'human taco meat' hurt, but just kind of jacked up in a way you get better from. See if they need anything, like... actually, how do normal people handle getting hurt? Legitimately asking here.

Jotaro knows IC that Kurumu can fly - he saw her do it back when he was beating up the Swimming Club.

Also, do you want Outer Moka, or Inner Moka? Either one could be considered a notable asset, but at this point Inner is really only of any considerable use as an extra front-line combatant (though to be fair, she fills that role at least as well as Jotaro does). If you want to put Moka to rescue work, Outer would be much better-suited for it -- which Jotaro also knows IC.

Inner is badass-white-haired-punch-shit Moka right?
I'm going for that one.

The idea is basically that since Kurumu will be carting out civilians, she might need a heavy front line to tank and protect her.

Inner normally only bothers kicking her opponents (as if some lowly garbage-tier monsters are worthy of dirtying her hands on), but yeah, that's Inner.

So long as we're all clear on what your plan is...
