I mean, you do have more options than just asking about those two. I was tempted to not put any default options at all and just leave "[] Write-in" as the sole default. :p
Fair enough, just my immediate thoughts though. Thank you for the default options though they are very helpful.

We should totally go rescue the kidnapped noble. Lady Amedea or whoever that is. That's a plot hook.... and the most interesting lead to go do something.

[x] ask more about the kidnapped noble, and what a sneaky, stabby sort might need to secure their rescue.

If we can build some rep with local authorities, a lot of our next steps become a great deal smoother.

these votes feel about right.

Edit: My bad! Sorry!

60 minutes is about as short as a vote moratorium can get, and it still hasn't been that long. :p

EDIT: When proposing votes, empty brackets [] make it clearer that you're just trying to propose it instead of trying to vote for it right then.

What can I say? we're very eager. Someone over on SB said that quest participants are like one great big wendigo, a creature that never gets full or satisfied - only bigger and hungrier proportional to every meal.

Think the Moratorium is over, time is weird on this site.

I guess we just aren't used to not being quadruple immortal. Oh well, I am sure everything will be fine :D

See, people have been looking at that starter location roll all wrong. They're like "Oh no, we got a 4 out of 100, clearly our luck is terrible!" When in fact that roll was for how many problems there would be in the starter location. We truly lucked out that there was only 4, and none of them were anything important.

Technically, that roll was a 24; there was a +20 fiat modifier (and a reroll if it were to land on 1).

This may or may not disprove your "number of major problems" hypothesis. :V

[X] Ask more about the kidnapped noble

"Oh, but you'll want to join a Guild first," [...]
try turning around and following the road once you get some essentials at Pava; that'll bring you to Belonde after a few days. They're not big enough to have a Guild of their own, although you can always find some teenage Guild enthusiasts who'd love to give you a rundown of ones nearby.
It's interesting that he refers us to civilians w.r.t. questions about local Guilds, especially when we could reach Belonde in a week at the earliest.
Considering that they provided a decent overview over the area, I doubt it's lack of knowledge about the local guilds. So why are they sending us all that way for information they likely have themselves?

[] Why didn't they list their own Guild as one to join? You're not insulted, just curious.
She caught a split-second frown flit across Nero's face before the cheerful countenance returned.
Considering that Nero seems to hide his suspicious mind under a mask of cheerfulness, I personally have no interest in poking him about whatever he's hiding. We wouldn't get anything of substance, and showing interest might cause him to make it harder for us to investigate independently, should we want to do that later.

The shorter of the two had lime green hair with his counterpart possessing crimson. The eyes of both seemed to match their hair color, too.

Perhaps most importantly, the shorter one felt like crackling static while the larger smelled strongly of tree sap.
Green haired/eyed lightning magic user, and red haired/eyed druid? Unless that's a mixup, it's strange that the colors are inverse to their magics. An attempt at misdirection to surprise enemies seems unlikely, though - while hair dye is simple, I doubt they'd use contact lenses just for that.

[] Any recommendations for odd jobs? You'll need more money for essentials before anything else.
They already mentioned the one noteworthy job they know about in Pava, and Nero hinted that competition here at the camp isn't welcome. It's probably more efficient to directly ask in Pava instead.

[] Do they have any recommendations for finding non-combat magic guides? Your skillset is a bit narrower and more violent than you'd prefer.
Asking about non-combat magic that won't help us with missions might lower their opinion of us, since we'd look like we're not taking the wizard job seriously enough. Then again, if they underestimate us as a 'casual' that might have its own advantages...

[x]So, what exactly is "strong" here? It's a bad idea to fight demons in general, or is there some level of competence past where it's only somewhat hazardous?
[x]Anything particularly valuable that might be sold in those towns? I can't imagine they'll give much for free since Blake doesn't even have a bowl to her name...
[x]Tell me more about these 'gods' and their priests. It seems dangerous to be around a bunch of fickle types with way too much ego and power. Do we need to start a bit of a Protestant Reformation? :D

-[x] Since the alternatives are a dark guild or distant legal one, might the local lord be willing to hire an unaffiliated wizard to secure his daughter's rescue?

The kidnapped noble definitely smells like an opportunity. There's a limited time window before the nearest (legal) Guild can respond, so Blake may be the local lord's best option. Getting into his good graces could be useful.

Considering that Nero seems to hide his suspicious mind under a mask of cheerfulness, I personally have no interest in poking him about whatever he's hiding. We may not ever see these people again, so there's no sense in being so shy about asking questions. All the defaults are pretty innocuous, anyway.

Who cares if they're offended by Blake politely asking about their Guild, or if they think she's competition? A potential minor opinion loss is worth the info.

I try not to just do votes with no discussion attached to them, but I pretty much agree with his entire write-in.

I'm half-tempted to ask for a spar just so we know how we measure up to an average wizard. But it's undermined by them going easy to conceal their abilities because they don't trust us.

Moratorium over? My bad - I'm on SV at work. And yeah, Ham has it pretty much right.

I mean, I agree--those were good questions--but I think you're supposed to actually quote the questions! :D
Sorry, the last quest I was in did it like this; a couple people write something in and writing in the vote-writer's name was easier for QM to tally than if everyone copy+pasted it. Like, someone puts up a write-in and everyone who wanted to vote for it just did (X)name.
Second quest I'm a part of, is it different here?
