So Linker Cores = Souls here? *Shrug* I always thought of the Linker Core as a metaphysical organ linking the soul to the body and holding an overflow of energy from the soul if it was connected to it at all...

... Wait, shit. If she thinks it's a Linker Core when it's actually a Soul that might actually be some credence to the idea that she might be a girl who brainwashed herself with a Wish.

Can we do a backtrack? "Before I answer this, can you answer me one question" type of thing?

If she has a soul gem she gets the whitewash. I assume she doesn't have a soul gem, or we'd be having other questions.

Or she cant tell the difference between a linker core and a soul. I mean has she ever seen a soul before?

Isnt this simply the seed becoming a witch? Or is this suppose to be the Soul Gem state?

That's the same reason for why I used that phrasing.

That and Homura's general confusion about whether or not it really is Nanoha and not something like a girl who Wished to be like Nanoha.

also finally caught up X__X

This started with Homura triggering Sayaka's 'Sempai' mode and then it just kept running down the rabbit hole. While having a Homura that is descended from a clan of crazed watchmakers and has a tendency to wild mood swings along with vivid audio-visual hallucinations.

and this may STILL be the most emotionally healthy Homura I've seen in a quest where I've actually cast a vote.

Yes we need her to warn her off talking about this stuff freely because the only stage she's missing is the Magical Girl stage of a soul gem. If someone already has suspicions, such as from a very close call to witch out and seeing something inside the soul gem - that might be enough to tip them over. And a witch out is always bad business.
