Renascence: A Homura Quest

Honorifics or Western-style Titles? I've used both before, which is bothersomely inconsistent

Don't steal it right now. If we do, everyone will know we stole it. Wait a few days and see if we can arrange some sort of deal with the owner. If not, then we ask Yuko for it.
....Being Homura, we presumably have time stop and shield-space. Why can't we steal it ourselves? It's literally just lying there. If nothing works out, we can always come back later.

How about we attempt to buy it first, then say we are one of the Akemi and the clock has sentimental value to us (Honestly, the person is either a collector or has sentimental value as well, and could possibly be argues to give it to us.). If none of that works, we can always come back for it.

Your father never created anything of notable quality, and sold off the ones he inherited to start his business, as far as Homura knows.

This does not mean he can't help you acquire one.

@Higure I noticed the distinct lack of an index and decided to fix it.

[x] Tell him who you are and why you want this clock.
[x] Try more money. Your father might be upset, but you can actually call the old man if you have to.

Thank you. I'll add it to the first page.

Would it be alright if I used Homura's Jii-chan in part of a fanfic I'm still trying to find time to write?
Feel free.

We have high wordsmithing, and we can tell our sob story in full. I'm kinda intrigued by the idea that we could also learn to make clocks, but not sure if we'll have the time.

[x] Try to arrange a meeting with the owner.

Since it's relevant...what's massive pendulum that Homura normally has in her war room? There were hints that it was magical, but is it linked to a physical time piece?

The pendulum is not linked to any physical object, no.

Clock Making is governed by Mechanical Expertise, just like vehicles, weapons, and other machines. So that's the skill to train if you do want to take up the family craft.

Hugging clocks while crying one's eyes out isn't exactly the picture of mental stability, you know.
Even if it would be one of the few remaining things from your dear grandfather? i know i would cry if i lost the lighter my own grandfather gave me and then cry again if i find it.

Too bad he didnt work in something quite as sentimental as clockwork, hugging a shoe just doesnt have the same gravitas.....

I've personally got a fan my Grandmother gave me when I visited China to see her.
She died six months after that, and I always make sure it's on my dresser every time I go to sleep.

I still use some of my own grandfather's furniture. It may be heavy and worn, but...well, that's not a bad thing, in a way.
