[X] As much as you don't want to, it is obvious this guy just want to murder something in general and you don't doubt demons are able to hold grudges if you remember Morax well, so better put it out like a rabid animal, before it comes to attack you in your sleep.

DESTINY: outsider.
You find yourself surrounded by ice. There's a small hut in the distance, so you begin approaching. Blizzards never really bothered you.

There's a woman standing outside. You recognize the symbol on her cloak, and sigh.

"Bray." You greet.

"Konishi." Elsie greets you back. "Still hunting Chronos?"

"No, we're on good terms now." You spared his life. Old habits die hard, you suppose. "Still cleaning up after Clovis?"

She sighs, holding her head in one hand. "He really knows how to screw everyone else over." She meets your gaze, turning around to reveal a new Exo face. "But I highly doubt you're here for idle chit-chat."

"Guilty as charged." You put your hands up playfully. "You got a tip for me?"

"Yes, I do. It's actually from this system. You're looking for a supposed Goddess of Hope, right?" When you nod, she continues, "Well, ever since Savathun fell, I've been coming across strange signals from her Throne World."

"Great. Hive." You were never scared of bugs, but you absolutely hate dealing with these chitinous bastards. "I'll kill them, and turn her little Barrier upside down--"

"Bad move." Elsie shakes her head, "Lots of Guardians in the area. Scorn, too. Your best bet would be to work with a Ghost to track the signal."

"I have enough demons. I'll just--"

"No. Not here."

You sigh. "Suit yourself." You unsheathe Dawn, and stab the air to your side. It shatters, giving you a path to the Witch Queen's personal Barrier.

"Many beings inside the Throne World will have sensed that." Dawn warns.

"I've killed worse." You step through.

As much as I prefer to confirm that he's feral, we do kinda need the xp

313: Put Down
[X] Put it down.

You don't exactly like, or even want, to do what you're about to do. It's pretty obvious that this thing wants nothing more than to kill anything in front of it.

If you let it go, it will hold a grudge if Morax was anything to go by. If you don't do this, it may attack you in your sleep. Or worse, it could hurt someone else.

"Hold it down, Kirika." You order, your tone showing your distain for the act you're about to commit. "Watch out for my blade."

"Okay, got it~!" She has it pinned in a way that gives you a clear stab at its chest. "Do your thing!"

It's a rabid animal. It's a rabid animal. It's a rabid animal.

As you look at it, the demon makes it clear that it's not sentient enough for talk. You'll put it out of its misery before--!!

Several loud bangs echo through the street. Homura stands beside you, holding her Desert Eagle in one hand. The demon is already dissipating.

She breathes out.

(INT ROLL: 9+5)

...You can't really tell what she's thinking, let alone what her intentions were when she took the shot.

"There. Now let's be done with this." She puts the pistol behind her shield, and flips her hair.

"Son of a... Sheesh, that was cold." Koppa Tengu states in shock.

Yuma instantly rejoins you, followed closely by Kohaku. "Are you okay?" Kohaku asks to you and Kirika.

"I'm good!" Kirika gets up, and dusts herself off.

[X] "I don't know."
-[X] Start dropping the girls off at their houses. It's getting late, after all.

No matter how much we will need to kill, I don't want Yumi to get used to executions. A fair fight is one thing, but an execution is cold.

Edit. Added the "what to do afterwards"

[X] "I don't know."

Better the bitter truth than a sweet lie. At least she won't forget the feeling of putting down a downed enemy.

Mercy killing is, after all, still killing. That will help her ground herself more better when the time comes.

[X] "The path to peace is often paved in bloodshed. Sometimes, I just wonder how many people have to die. I hate it. I despise it. Yet, it's something I can't change. In the end, all I can do is fight for what I believe matters. If that includes killing, then so be it. I don't think I'll ever get used to this though..."

Are you certain thats what you want her to say? It just kinda seems a bit much to me. Sometimes a lack of words says more.

If something it is a start of getting used to this, because while the girls will not really say anything.

We will really get chewed out by Kazuya, the strange journey protag, Dante, Raido and our grandfather once the chips are put down.

Doing thing like these is expected in this line of work and as much as we want to play it pacifist, we will find ourselves in more than one situation when killing the target is the only option left, specially when you cannot really reason with them.

Should they be lucid or not, sometimes even if they can understand you, they will never back down from their path.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from, but it's what I think Yumi would say if she spoke her mind in words. It's a bit of a monologue but figured it clarified her thoughts on the matter. We already know how Yumi feels about Demons so for all intents and purposes, Yumi and her friends just killed a, albeit rabid, person. It's why she keeps trying to imagine it as an animal rather than a person.

Edit: Also no one voted on what to do after.

Thats fair, I just wanted to make sure you had thought it through

Hence why I had only quoted your dialogue. Added your afterwards to my vote.

On a somewhat unrelated note: A lot of PreCure AMV have made their way into my youtube recommendations, and I think Yumi would have made a great Pretty Cure. They seem to have a strong tendency to go in for unarmed melee combat.

If you want, we could just make Yumi a have an inner monologue, but saying "I don't know" I feel would just worry Kohaku.

Yumi would have made a great Pretty Cure
Never watched this, who?

Edit: Actually, speaking of l YouTube Reccomended stuff, I started getting undertale stuff in my recommended. Wonder how Yumi would do in that universe. I imagine that she would actually fight Undyne before running.

Eh, I'll leave the end result to the rest of the voters. I say we let them decide.

Pretty Cure is like the longest running Magical Girl series in existance. The short and sweet is that its the MG equivalent of Power Rangers, where every series stars a new group.

You might recognize the English dub under the name Glitter Force.

Heres a fight scene involving an experienced PreCure team for reference:

I think the reason I don't like the "I don't know" option as much because it feels too much like setting the issue aside, rather than addressing it. Sort of in a "I don't know how to feel yet." Or "I don't want to think about this."

Considering the question she's answering, I think its: "I don't know if I am okay." And thats a perfectly normal reaction for someone who displayed Yumi's mindset in this chapter. Feelings are complicated.
