I want to be optimistic about New Dawn, and in fact I'd hope that if reading them in wins, them finding out about the Project would reassure any doubts they have or whatnot.

...But my inner pessimist just can't help but think of the worst case scenario, and at this point switching back to voting to reading them in is gonna make me feel even more indecisive.

I wonder if the ape mission has an expiry date. people are going to catch him at one point.
No they're not. Orangutans are ungovernable.

I would consider that our opponents explicitly have a psychic remote viewer, and that the Zenith is likely not as protected from that as Apiary is. Information leakage is not only limited to betrayals.

Would it possible for Dr. Ibis to build something like that in the Zenith and other bases, we pick up.

Wolong is also completely positive none of his team are double agents.
None of HIS team you say.

Time for the conspiracy AU: Oops! All Double Agents

Rhys, as we all know, works for the CIA. Secretly he works for a splinter faction within the CIA that's plotting a coup against President Thule to install Augur as the head of the American government. They're convinced Augur is the second coming of Chrisrt. Augur doesn't know they exist.

Maddie is obviously a plant seeded by Le Petit Prince, whos newly enhanced powers let him embed trigger phrases that will cuase her to turn on JU when he says them.

Ellie serves the Frozen Throne, and is here to find someone suitable for long term sitting. Mona, with her invunerability and possible agelessness, and Lady Leizi, with her perfect butt, are the primary canidates.

Châtelet is under contract to Faust, planted as his contingency in case JU escaped the resturant confrontation.

Doctor Silver is working for the Interlocuter, who promised to revive his daughter when he delivers the secrets of Project Prometheus, leading him to befriend Dr. Mammoth Ibis.

Yara is working for the Hours in exchange for their protection from her father.

Belle Sabreusse was hired by Jair Oliviera to keep Yara out of his enemies' clutches, or eminate her as a last resort.

Mona was turned by the Lady in Blue when they met on the Stage.

Lady Leizi knows all their true motives and is desperately scrambling to find more disloyal canidates to achieve total conspiracy saturation. Her goal is apotheosis as the god of spies, moles, and double crosses.

  • Shelley is attempting to steal all the Apiary money in order to open a music studio and enrich the Worker's Mitt. She's managed to embezzle two dollars.
  • Song is working for Phlogiston/the Demon Flamez who promised to give him a new martial arts studio in the NID.
  • Soraria is working for the Americans who are trying to start up a new healthcare business in Horizon using the JU money/Yara stocks. She's managed to embezzle ten dollars.
  • Cain is very obviously just in it for the superpowers so he can go back to being a machine that turns cartels into dead cartels.

It not the worst idea.

I'm pretty sure the main protection for Apiary is the spirit of Rosemary, which I doubt is replicable. Also Ibis doesn't specialize in powers.

Probably not but it could be branch off from Rosmary's Baby. Dr. Ibis specialist in Genetics so there has got to be some cross-over

Small update to the OrbCo product line
I keep forgetting to ask what's this in reference too
An alliance is quite literally our agreement with Wolong. We're allies, but the merge won't happen until after we finish dealing with Monarch and her gang. Got a problem with that? Take it up with Lady Leizi and Wolong who hashed it out.

Wolong is absolutely one of the people who needs to know about PP since we regularly consult him and he's 100% on board with the idea. The rest of New Dawn don't need to know, and by all indications, they're fine not knowing either. The more people know about PP, the harder it is to keep a secret, and I don't see a benefit to breaking operational security until after ND and JU merge which will take a few more turns since Monarch isn't easy to deal with.
So i breaking this by numbers for my personal ease
1. This very much feels like it's part of a problem I have with how parts of this voter base just pre plans to the Nith dregee with out realizing things will change as the story unfolds we have gotten the opportunity to move ahead on the merger by a good bit and I think not taking it is because we are being to cautious rather annoying. And on the in character front you very much sound like you're letting us knowing LL & opera are only going to be gone for a little bit cloud that they are both MIA in universe & Wolong is going to be leading JU for a undetermined amount of time it is basically already the merger to them

2. I think your big it's harder to keep a secret when more people know misses the rather big important factor that almost all of our enemy factions already know that the project Prometheus exists they are just wrong about what it is. New Dawn would just need to keep it from the public that it's real (which again I would point to them convincing the city they have something like 14 metas active) & keep the specifics from anyone wanting to know
Merged the above quotes for ease.

...Yes?

Already went over this earlier but Belle Sabreuse got hard tied into JU very quickly due to Yara, White Hawk, and saving her life. She was right there for Dynamite which is near impossible to hide. She's already locked in both due to Yara and White Hawk while basically having had the secret blasted into her face and healing her.

We told Chihiro because of the mix of Leizi trusting her near implicitly off prior experience of knowing she's in their corner and frankly? She's the PR head, she needs to know this type of thing so that she could put spins out and defend in public without issues. Its necessary to her job.

Wolong is the 3rd pick for leadership in many ways because the rest of our options are not fit for leadership off of sheer experience level currently. And he is a good leader judging by how he kept the appearances up but that doesn't matter. We made an alliance deal that we have not yet followed through on meaningfully. Get through multiple New Dawn related missions first and then we would have shown that we are going through with things alliance wise.

We know Miss Naught and Gentleman James have liked working with us, we still need to build up with the rest. JU and ND were in fact antagonistic after all, Palisade iirc was part of Novalight's faction there will likely be some measure of bad blood still there. Why would it be a bad sign of treatment in the merge when we have not worked with them all on a major level barring exactly Black Swan? Build that trust with the non Wolong end naturally while proving we're good heroes by working through a decent chunk of our New Dawn actions and showing we can put our money where our mouth is.
The two people I said were not me saying we shouldn't have told but as me pointing "proper obset" is bullshit when technically people don't have to know like technically none of our non-empowered heroes needed to know by the same meteric but that's not true the best way for someone to keep a secret is to know they have to keep it a secret

I also feel it's a good way to intergrate new dawn into JU and not have them feel like a separate faction in JU.

Also it was already pointed out your wrong about palisade being pro nova light when she was anti-LL because she stole her boyfriend

Also i couldn't find who said it but for who ever said New Dawn was found out issue 2, PP was found out issue 1

Honestly we should just wait until Bitterman actually puts up the mission list for Issue #4.

No point in trying to figure out the non-Major/Time-Limited missions right now. In addition to new missions, there might be changes to older missions since many of Issue #3's missions involved Crusade who just underwent a major shakeup.
Eh. A degree of preplanning is good. It helps us go in with an idea of what we should be going for. Fortunately for us, we've got 6 of the 9 AP already accounted for: Reality Check(1), Puella something(2), R-Train(2) and Demon Flamez(1). That leaves us with just 3 AP to decide upon.

OrbCo is the producers of the official* Justice Unlimited toy line.
(I wrote a non canon omake that's mostly a list of toys based on the members of JU. I need to figure out something for Belle, and Yara once we know what all her powers are)
If you mean the trial pack specifically, thats a reference to how after reading the Red Iustia scene i thought about a snake in a barrister wig

Oh wait,it's actually not a Monoverse reference
damn

We could Keep New Dawn the team active if we let them keep their name. Heck we will probably need to keep them as a separate team in the NID.

They have a base in the University District (The Zenith). When we subsume them we'll probably be able to take over their base entirely, place whoever we like there, including them.

Huh, this is an interesting perspective.

OOC, we know we'll be trying to rescue them immediately, and should hopefully have a decent shot at doing so.

IC, we know we'll be trying to rescue them immediately... but we don't even know where they are? Or if we'll have a chance of success? Maybe psychic!Yara gives us the where, but JU is making this decision with every prospect that LL and Chatelet will not be back for a long time. Even once we figure out where they are, well, people don't just leave the Frozen Throne.

Which sort of explains why they've gone to Wolong for assistance, rather than let the Mona/Ellie chaos show run things temporarily. They don't know it's temporary. I guess that pushes a little for revealing now -- waiting to not reveal LL's secret makes a little less sense when you don't know when (if?) LL will be back.

Really depends on the length of turns. Seeing as this is a superhero universe, I would hope they have a little more faith that Leizi is not dead for at least one more issue. And if they learn that she's trapped in the Frozen Throne, that would lead into a retrieval mission rather than a contingency. It is known that teleporters can leave (probably only 1 time but still), so I'm not sure why there is an urgency to prepare for succession?

People know something called Project Prometheus exists, and correctly suspect it involves power enhancement. Compared to Wolong's New Dawn Shuffle, that's like if LL had known he was padding the roster, and suspected New Dawn membership might be as low as 10 metahumans.
