Also we now know about SB's limits: she can only have one copy of an individual active at a time. Copies take a nonzero amount of time to dissipate after they die, and she cannot create a new one until the old one has finished dissipating.

Joules cracks another whip made of plasma at you, but you swipe it away with an almost-dismissive backhand gesture.
Man this is an image. Also LL actually has Static Shock's power? NICE!

But, to his credit, Joules knows how to fight. He claps his hands together and gets you off him a geyser of plasma. You just barely retreated before the upward bolt strikes your face.

Handyman calls in his regular voice, "That it's actually worse in a lot of ways? That you can still be a bigoted without being a bigot?"

What's happening right now is why I wanted to either Fort Up or Escape. We're too isolated here now that the fight had split us all up too much. Sucks that we likely won't be able to permanently deal with Socialite Butterfly though.

Given that Menagerie Witch is in the Null range, it might eliminate Quetzalcoatl.

Another consequence is that we're losing 1/3 of Exceed Beyond's powers when we've been explicitly told this is Socialite Butterfly hasn't played her full hand yet and this is her opening gambit.

I mean, the consequence is it probably takes out a full third of our team for what could potentially be the rest of the fight.

Shame Black Swan isn't in the house. A relativistic missile to SB's face would probably end this, and for the moment we are capable of perceiving exactly where she is.

That or it would trigger whatever safeguards she has. But there is a reason she was told not to attend to this personally, and I doubt it was just about continuing to hide her existence.

Seraph isn't much of a threat right now compared to Memoria who can game over us if he runs with Yara, so I think he's our priority target. Seraph comes second to sever SB's command and control.

Man o' War is our third highest priority since he's a massive threat to everyone in the room, but we can get him to stop focusing on us by trying to attack SB. I imagine she has a shield generator like Faust though.

True enough. It's a gamble if we think Valiant Gold can solo after the Power Null blast. It should catch everyone in the room and leave VJ and VG as the only people in the room who can fight.

The other boon is that SB can't snatch Yara away with Memoria now, SB can't command her clones or make more of them, and she'll be at VG and VJ's mercy, but it sounds too easy of an answer. I feel like there's a consequence I'm not seeing.
Wed be down a Blue our most bullshit one too. But I feel like we need it to take control of the fight as an early advantage.

Thats the biggeest danger yeh MW needs to get out of of Power Null Range. Though apart from Seraph and VG none of the others are fliers.

So Nevermore and Get Yara and DS away from the House?

John can put a barrier on Yara though to keep Memoria from touching her just like he did against SB. So I think we can focus on Seraph.

Actually QM doesnt Power Null only stops a Meta from using powers? So would MW in Power Null remove all of her Creations?

Edit: Also is Yara free or still in Man-O War hands?

Will Power Null affect everyone on the house or just those close to VG?

Has Seraph sent out the Kill order already?

Socialite Butterfly Power analysis:
-Calls her clones 'her Admirers'. I think 'her Kalidascope' would have been better (that is the name of a swarm of butterflies), but SB ain't getting marketing advice from me
-Can only make one clone of someone at a time: evidence not!Wolong
-Clones must die before they can be replaced: evidence not!Wolong
-Clones melt 'like wax' and SB needs to wait until they are fully melted/some unknown period of time before making a new one, that time period is likely on the order of minutes or less as SB was willing to wait for it before evacuating: evidence not!Wolong
-Clones are 'Short lived': evidence Issue 1.4 Posthumous
-Clones need instructions to act, and SB needs to communicate that to them verbally (or verbally to a telepath then telepathically): evidence not!Wolong/not!Seraph
-Clones also for want of a better phase run out of steam: evidence not!Wolong, though this may just be Wolong's power limitations

Unknowns:
-Exactly how long it takes before she can make new clones
-Exactly how long clones can last before needing to be refreshed
-How many cloned people she can have
-Are the clones maintained by her power and if something nulled it what would happen

Other questions:
-How does Indemnity's power work? Does it require touch? Do they have to predesignate who the injuries are transfered from/to?

We need Man 'o War to let go of Yara, but he's ramped up and we know the man is invincble. Cutting his arm off isn't happening. TK maybe? I don't think we can pry Yara away with TK.

Wait, maybe Belle? It's testing if her sword can cut straight through, or if she can make Man 'o War's skin weak enough that we can cut through it. Problem is that it requires getting into melee with Man 'o War.

Shutdown of Crusade. A woman with the ability to "seal" whoever she touched. She could take away one thing from a person at a time, whether it be their sensorium, ability to move, ability to use their powers, or any other number of other things. Died in the Movement.

Indemnity of Crusade. A "healer" able to transfer injuries from one person to another. Also died in the Movement.
I think there's a typo, they couldn't have been members of Crusade before the Movement.

Belle power only affects objects but She should still be able to make her sword stronger that Man-O War. Since Singularity Sword.

"No, seize her! Her, you fools! Yes, grab that little bitch. Bring her here! I want her to know why she's being replaced before I dispose of her."
Wow, well we get our first real look at Scarlet Butterfly as a person, and I am very disappointed. At least Faust had some style to his evil arrogance!

This bitch is outright doing a full-on rant before she finishes the job! You could have won if you just touched her dumbass!
"You! Formulate a plan to get those soldiers killed and Justice Unlimited blamed for it! That is exactly the kind of opening those fools in Crusade need to do our dirty work."

The person in front of you—Wolong?—makes no sounds other than a pained, rasping gurgle.
Well everyone called it but at least we get confirmation.

"Are you all used up again?! Already?! Useless! Useless! What have I done to be cursed with such worthless Admirers?! Kill yourself so I can make new one, now."

The gurgling sound repeats and then you hear someone draw metal. There is the sound of a blade piercing flesh, and the figure in front of you begins to melt. Like wax left in the sun.

"Well, I suppose we won't be going anywhere for a moment then! That's fine . . . that's fine. I can be patient. I am the very portrait of temperance. Isn't that right?"

"Yes, Madam!" a number of voices chorus at once. And . . . one voice that sounds only in your head."

"Delightful! Perhaps I will play with my new toy while I wait . . ."
Oh my God she calls her clones Admirers? That's just sad.

In the middle of everything is a tall, blonde woman. She wears a blood-red evening gown that clings to her curvy frame, and white, elbow-length opera gloves. Her hair is styled in an updo and secured with a diamond tiara, and over her eyes is a black mask shaped like a butterfly.

She can only be Socialite Butterfly. The mastermind behind all the attacks on Yara, and the architect of this battle.

She sticks a thumb in the unharmed Seraph's mouth, inspecting her teeth like a show dog. She laughs in amusement, delighted with herself.

"Ah, this improves my mood from this wretched day! My very own telepath! How I've coveted one—they've so accursedly difficult to sneak up on!"

She turns to the injured—the real Seraph—and strokes her chin.

"But you, little bird, just fell into my lap. Didn't you?" Her smile is like a cruel joke. "And you were good and didn't warn anyone about what was going on, weren't you?"

"Y-yes! Yes! I didn't tell anyone anything!" Seraph's telepathic voice 'says', "S-so you see you can trust me, right? Y-you can let me go?"

"Let you go? And let someone else have you? Why would I do that?" Socialite Butterfly waves a dismiss hand at Man o' War. "Dispose of her before she finds her courage. I have what I need of her."

"N-no! Wait—"
Well at least we don't need to have to worry about Seraph anymore? And can hopefully get his DNA samples.

It also looks like Seraph was aware of her coming to some degree, so I am assuming the rest of the Horae guard knew but both of the others are gone right now. Also, till now she did not have a telepath which is interesting but now no longer very useful to know.
She throws her head back, laughing. "Can you believe that slut Speaker forbade me from coming in person? Forbade. Me. As if that whore is better than me simply because Hand speaks through her!"
Well we are going to be doing our best to make is clear Speaker was right.

Also, what is with the slut shaming girl! I could forgive the psychotic murder
"She'll learn who is better. She's making the same mistake your cunt-sister did. She's taking what is mine!"

She starts screaming, spittle flying from her mouth.

"Harper was well on her way to learning her place! I might not have even needed to replace her the way I did with Mother and Father, but then that bitch stuck her nose where it didn't belong! She had me investigated! Men sent after me! I had just come into my power; it was too soon. So I had to go into hiding. Me!"

It's disturbing, watching a room full of dispassionate clones and motionless bodies stare at a woman who is absolutely out of her mind.

"I was this close to adding every major CEO in Horizon to my Admirers. I could have had this world on a string. But instead, I go on the run! Because your sister didn't know what was hers. And then she takes my sister—my Harper—and makes her a hero? Take her where I cannot risk getting to her? She. Was. MINE!"
Holy shit, is the bitch really this pathetic? Is Scarlet Butterfly really nothing more than a Narcissistic bratty woman-child that never grew up who won both the genetic and superpower lottery to be born with all the power you could possibly want yet still commits atroctiies for more?

Oh, and apparently her abuse of Harper was to have her "learn her place' without replacing her. Which raises question of why exactly she wanted to do that. Is that her twisted form of compassion for her sister? Does she somehow view clones as lesser in some way we don't see? Are there other people she is trying to make "learn her place" without replacing?

Oh, and apparently Nora interfering really pissed her off and messed with her plans. Not sure how well her CEO replacement plan would have actually gone given the mental limitations of her clone in doing a complex task but good she failed, I guess. Honestly given her personality it shocks me she has the patience to have not attempted any plot to kill Uiara and kidnap her sister before they died let alone was composed enough to get her clone without acting out.
"Well, now I'll repay the favor! I'll take her sister for myself. And then daddy-dearest will have to obey his true betters rather than run to the Horae Guard!"
Also a little more lore on Elysium.

Apparently our evil corpo dad has some disagreements with the Philosophers. He also apparently has used the Horae Guard to protect himself so presumably there is some degree of legal control he has to leverage to make them to guard him. Something SB is trying to end via getting Yara which is why Seraph was not supposed to tell anyone she was involved. So this was in part a gambit pileup where daddy wants to use crusade to get his daughter, SB want to use that as cover to grab Yara herself and we are trying to save her because of Uiara death message.

Joy.
"You? Attack me?! ME?! And my darling Admirer?! I needed him! Now anyone can remember me!" Foam flecks at her mouth as she begins to hyperventilate. "You all will have to die!"

She points to her Seraph. "Send the order! KILL THEM ALL!"
So, we can record proof of SB's existence now include her Uiara clone which will go a long way PR wise to combat things. But I am very doubtful that we can share that info without the retribution being way too heavy to take. I imagine it is something along the line of the Moon River quest where we need a bunch of top-level heroes before we can attempt it.

May take a while but i look forward to when we can finally do it!

Smokes the update like a bong

Here we go. Damn. So much going on. Ellie and Nora really broke Stockpile in more ways than one... I'm not sure he can come back from that, honestly. At least it's dramatic and fully in-character. It is disgusting to sacrifice others just because you are scared for yourself. Abusing prisoners for personal gain like he is, is... Really American.

Other than that, our Rep rolls really shone. Ete basically letting Handyman take her out is actually really poignant. Poor Brass Shield being just some kid that everyone took pity on...

And I was wondering why the Rep roll with Sunlight Knight worked out like it did - I wouldn't have thought that some dude proposing to Chatelet out of the blue would have been a good thing - but it really is a great thing that he's actually on our side for that part of the fight.

And man, Socialite Butterfly was everything I expected! I fucking called that she was salty that Uiara 'stole' Harper away from her. It's an eye for an eye with this awful self-centered woman who has coasted on stolen powers so much that she can't help but monologue excessively. If we get out of this her peers are gonna really hate on her.

Unfortunately, given that Memoria and Indemnity are there, I assume she will just teleport out if it seems that she herself will ever be in personal harm. Always having an exit plan is just good planning. But it would at least secure Yara's personal safety...

My thoughts plan-wise: start out VG on Paper, this is a target-rich environment. Target all clones, fire with prejudice. If the team on the house is all in a line, Railgun them. Ideally that might make SB retreat and help us recoordinate.

Have MW release as many Apep and Shelob clones to support the house team.

Have LL take out Uiara, taking advantage of years of experience knowing how her power works and its blind spots. Same with Chatelet and Ophelie - but with the added twist of how Chatelet should coordinate heavily with SK and share information regarding how the clones dont have complex thoughts.

It's tragic and sad but tactically speaking it makes all the sense in the world. Also I'm certain Bitterman can't resist making those scenes and would give a bonus for that.

Handyman should enter his centauroid war-form and try to help take out Umibozu - water ideally wouldn't disperse his form too much and hopefully any crossfire from the soldiers would not hurt because of his clay body.

Swan should just blast all the clones she can, but focus on Nox because we know he can teleport. Ideally she would try to absorb any blasts from Crimson Soprano too to hopefully enter Hypernovae mode.

...I fear that White Hawk will take advantage of this chaos to try to steal Yara or Belle, though, or try to opportunistically kill LL, so we should probably watch out for that too.

I'm not too clear on DS's shield status. I thought he could only have three shields up period?

I have more thoughts but it's 3 am, good night.

I think some regular Maddie clones should be able to handle Memoria. After all, SB won't let him retreat without her and Yara, and his teleportation is only useful for infil or exfiltration, not mid-combat fighting, so all he can do is run at normal human speeds away from Mittens and Barkavious clones.

...could Belle's power break an energy shield with the same density-lowering trick? Or would it only work on actual matter? Might be worth it to get her to break Pallisade's barrier.

Leizi has a mild elemental advantage against Uiara or Umibozu. Water is conductive of electricity, so she can use their attacks to extend her own range.

Belle power only affects objects but She should still be able to make her sword stronger that Man-O War. Since Singularity Sword.
Yeah, we're gonna need Belle to use her singularity sword and get a good swing at Man 'o War. If we can do that, Valiant Gold can grab Yara and run like hell.

The problem is getting in a position to do that. Man 'o War is a melee specialist and we're inside a cramped house. There's not much room to outmaneuver him and we can't go outside either because the VIP is inside the house and in our enemy's clutches.

The alternative is that we focus on killing Memoria so they can't run, and have someone keep Seraph and SB busy. VJ is the wild card in that we don't know what he'll do, but his goal is getting Yara out of here. I think we can count on him to keep Man 'o War busy.

Actually QM doesnt Power Null only stops a Meta from using powers? So would MW in Power Null remove all of her Creations?

That feels like an extremely easy solution, which probably means it's more complicated than that. Putting the potential issue aside of SB having a contingency plan for what happens if she's caught out cloneless, the result could theoretically be anything from that to a brief shutdown of every clone in the vicinity to forcing her to take time to respawn them all to who knows what else.
