And honestly? That should be fine for us for 2 more issues. Well probably three if we don't push to make new heroes too much. I mean, we all agree using Cain is a bad idea, so we only have three potential recruits anyhow.

So I say we're fine for the time being when it comes to slots, no need to make heroes and then toss them into the wind yet-
Or like at all
As I say, hopefully we can get missions to get more "natural" superhumans, so we don't force many cover stories, since the current candidates are too public for other people to question "since when they had powers?". Maybe we can grab Belle if everything goes alright.

Emotional Vampirism Power would ve a good reason for it not be known

Same with Telepathy and Telekinesis though the biggest queestion is why there only chosing to be a hero now.

For Song atleast giving him youth through autobiokinesis is a great cover.

well if we use what they said about Mona as a Baseline the average age someone to me develops their powers is a little older than 15 and without some unique situation your powers will typically be underdeveloped without years of training so information most Heroes will probably be between the ages of 19 and 21 when they first start for flashy and less flashy powers
so like besides Algernon-type
your options of why weren't you a hero
my powers are bad
my powers are kind of evil
I didn't want to
or I have external winning circumstances

[X] Plan: Protagonist Immunity
-[X] Give a shield generator to Menagerie Witch, Handyman, and Doctor Silver, and gift one to Belle Sabreuse. Give the healing symbiote to Lady Leizi.

[X] Approach this like a lunch.
I expect things to go wrong.

I'm actually debating two ideas for a Nox build.

Nox + Hunch + Eastwood.

The last 4 is either iSpy, Chatroom or Memoria.
Memoria would stack Teleport so itd be boosted to the level of Monas flight.

Nox doesnt have invusibility or ally empowerment. Though Chatroom Range could boost Nox emeotion eating range.

Similar to how DS got perfect space recogniton in a 100 yard range.

I'm planning this whole arc out and cackling to myself like a madman. Thank god I let you have VG and DS this turn, or I'd have to scale this back as to not make it unwinnable.

In Faustian you threw down with Scarlet Maturity. Now, you face one of his peer metahumans and [redacted].

Just had the funniest realization: any character with Transformation or Autobiokinesis inherently lends themselves to a legacy hero.

Faust: Finally, I killed that— who are you?
???: I'm Handyman II! I'm a sexy claymation man/woman/genderless spirit! Also I can shoot laser beams out of my hands as well as do all the other things Rhys could.
Faust: …you have to be kidding me.

Handyman Power being given to a T10 and Improved with new edition would be fun yeh.

Oh jesus christ, you know
The next few issues are going to be smoother. It's time for you to build your organization as you want for the mid-game when the next batch of stuff hits the fan.

No, it was very much not normal lol. This is you finishing the tutorial. Now you gets some time to build.
When you said this way back after we just got done Faustian, I thought you meant we're not gonna be fighting someone on the same level as Scarlet Maturity or just being in a shitty situation in general. Apparently that ain't it!

It's a little different . . . ?

You'll see. I'll say you've out yourself in an excellent position to begin, unrelated to the vote.

Right, haven't voted

[X] Approach this like a lunch.

I think I'd wanna go softball approach on this one. As much as I wanna get tf outta there right away, earning trust is important.

I'm also hoping, with how much of a wall Hero Worship seems to be building up, that this means Reality Check won't be as big #huffingthathopium

...I've been thinking about it, and I'm going to throw an extremely wild and optimistic guess out there, based on nothing but a hunch. If it's right, it might make Socialite Butterfly a bit less scary. If it's wrong, well, I at least tried.

We know her metahuman clones still have their powers, but... if the clones have the exact same power, then maybe... What if her clones run on Project Prometheus rules?

"Okay," you say, forcing yourself to stay calm, "What is happening? Explain. What is ontological resonance and how do we stop it?"

"Doesn't work like that. It's not something you 'stop'," Valiant Silver says, "It's like teleporting into space that's already occupied. We're trying to exist at the exact same spot on the psychic plane at the exact same time. We're cutting into and annihilating each other."
You're in essence taping to the stage using the previous DNA locations as "routes" to get to where you power is. If someone is still alive when you cross their route, you collide and get ontological resonance.

What if Socialite Butterfly's clones can only have the same power as their originals if the originals are dead? Or hell, maybe only cloned individuals who are already dead? That still makes her scary, of course, particularly in light of how many heroes died in the Movement, but we might not have to worry about cloned Kings or Black Swans or such. We'd "only" have to worry about cloned Novalights and Cismas and Heavenly Astrologians, and such.

that means were Probably gonna end up fighting a Red Huntress Clone when hunting SB.

unless harper managed to make sure her sis doensy have anything to clone her with

I mean cauldron blows ass true, but from a meta perspective it'd help remove the hard narrative cap on hero building once the roster gets large.
I mean we lost a metric ton of heroes in the movement narratively getting more is good
Plus I think the pump n dump strategy is a bad thing because I don't want our guys to be dissected for our secrets
I mean we are going to merge with our friends New Dawn, and assuming their base is like the Apiary means we would get 4-5 new hero slots depending on if Arc is going back onto the Hero stage

And honestly? That should be fine for us for 2 more issues. Well probably three if we don't push to make new heroes too much. I mean, we all agree using Cain is a bad idea, so we only have three potential recruits anyhow.

I mean what's the point in spending money things to not make heroes

To be fair, it's not like everybody gets registered as having powers. With our excellent reputation, we can use the excuse of they had powers, but did not feel heroic enough to use them.

Oh man we gonna have to make VG do the new fight and face off against Crimson maternity

I'm actually feeling pretty good about cast size. Of everyone in the cast, I only feel like Chatelet is hurting for screen time and she has stuff coming up. The biggest issue was juggling folks on missions, and limiting mission team sizes will alleviate that.
