Fwiw I do think this arguably is the play it safe situation. Leaving immediately prevents any rep loss directly from this but lets Crusade continue pushing their message without pushback which is rather major. Delaying the debate could probably work as that given it is easier but even if we get the audience on board its fundamentally not giving us any actual proof to go with and isn't letting us get meaningful progress if Seraph just gets an easy PR slap on the wrist given their media blitz.

Getting Silvio to go against them in a way that is fueled by the advantages roll is only risking some reputation most likely. The loss condition for this is minimal when the future gains here, driving the wedge and having proof to at least publicly restrict Seraph's position is massive in comparison.
