Huh! That would make sense as to why SM is chewing them out for trying to take shortcuts in the way to power.
That doesn't make sense, though. He didn't have any visible reaction to Princess, and in that convo, he was referring to when they tried to recruit him to the HG ages ago.

However, it is probable that White Hawk and the rest of the HG are trying to steal Princess for the power boosts.

It does feel like there must be a SM connection here — these two images seem way too similar for it to be random:

As does the image of a red, horned skull eating a man alive.
One is blood red, glowing, and shaped like a cow skull
(A cow skull… presumably with horns? @Bitterman It wasn't a female cow skull, was it?)

But based on the lack of reaction from SM, maybe it's more some type of power copier than a familial thing? Where she has is currently emulating SM's power and that of whoever that curly-haired person is?

(I wonder if we've seen anyone notably described as curly-haired before, hmm.)

It had horns.

There's an extra train of thought:

So, Monarch adopted Princess, and Princess regards Monarch as her mother.

Which implies that whoever her bio mother is, they aren't alive right now, and died either in childbirth or when Princess was a baby or toddler.

It would probably be fairly easy to cross reference a "deaths inside Wonderland list" with the timeline and get some candidates for the mom.

I NEED AN OMAKE OF SCARLET MATURITY DURING THE CARNIVAL
Hmm, temptation

Um... Bitterman, how you describe Scarlet's approach to carnival games? Would he go full power, and 'win'? Or would he like... hold himself back just to point he can win without 'destroying/cheating' the game. How much satisfaction would that give him?

Huh I wonder if Princess is Valkyrie Daugher?

Or is she too young for that?

We know There a Voice of a Betrayd Mother atleast.
...If Valkyrie was Princess' mother, and she thought the Horae Guard had taken Princess, or killed her, that'd explain why she tried to destroy Jacob's Ladder. A mother's rage would destroy the world.

...That is pretty interesting. The reference to a "betrayed mother drifting from an unending imprisonment" does seem a lot like Valkyrie.

But the Susurration was ~27 years ago? So she would have to had to have the kid while in Wonderland.

Though, notably, the "betrayed mother" line comes from Nora in 2067. So it does seem possible.

He going to win, utterly. Holding back is for lesser creatures.
Random curiosity: is there a moon city, or is that going to be the next step after the spaceport on top of Elysium?
It was supposed to be the next step, but the spaceport is still unfinished.

If Valkyrie is the mom, she had her after being in prison for about 17 years. Which isnt impossible if she was young enough when she went in, but is notable

Ah, that does put a hole in that theory. Unless Valkyrie did in fact get pregnant while she was in there, somehow.

Well, if that "betrayed mother drifting from an unending imprisonment" is Valkyrie... she didn't have a kid before Wonderland, as far as we know? Which would imply she must have had a kid in Wonderland.

I don't know how likely it is we would know, if she did have a kid pre-Wonderland -- sorta feel someone on New Dawn might be aware, but I don't really know.

Pairings with natural potential:

Black Swan/Menagerie Witch: basically sisters already

Black Swan/Valiant Gold: THE FUMBLERRRRRRRRR

Valiant Gold/Doc Silver: basically filling Ellie's parental void, tech heads

Chatelet saved Maddie's life in the French Restaurant Fiasco, and Maddie and Rhys do have some rapport as well.

I'm assuming prisoners in Wonderland had some contact with each other, because long term solitary confinement tends to be extremely bad for mental health and while they aren't chill or stable Monarchs gang is managing logistical concerns and making and honoring trade deals and long term plans. So the timeline doesnt necessarily rule out Valkyrie as a mom

Well, the plot thickens. A lot.

I say only Leizi and Chatbot interviews to prevent the risk of exposing our Goldnine secret.
With our team Espionage of 40 and a DC of 10 we can reliably* succeed with 3 people including LL. 4 if we use LL's ESP DC reduction, 5 if we do that and people are willing to spend Omake points

*succeeding even on a roll of 1, or 2 if 1s autofail 1s dont autofail

I've been doing the math.

We have 40 Espionage. The DC of the roll is 10, but the opposed Espionage is 10+(number of people besides LL). As Bitterman noted, this means that if everyone gets interviewed, we'd be rolling with no bonuses. With "You are Lady Leizhi", the DC is 7.

If we assume we can add +5 from omake bonuses to this roll (and I'm not sure why we couldn't), then we in fact just need to not roll a 1 to pass this. We literally just need to roll a 2 or higher.

...I don't know what would happen if our roll bonuses ensure we would succeed on the check even on a 1. Maybe we'd still fail it? In which case we might as well bring everyone.
