Would work really well enough bonuses to pass by butning point of worst comes to worst.

Also VG and DS could work together for using the cover of being Tech Heroes instrad of Metahumans that tehy teally are.

Obviously Bs getting more rep is never a bad thing and MW decent rep is good to be boosted too.

Well, I didn't actually want this mission, my turn plan didn't include it. I think talking directly to the media is a bad idea given Crusade's humongous resources and connections, and the inevitable backlash we will receive for hoarding the goldnine secret. We should gain strength first and control the narrative later.

We have 40 Espionage. The DC of the roll is 10, but the opposed Espionage is 10+(number of people besides LL). As Bitterman noted, this means that if everyone gets interviewed, we'd be rolling with no bonuses. With "You are Lady Leizhi", the DC is 7.

If we assume we can add +5 from omake bonuses to this roll (and I'm not sure why we couldn't), then we in fact just need to not roll a 1 to pass this. We literally just need to roll a 2 or higher.

...I don't know what would happen if our roll bonuses ensure we would succeed on the check even on a 1. Maybe we'd still fail it? In which case we might as well bring everyone.

Nah weve reolled 1 but passe through bonuses before.

Its why its best to only have 2 pairs along with Leizi to make sure we dont fial in the cover since thats Vital.

Having mega stats to autopass checks is the point afterall.
 
Thinking on the debate segment, I'm wondering if having Ellie throw out the "were you trying to manipulate my mind? Or are you being manipulated?" Would be less of a play to get Silvio to question his beliefs and more to see if that gets White Hawk to sweat or look upset or nervous.

Its not a samll rosk its the cover being in doubt and risking discovery of prometheus.

Having 5 in the interview is enough. Chatelet is already famous enough and as Espionage expert theres a reason not to have Handyman do a public interview

I want Châtelet to do the interview though, to capitalize on her great speech at the memorial and because as an established hero in her own right she has credibility and a unique perspective. Idk who to pair her with tho

Edit: Maybe Doctor Silver? They havent had much screen time together, but they've both been in the game for a long time, albeit in very different capacities

I was right about Silvio and the rest of Crusade being on the outs and not even bothering to pretend to not be assholes. I was completely wrong on the cloaked figure, but no one was expecting that one.

Also I'm pretty sure if we have chance to get Scarlet Maturity to fight the Horae Guard in an excusable way he will take it.

I agree with five interviewees and Chatelet x Doctor Silver. Two adults who can speak maturely and project experience, then two teens who can appeal to the youth and reinforce each others' cover stories about naturally evolving powers.

Valiant Gold should come along to present an explanation on why we're 'appropriating' Valiant Silver's image. Her partner? Can't be Black Swan because she will fumble, so by process of elimination, Mega Witch.
 
Did Steelheart have a master key that would let him bypass Cisma's locks, or would have had to bring them inside or remotely contact them if he wanted to talk to a prisoner?

We need BS for her REp and Because Chihiro is only gonna join up due BS having 10 REP. Its too much of a waster not to include her.

That said Point about Chatelet and VG.

So how about having a teen and adult.

Black and Chatelet: As the heir Presumptive and new 2nd in Command they also havent had screentime together before.

Valiant Gold and Doctor Siver: Two People connected to Nora and cover of Tech Heroes due her invetentions.

I dont think she needs to explain that, as her surviving team we're the natural inheritors of her legacy. Like the angle here is attacking Silvio for stealing her work and name, not mounting a superfluous defense of the fact that LL found someone to carry on Nora's legacy in armor Nora made and left to us.

He's a mass murderer but he's so goddamn funny. Of course the literal strongest man on earth will decide to play carnival games based on strength. Of course he'll pop up to a superhero fight wearing carnival trophies without a care for the world, threatening everyone to stop because they know he treats his "probation" like toilet paper and no one can actually punish him if he decides to break it.

What are they gonna do, freeze his bank account?

The point that the Horae Guard tried to poach SM and he said no implies some interesting things with regard to the relationship between Faust, the Philosophers, SM and the Horae Guard.

I kind of just want to say "fuck it we ball" and just let everyone join; but failing that I actually think we should put Châtelet, Black Swan, Doctor Silver and Valiant Gold. The second in command, the rising star and the people that had their debut at this very event. RIP Rhys once again though...
 
Honestly? Given the complete Clusterfuck this turned into? I count this as an absolute win. No rep loss, More information out of a clusterfuck situation where everyone is doing things we don't have much intel about, No little girls got kidnapped, and we kinda understand were monarch is coming from. If She went into wonderland as a teenager, and then we had a found family story on top of that?


Funnily enough, I can't decide if this knowledge makes monarch MORE or Less dangerous in my head. On one hand we know exactly why she is doing this, to protect her daughter, Who also seems to have at least the members of Monarchs court wrapped around her fingers as well. On the Downside? Monarch will be Perfectly willing to set the world on fire, and kill as many poeple as she thinks is necessary to keep her child safe.
