[ ] . . . accept.
Ehh, why not.
[ ] . . . agree to Ellie's offer.
Most of us were planning on doing this anyway, so sure!

Yeah, definitely agree to Ellie's offer and switch to having her get the Spoonful of Sugar and Prometheus this turn.

As for White Tiger...ugh, that Nat 1 is screwing us over here. I'm gonna have to think about this.
We dont need to switch just have her Sugared and Prometheos next turn. She should still be on time for MG mission, maybe even R-Train.

Edit: For White Tiger I'm willing to risk it as espionage Hero we should have more chance to figure out what shes hiding from us. The fact she knows about Ronin means its better to keep her close. Keep your friends close and enemy closer is a thing afterall.

Also, yeah, the Interlocutor is looking like they're going to be a problem for us in their own right. Apparently kidnapping people during the whole Leviathan stirring incident, giving Yellow Qilin the information about how her power and the Frozen Throne pieces interact...though we still don't know how YQ is even getting the rest of the Throne pieces.

A very unfortunate nat 1!

Everyone note the fuck down that the Interlocutor implied that he was a piece of the Leviathan but nonetheless essentially acted as an agent of the Frozen Throne in expanding its influence. While he might just be working against its creator, it's also possible that the assumed animosity between Leviathan and the Frozen Throne is actually fake as fuck which would be incredibly alarming.

Anyway for white tiger making sure she has reason not to rat out ronin is good enough now for me. Future will depend on exactly what shes hiding and us needing to look into it.

Edit; Also with Chichiro and Noelle we need to reveal the fact she can use it due to Project Prometheus it should buy some time by making them believe its a project for VS successor who was going to retirement due to rebound.

@Bitterman Can we make a counter-offer for her to join Justice Unlimited? I know she likes being free an all but she has by chance stumbled upon a very important secret and even if she would never tell there are literal mind readers running around. We kind of need to keep her in sight for OPSEC reasons.

Ronins cover sadly isnt worth bringing White Tiger in and risking Project Prometheus maybe if we critted and actually know her deal but not wiht a crit fail.

Edit: BTW the fact the girls can last through issue 5 means as long as we fouc on R-Train we only need 1 saved up for them to be safe so thats 2 more heroes meaning Noelle and Yara can go online the minute we get them. Since both yara and Noelle needs Sugar.

T4 Noelle and T5 Yara, should be the plan. Mainly Since recruiting Yara means we get Belle too for more ap.

Ronin gives a soft chuckle, but quickly turns serious. "Zixuan, whatever 'Project Prometheus' is, it has them running scared. If they can't get information on it soon, then it's possible they'll resort to force and justify it later. Justice Unlimited is the only organization standing in their way of domination Horizon."

So we expected it but this does confirm that Crusade is likely going to push for force sooner rather than later, we're going to want to get Yara and Noelle up and running as soon as possible, alongside recruiting Bella Sabruese + the Demon Flame people.

"Wonderful," you sigh. You suspected as much, but having it confirmed was another thing. "Anything else, I should know?"

"They're planning to appear at the memorial you have planned for next month. They're not so foolish as to interrupt the ceremony, but they've arranged it so Valiant Justice, White Hawk, Sunlight Knight, and Joules will be invited to 'debate' Justice Unlimited during your interview afterward," she warns, "I'm told they tried replacing the hostess, but underestimated Ms. Takanashi's popularity. Instead, she'll be co-hosting along with Juan Bonfim."

"Joules? They're bringing that coward?" you say incredulously.

"He's their only member who was at the QZ during the Movement," Ronin explains, "And there's no hard evidence he fled. Without something concrete, your accusations will only appear to be self-serving."
Here, the confirmation IC that they're coming along and bringing someone who ran will give time to help provide hard evidence that he did. A Leizi with time to prep is a dangerous Leizi and frankly even if its after the funeral trying to set yourselves up as debating mourners should be easy to turn.

You snap your leg out on instinct, and, as you do, you make contact with White Tiger who appears from thin air with a gun pointed at Ellie's head. You strike is true, and White Tiger is sent sprawling to the ground before disappearing and reappearing on the staircase.

You immediately pull Ellie behind you and look for cover. You have a shield generator; you should be able to get close enough to take White Tiger out. But that would leave Ellie vulnerable, and there's no guarantee she won't just teleport again—
Okay, what's telling here is that she made her opening move to point her gun at Noelle's head. Even if it was to try and push for a hostage moment to talk, her doing that is stark.

"You had us beat from the start! Ronin works for you? Hells bells, how do you compete with that?"

You don't relax your stance. You see there was another playing card on the stairs—a limitation to her power?

"Now, don't worry," she continues, "I promise not to go tattlin' if you don't! Goodness knows, the Big Puba won't be too thrilled if she learns I'm chewing the fat with you!"

". . . just tell us what you want already," Ellie sighs.

"Straight to the point! Can't say I don't love a direct dame!" she says jovially while snapping her suspenders," Well, alright then! I'll cut to the chase: what's a gal gotta do to turn her coat?"

"You want to work for me? Against your organization?" you say slowly, "Why?"

"'Cuz this operation's gone nuttier than a fruitcake!" she exclaims, "Extortion? Blackmail? A protection racket? That's all well and good with me. But magical girls? The Frozen Throne? No, thank you ma'am. That is not what I signed up for. I don't like holding a bunch of kids hostage."
Its possible she's telling the truth on holding the kids hostage and feeling bad but frankly that doesn't matter. She's heard the info on Ronin, we can't let her get away in any major form. We need her out of the picture or tied to us to protect Ronin's position. Still, what's interesting is she's trying to push for asking for this rather than running. Yellow Qilin only has so many resources and they're semi tapped as is.

White Tiger could probably have split from Horizon and made it pretty easily, especially with a teleporting power even if restricted, trying to bring up even the option of the offer means she has something holding her back here for now.

"A name? A name is usually given to one by their progenitor. Mine does not yet understand the concept. That is my duty. I do not yet have a name. However, if you must call me something, you may call me by my role. I am the Interlocutor."

White Tiger continues wringing her hat, her disconcerted feelings plain on her face. You feel a headache coming on. "The Interlocutor". You've never heard that appellation before. Yet another thing to add to your never-ending list of what must be investigated.

"Yellow Qilin stuck that piece of The Frozen Throne inside of herself, and the rest, as they say, is as the news reports. Things went wacky after that."

She's leaving something out. That much you are certain. You try to examine the girl in front of you. . .
She's leaving something out here but this is already far more information on this front than we had already and she could have gotten away with not needing to spill even this much I imagine. Also cynically, we can't catch her here and now, if we don't agree she's free to spread Ronin's information as a bargaining chip. She is anyway, but agreeing at least gives her an incentive to not for the risk of a leak.

As you walk inside, Lizbeth gets bored and just kind of wanders off. As she does, a girl in a pinstripe suit, complete with a trilby hat, approaches you.

"Cool hat," she says, tipping her headgear at Menagerie Witch.

Your summoner looks mutinous, but slowly tips her hat back.

". . . cool hat," she says, reluctantly.
Also on the fun side, can we really justify taking down one of Maddy's cool hat buddies, even if its a reluctant one?

Given this I support accepting her offer. Sucks potentially using an action to mitigate the effects of a nat one but to me it's better than still knowing nothing about White Tiger.
Same I would prefer to use it on Butterly or Prince but hopefully we can handle it when Protecting Yara.

Edit: Also While we all pretty much agree on Noelle Deal to give more reason. R-Train was alway a priority since a stable supply of G9 means we can keep pumping out heroes as long as we pay for the hero slots needed for them. Its jsut the fires made us delay it and there are other short term gains we can go for like focusing on getting DR. Ibis lab.

So the deal really isnt bad us since it get us a T10 quickly make missions easier to succeed. Also if we give Noelle Valiant thats another one with Extreme Psychic Sensitivity to help diplo R-Train and one who can inform it of whats happening to the girls so it would allow enough g9 to keep the girls safe atleast.

Update stuff aside, since it's going to come up soon, how much/what does the public know about Dr. Ibis right now? Aside from being legally dead, of course, which everyone should know.

This is a question asked purely for curiosity, and definitely not because I am already preparing to write "But Who'd Believe That 2: Hibiscus Boogaloo" the moment the eTraction update is published. I see no possible way that someone declared legally dead suddenly appearing on live television could ever rile up a conspiracy theorist.

Okay. Silvio is the emotional weak link of the four in the debate, and Joules is the one that we can get info to break. Plus, we have the "You are employing my abuser" card with Chatelet.

You strike is true, and White Tiger is sent sprawling to the ground before disappearing and reappearing on the staircase.
Your
Gentleman James and Palisade are laughing with her as Miss Naught slaps her on the back. Dreamcatcher is trying to figure out how dream about her tonight without it being "totally fucking creepy" so he can reproduce her power.
how to dream
She is in the same medical unit she was before, and she still looks like she has one foot in her grave, but her bright blue eyes are open and aware. And exhausted-looking Alice sits in the corner next to her stuffing themselves with pasta, potatoes, and fruit.
And an exhausted-looking

Unfortunate on the White Tiger one. I felt like they could have been a recruitable, but also the fact that their intro was trying a front faced quick execution shows that there's a reason she went villain, even if she never quite expected to dive this deep into the madness of it.

Still, accepting both seem like the best option since we don't really lose anything from doing so.

[ ] . . . accept.

Never trust her..... but believe her when it comes Stoppping the Frozen Throne?!!! At the very least we can assume she does not want Horizon Destroyed

[ ] . . . agree to Ellie's offer.

I'm sold on her being E-B .... but do we need an action

also Bitterman.... Can I ask if we can see Wolong's reaction to Ellie and the events of the Perdition arc? Also to the revelation of Monarch's goldnine smuggling and stuff and the source of her funding?

By the way highly suggest we start rummaging through Nora's stuff..... At the very least for a method to contact R-Train..... The only other option I can thinkof is to give John Henry a power that involves Technopathy too communicate with R-Train....

Also personally would prefer the Cenotaph Reputation roll debate thing to result in nothing really changing or damages the rep of both parties.

It will come up in later updates. This one was overstuffed as it is.

And technopathy won't let someone talk to the R-Train. Otherwise, Moon River would have just done it.
