GJ and America basically had to fold into the Philosphers hand yeh. Hell ND didnt have the strenght to prop up anothe org while we were genuinebly able to help them stand on their feat.

We just took the option to absorb them to help JU recover even faster.

"Hi, Liza! Hi Buffy! Hi Bess! Hi Betsy! Ooh, Betty, that's a nasty shiner! Hi Elsie. . ."
God, they really are just all named Elizabeth, huh.

Family is a terrible thing.
Oof, Lady Leizi is really going through it. Especially since she lost the family she chose and is now staring down the family she didn't and is being reminded of why she left.

sorrynotsorry

"Every so often, you meet someone who thinks they are 'special' for having the 'original' idea to disregard social mores and take audacious actions that others eschew. That somehow being especially reckless and callous makes you better than other people," you say, "But what that person always forgets—what you don't understand—is that conventional wisdom exists for a reason."
This hits hard. This is something people should internalize more. This is, in essence, what Lady Leizi decided to do with Justice Unlimited.

Ronin has been your agent for ten years now
I was worried about Ronin being with Crusade last update because Lady Leizi once used Ronin to kill her dad, but now I'm worried for other reasons. The same reasons that Anansi is with Crusade. Is the a guarantee that Ronin wasn't hit with whatever Anansi was to make her join Crusade? Or would Lady Leizi have picked up on something if there was a chance of that? Here's hoping.

It's a sentiment I've seen repeated a few times. I just want to know if it's something with how I'm QMimg to see if I need to adjust my approach. I agree it's no fun if you always feel like you're losing.
I think one of the factors, aside from always feeling like the team is on the back-foot, is that there's no real big moments of downtime/low stress. Not onscreen, at least. Sure, there's lighthearted moments, but they're usually bracketed by Things Going Down. Like the Christmas party.

As for the vote, I don't think we should push our luck, what with the type of person we're dealing with. And leaving and ditching Noelle is a non-starter. I agree that buying goldnine feels like pushing the problem off for the next Issue, but it would also give JU a chance to plan a counterattack instead of risking everything in one blow. Especially since it would just be Lady Leizi, with maybe Ronin and/or Noelle fighting.
Only the stats of your allies in the room will count. No Chatelet, Handyman, or Menagerie Witch.
I'm leaning toward buying once and then coming back to deal with them later when better prepared.

Both of these mentions of Handyman should probably be Vermilion Bird I'd imagine.
The first time Vermilion Bird was holding into Handyman's shoulder. The second, Handyman was watching Lady Leizi's back as you don't know what powers White Tiger has.
Not onscreen, at least. Sure, there's lighthearted moments, but they're usually bracketed by Things Going Down
I definitely intend on adding more lighthearted moments in the fissure, especially now that the cast is larger.

Hmm seemingly letting Qilin win does work then Just hit her with 2 P13.

That said I feel like it doesnt commit to either taking them down like going Load does or doing all we can to help the victims by getting a large amount of g9.

[ ] . . . go loud.

Failing the immediate HIT check means Leizi takes an injury level. She's got a shield generator, and she's got Menagerie Witch, Handyman, and Châtelet ready to throw down and tear this rotten, turbo-evil organization apart. I'm 1000% more than willing to potentially lose a shield generator than let this insane monster make any more children into hostages.

As for having enough goldnine to supply the magical girls for now... they have at least one entire warehouse of goldnine, and we could potentially purchase three doses right now. There's enough goldnine here to last long enough until we see up a steady supply with the R-Train.
Ronin has been your agent for ten years now, ever since she helped you exterminate the Ghost Dragon Triad. She was your mole in Powers, and, although she's gone dark since the incident at Balthazar, you trust that she is on your side even now. Her removing The Brass Shield from the room ensured only she could report what was said and done her—and she would ensure only the minimum necessary would reach the ears of Crusade.
As soneone who ony read this after the changes, I found this twist to be really surprising and cool. Hell yeah, Leizi! Let's go!

Huh yeh stealing the 3 does that we can get from pushing our luck to help the girls buy tine does work.

Honestly it really is go loud or pushing our luck to me.

I honestly feel like we've been doing pretty well: Crusade's existence stings a lot, but we've never failed a mission and we're on track to great heights.
If we manage our missions correctly, we'll be able to do all of them without any expiring, and we'll also be able to grab lots of new heroes.

I think they don't have the doses on hand, rather they're going to call Monarch for more. Remember, the magical girls recquire a lot of goldnine according to the last part of Faustian.

I seriously disagree. But even in the worst case, we still have the dose we picked up from Rakeem's cache.

Also, we now know for sure that teleporters can get goldnine past the R-Train. Unless there's no goldnine here whatsoever, one possibility is making our own teleporter and getting goldnine immediately next turn that way.

Hmm Yeh we might need to ask Wulong for the Strenght+Clairvoyance synergy since Memoria can be part of that while still giving Teleportation.

Im not sure if Tag Team can let John steal away G9 without being detected. Wed need a way to port qz while make sure the R-Train is away and get enough g9 quickly enough to port out while making sure it doesnt convert anything.

Monarch power is kinda bullshit in that I'm pretty sure it counts as S-Rank.

I really don't want to spoil future consequences, but you are explicitly forgoing the chance at using any of the leftover goldnine by going loud. The girls will need every drop lest they get Throne'd.
I'm just gonna quote this for people to read, but if we choose to go loud, all the leftover goldnine goes to the girls who need it asap, I'd imagine.

I'd be fine with it though yeh it's reason I'm tempted to push our luck since id give us enough G9 for the girls while having enough for our high candidates. Atleast until we can get r-train supplying us so we can ambrosia med candidates.

Monarch is a potency 10+, yeah.
Yeh I dont think we can make a combo for John to be able to steal g9 for us.

Memoria's power on its own let Memoria enter and escape from the Frozne Throne. I don't know if we'd go for Tag Team specifically, but Memoria's power at a higher Potency level seems likely to me to be enough to pull off a goldnine heist.

I'm more than willing to give up Ambrosia doses to help the girls here and prevent any more from becoming victims.

Hmm going Loud is the Shonen Way thats probalby somtehing Uirra would do stop the villains now so no more victims and try to help existing victims in exhange for losing ambrosia for new heroes.

Push Luck is a Guile Way get ambrosia to power new heroes, while still helping the victims but allows qilin to get more victims.

I genuinley think both are viable though, Going Loud failure is more sever in that it could lead to several deaths, while Push our luck just cost us money, which is bad but manegable.

We'll also likely lose Ellie's the cooperation if we leave without doing anything to the Triad. She only agreed to play the part of our prisoner to get a shot at putting a stop to the Triad after all.

Going loud is genuinely risky especially since we're severely outnumbered, even when Ronin has high HIT and the magical girls are amateurs. If we're to assume there're 3 girls per Directional Beast, that'll be 16 combatants not including Yellow Qilin. We also don't know what Brass Shield is gonna do throughout this. On our side we have 5 including Ronin. It helps that they're not coming at us all at once but that's still quite the number. I imagine it works like waves of enemies come per turn.

6, Noelle will help too, and she's got that switchblade on her.

Brass Shield is probably going to help us if it comes to a fight, since at the end of the day, the Triad are the villains here and if he sees Ronin fighting them, then he'll most likely act in support of her.

@Bitterman does LL know Ronin's capabilities/can we get a ballpark of her statline? I'm leaning towards the straight buy, but thats partially because i dont know how much help she'd be in go Loud or Press Luck.

Is Nora having a deal with R-Train confirmed or thread specualtuon? I assumed she just found a way to smuggle g9

Go Loud would be a lot more tempting if Black Swan was here

Ronin's power is that she gains the combat prowess of anyone she kills, and she's killed all of the yakuza and a good chunk of the triads, plus probably more. She's almost certainly at peak levels of martial skill, even if she isn't super strong, fast, or durable.

Well, we do know Ronin most likely a HIT hero based on her metahuman powers
Ronin. Blademaster who gained the martial skills of whoever she killed. Personally destroyed the entire Yakuza presence in Horizon. Generally a pacifist, but recently has seemed to have returned to her previous violent ways.
Also likely got contracted while she acted as a spy during her time in Powers

If he hears the fight in the other room he'll probably assune it's JU and "JU" ganging up on Ronin

I Know that, but whats that work out to in numbers? Hit 6?

Another thing to consider: Going loud means we don't have to spend AP on a mission next turn to attack the Triad.

That still means hed have to fight the MGs, Untless his so stupid he doenst evenr realize our team is fighting the mgs and they fighting against JU.

Theres still a follow up mission after this. Though that one would probably focused on helping the victims and stopping them from gettting Throned.
