"Very." Opale closes her eyes. "Is it okay to feel this much happiness when the people you love are gone?"
...I hope she's not talking about Jean-Luc or her mother. That'd be the Stockholm Syndrome and gaslighting talking.
"What? And how old's your mom? Based on the look she's giving Mr. Chaucer, maybe we'll both be getting another sibling on top of that!"
You are now obligated to give us the ages of Marisa and Mr Chaucer.
But like, let's be honest. We're internet natives on SV. At least 50% of us were as aware about sex in 8th grade as Maddie is rn.
I learned about sex in the 6th grade! Did you never get sex ed!?
The barriers can be any thickness she chooses, but the gravitational effect occurs in a strength proportional to the size of the barrier. The more barriers she creates at once, the weaker they all become collectively.
That didn't stop her from almost(?) killing Blue Skies.

I could alter it so that instead of grey it's silver? Or red? brown?
Hm I'm not quite sure, come to think of it I am probably just biased against a brick costume because all it reminds me of is a goofy Spiderman villain named The Wall. Personally I would lean more into the gravity aspect and go for a silver spacesuit with thin armor plating/patterning, possibly similar to the costume for Repulsion. The castle theme can remain with the name and sigil.

I also really like the double meaning for Chatelet. It's subtle, but still about Opale's powers in an indirect manner.

[] Plan: Shield Bash
-[] Name: Chatelet
-[] Costume: A slim, form-fitting silver space suit with thin armor plating over vital areas.
-[] Emblem: A Buckler

Why a buckler? Because it's one of those shields that can be used for an attack, like a punch with the edge. Perfect for Opale who can use her gravity powers to also hurt people like Blue Skies learned. Castle as a symbol isn't really great, I'd say. Castles are big complex things after all, which don't really fit for emblems which are meant to be small and easy to distinguish symbols.

As for the outfit, I like billowy sleeves is my only reasoning. :p

Suggestions are welcome however!

EDIT: Stealing Sulverf's idea for the outfit. Spacesuits are great and make sense to tie in with Opele's gravity powers!

Hmm I like the name and Space suit Idea, and Rook does seem more fitting as an Icon with Opales powers.

[X] Plan: Gravity Rook

Actually, yeah, a chess rook would be better as a symbol. It represents a fortification which is defensive like Opale's barriers, but a good player knows a rook is great at attacking too which describes her powers perfectly.

Name: Vulcan, Augustus "Gus" Schulte
Power: Algernon-type
Faction: SLAYERS
Potency: 13
Ibis' Notes: It seems doomed love and SLAYERS are inextricably intertwined, because Vulcan is the former lover of our Handyman.
He was an Algernon-type, specialized in metallurgy. He made all of the weapons and armor used by SLAYERS and often sold his creations to clients such as Steelheart and Valiant Silver.
He never pushed his power too far. He was too afraid of the Rebound. There is a certain wisdom in that, perhaps.
@Bitterman So was this part of the reason why Chaucer didn't seem all that familiar with the inner workings of an Algernon-type? Along with the fact that by the time Gus entered the picture, Chaucer might've been semi-retired at that point?

Okay, so this Fill-In issue might not involve Mona's psychic connection as much as I thought, insomuch as she won't be astral projecting into the past. If PREVAIL makes it's debut and it does touch the Stage, she might get involved.

...what if Stockpile's breakthrough or thought on Nora's "reckless usage" of the Stage was instead of diving into it head-first full blast for a short period of time, he's instead focusing on a smaller, weaker, but semi-permanent connection?

Likey QM did say Prevail is a Vergil to Exceed Dante.

E-B shows a semi permanent connection is possible its just to properly used E-B a strong connection especially for dynamite is needed.

Algernons are Potency 13 so I can Stockpile working on reverse to E-B of weak but semi permanent connection which gives 1 form but stronnger than the individual modules.

Exceed was basically VS usong Dynamite to use the other Modules. E-B sepreates Opening The stage purely through Dynamite module.

Also, Wolong is going to Osayin headquarters. That might mean Jair, Yazmin and Yara's father, could be in attendance. We know he's going to be a villain we oppose for Yara, maybe he'll be aligning himself with Stockpile/the Americans?

You sign in irritation, and then look at your other tab and sigh in even more irritation.
sigh
"I'll say," Mr. Chaucer adds, as he walks up, "Good God, is still keeping this up, John Henry?"
is he still keeping this up
Mr. Chaucer begins choking and Mr. Rhys hits on the back until he can breathe again.
Rhys hits him on the back

Mona texts you that Lady Leizi caught her and Mr. Rhys, so you'll have to complete the mission on your own. You roll your eyes. Posers.
This one is just amazing. It's so good. It adds so much support to the characterization that Maddie has already been showing.

[X] Plan: Gravity Black Rook

-[X] Costume: A black fullplate amor with gold highlights, leather boots and gloves
-[X] Emblem: A Black Chess Rook in a Blue Field

I already expressed my preferences for Opale's new suit to be black, so here's another take on the Rook thing. Inspired by this picture of Louis XIV:

By the way, thank Moon River for doing our negative PR attack on Powers for us. All Opale needs to do is officially state that Gwen was a transphobe for the cherry on top. That'll stop her from getting dialed up on Hero For Hire for a good bit.

...though I am sad that Eve isn't aware that Anansi is being drugged and mind-controlled. If it's at all feasible to free her, I hope we can do so.

I know I'm probably just being paranoid, but given how it's been said that this had Consequences and that the Fill-In might inform our decisions, I'm now expecting our planning to have a giant XCOM 2-style "PREVAIL Mass Production Project Completion" stat that certain missions will lower through sabotage to buy ourselves more time or something.

Honestly with Wolong being present there and informing Lady Leizi about its contents, I fully expect an additional time-limited mission that occupies our already limited AP and forces us to delay certain missions back a turn, as a direct consequence to that Fill-In
