FFXIV nerd warning — I'm sorry in advance, it's my current favorite game —

If you're talking "can she be as scary as Sadu", no. Sadu is sexily scarily strong, in so many ways, and that is just… beyond what Noa will ever be capable of. Of the Au Ra NPC's, she's closer to Cirina or Mikoto — noncombatants with a particular skill niche they fall into. (we're talking the two of them lore-wise — I know both Cirina and Mikoto took the field during certain gameplay segments, but it's pretty clear that that's a concession to MMO party-centric gameplay than it is an idea of their actual combat capacity. Particularly noteworthy is Mikoto's near complete combat capability during the Shadowbringers relic questline.)

If you mean the sensory component inherent to Au Ra horns? Yeah, she has that. It's even come up in story — go back a chapter.
No other Au Ra can be as scary as Sadu.

No matter how much Little Sun might try to insist otherwise.

That said, I feel like you're doing Cirina a disservice given she's noted to be a Warrior of the Steppe's and on multiple occasions leads various groups into battle. The first of which means lore wise she actually had to pass Bardam's Mettle herself. And sure she might not match up well to Sadu, Little Sun, or even Yugiri. But that's less about Cirina not being very strong and more about just how crazy strong those three are.

Though, that does beg the question, is Noa a Raen or Xaela?

Oh, that actually brings up the question of what kind of eye candy is Noa's particular fair?

Does she prefer Blondes or redheads? Tomgirls or tall girls ect... ect... ect...?

She's Raen. Clearly.

Emma Frost.

Okay but seriously. She likes tall, she likes a bit of muscle (but not, like, bodybuilder — functional muscle, though she won't say no to some lady abs), and she is partial to fellow blondes.

There are some things she does not like — to much bulk, for one. And then there's things she avoids due to negative experiences. Which she shall not be sharing.

To me the Green Goblin has always been 'just' Norman Osborn with certain mental breaks relaxed/taken off. Less an alternate personality and more Norman Osborn unchained with super strength as a bonus.
To use DC for comparison, Norman really tries to be Lex Luthor, but has a self-destructive tendency to slip toward full Joker as the Green Goblin.

With Cirina in particular, it's worth noting that she has cleared Bardam's Mettle by herself - it's a rite of passage for all Xaela on the Steppe in the lore. She might not be the most martially inclined Au Ra, but she can still bench-press a horse and is a rather scary archer capable of taming Sadu .

So what you're actually saying is "Carol Danvers".

No no no.... We already know who. She had a cameo in the past already.

Storm. Sure she's older, but Storm ages amazingly well.
My pet crazy theory is that bit of Storm's background where she was being worshipped as a goddess actually matters and it's not so much she ages well as she doesn't age, because obviously goddesses don't do that and this is a setting where worship has actual, tangibly measurable power; she's probably just accedentally ended up as something akin to a New GodAsgardian.

Character creation aside, the game has Raen with dark horns/scales and Xaela with light horns/scales. 🤷‍♂️

I wasn't going to judge.

Add on Mystique to that, and I'm left wondering if "Bad Girls" are also her type.

Doesn't Lex Luthor too, on his worse days? Though Norman does seem less good at managing it.

Depends on the writer. A lot of folks like to write him as turbo-competent with a Kryptonian-shaped sanity shatterpoint, some have him be cartoonishly evil with a great PR team, and from what I recall Young Justice (cartoon version) has him as David Xanatos 2.0.

Given the lead writer there, the last one is a non-surprise.

However, 'genius corrupt corporate' archetype has a lot more wiggle room than 'cackling firebomber' in terms of writing approach. No matter what, you're gonna be blending in some flavor of off-kilter and immediate danger on top of/in addition to whatever plots get added in for long-term.

However you write 'Norman' on the sliding scale of competency, there will always be 'Goblin' to deal with too - as discussed earlier in thread.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, because most of my exposure to both is fanon or cartoons I last saw in elementary/middle school.

The way I usually see it is that Lex isn't always sane but he is always rational. He always has a good reason- usually several good reasons- for any given plan, it's just that where Kryptonians in general and Superman in particular are concerned he tends to go from zero to COWABUNGA IT IS with no intervening steps, and never asks if what he's doing is actually necessary or proportional.

Norman, on the other hand, is a typical corrupt corporate strongman until the serum, whereupon he decends into cackling insanity (presumably because it did interesting things to his brain's enzyme and hormone production, which is pretty much the quickest way to go off the deep end,) and starts firebombing things because they're there.

Sadly Lex's viewpoints are not relevant with this story or setting.

Norman's not Lex Luther, nor is he some mastermind at CEO'ing. Hell, take away his Jeckle/Hide complex and he's a non-entity in a Comicbook world.

I wonder if she's going to take time to teach some basic law stuff for the kids at Prof X's School? Even just once a month an hour or two of like, "Shut up, really, do not say anything. Not a Word, no matter what you are told, no matter what they do. The police are allowed to, even incentivized, to lie in the course of an interrogation, and they can decide arbitrarily when it becomes an interrogation based on perceived guilt. They will always think you're guilty, because of what we are and how they are trained. That's fucked, but its true. Again, Say Nothing. Call me, or another lawyer you trust and we'll do the talking." kind of advice would probably help those kids a lot I think.

… Oi. Get outta my notes. No, genuinely.

Stop leaking part of the a-plot from next arc.

I wonder how manipulative Charles is going to be portrayed? The man can read minds, and is smart/charismatic enough that he doesn't necessarily need to use his mind control to make someone do something.

Hell, with Xavier's vast experience with mind reading, he probably has enough insight into the human condition that he can just cold read people (meaning he might not even need to invade their privacy).

I look forward to seeing his portrayal, and how our esteemed lawyer reacts to him.

Honestly I would not be surprised if Xavier studied all the psychology because, well, if I was a telepath with his level of strength I would definitely want to have at least some idea about 'how not to break things' before finding out the hard way. And as he (usually) prefers to respect people's privacy in as much as it's even possible for him to do so (this being (one of) his principle issue(s) with Emma Frost, who doesn't care one whit about barging into other people's heads casually) I imagine he's put at least some effort into learning things like cold-reading and that mundane superpower, "Having A Background Check Done."

Xavier is going to return in the arc after this one, and it will be blatantly obvious whether this Charles is a good man or a bad one.

Considering Mags and Charles are both well intentioned extremists in their own ways…only time will tell what extreme the Prof leans to
