Before, I had it be a DC-lowerer while Rei was planning out her week, not a + to a roll during the updates themselves. This change was inspired by how Bitterman does it.

I think Bitterman's way- plus the limit- is a very good idea.

I'm certainly inspired from both you and them for omake rules, so I think you chose well to limit the amount we can fudge the result...

But also what about a situation where a dice rolls close to a critical success? Is upping that roll allowed?

Yes, but it's worth noting that while you'll get extra things once you hit the final threshold of the DC (if it's multi-DC) you'll only get the full Crit Success benefits if you roll 95 or above naturally.

Offer her time to process this before you explain everything, tell her now, don't explain at all, or what she wants to there. You can see it in her expression. She at least deserves a choice in all of this.

Seriously, I have never seen such bipolar dice in my life. This and Project Prometheus are nuts. On one hand we Rolled so damn hard we got a third protagonist out of it with Himari (Who was supposed to be a recurring boss). And said gremlin rolling insanely during the Labrynth Archfiend boss. And now were back here.
Proyect Prometheus is no better, just look at the whole Faust Arc rolls, how did nobody die is a miracle, although Rhys came VERY close...

So at most we can likely reduce the DC by 88 (25 from the Rei roll and 25 from the Kira roll). Compared to the DC being apparently so fucking high that an 88 point reduction might not salvage it.
