"Ace?"
"Yeah Mako?"
"What the fuck did you do?!"
Two figures stood at the edge of a building's rooftop, looking down at the landscape below.
One was dressed in almost fully black clothing, with only bits of yellow rings and highlights here and there to break up the almost black surface. They seemed to wear a sort of full body outfit as the first layer, a long over coat sharing the same design elements over the main outfit.
Their beige complexion flowing into their bright shining yellow eyes and matching flowing hair. That which both completed the look and helped to keep the strange girl's hair straight was a tennis hat sharing the same design as the rest of her attire.
It shaded her eyes as she looked over to her companion, the yellow waved trinket, almost crystal like in appease, clipped onto the hat's brim.
The other person to stand on the rooftop was oranged fur in color, body more feline than human- Anthropomorphic. His eyes, shining bright slightly grayed white matched the white ends of his hair around his ears and on the backside of his head.
They further matched his clothing, a set of large and feathered robes draped over his body. The fluff of it all making it hard to see if there were any separate pieces, only different shades to help tell where each limb was. What did separate itself from the clothing was the two wings justin from the back of the feline. Their stiffness helped to reveal them to be only part of the costume.
To complete the look, another strange, crystal-like trinket, hanging off the bipedal cat's left ear like an earring, its shape similar to that of a whirlwind spiral.
"What do you mean 'what did I do'? I beat the bad guy! Monster beaten, soul saved, we go home and eat ice cream!" The one in the black attire said, distinguishing herself as the one named Ace.
The feline, now no doubt the one named Mako, shook his head in clear anger as he looked down to the city, arms waving outward to encompass the large expanse of large skyscrapers and monorails, "Does this look like home to you?!"
"It's fine Mako, we'll just pull up home on our phones and fly back. No big deal!" Ace said, attracting the twitching stare of her feline companion.
"Oh. I didn't know you also specialized in flying Sis. Sure! I'll just let you take half the trip and I'll take the other half!"
"... Okay, fair point," Ace said, sucking in a breath, "We can take breaks and I can try to carry you when you're tired-"
The feline put up a hand to stop Ace from speaking further, "Nope. You are not."
"I've practiced!-"
"Into a tree! SEVERAL!"
"You're just not a good teacher," The yellow haired girl said, her face forming into a faux pout.
That only sent the feline further into hysteria, paws shaking close to his chest as he let out a wheezing laugh, "If you imply that Kaito is a better teacher than me… I'm going to steal your bed."
"... That is the lamest threat-"
"I mean steal, I will take it into my room and put it under my mattress."
Ace locked eyes with Mako, both sets of eyes shining as she muttered, "Don't you dare,"
The staring contest continued on as both their eyes and the trinkets on them began to shine brighter, color seeming out of their bodies and into the air around them, yellow clashing against dull white as the light seeping from their skin and gem like trinkets reached a breaking point-
Until Ace's hands fell onto her knees, looking down as she wheezed in laughter, Mako soon followed as the light that came out of them and their gemish charms flowed rapidly back into those strange objects, the brightness of the glow in their eyes dimming back to normal levels.
"*snicker* That- *gasp*- that was… really funny and I needed that but we-"
"I- *snicker*- I know bro, just give me a second."
Laughter echoed out and soon faded, both children letting out their last laughs as Ace reached down to her side. Something shifted and pulled and a pocket that was not there was not there, hand slipping within to pull out a classic smartphone one would find in the early 2020's. Hands moved around on the touch screen after its power button was pressed, moving towards the map app but stopping as her eyes looked at the top of the screen.
"Hey Mako, check your phone."
"What- oh stars above please no," Mako said, doing just as his sister asked. A phone quickly found itself in his hand, a similar kind to the one his sister used, and checked for the same thing his sister saw on her device.
"Why is there no service?!"
"Yeah! What the hell! We're in the middle of a city!" Ace said, waving out at the somewhat futuristic city around them.
"I… Ace?"
"Yeah?"
"If you breaking that mirror and stabbing the Cursed at the same time sent us to another country, I'm going to actually steal your bed."
"But I beat them!"
"DOESN'T MATTER!!!"

"WHERE ARE THEY?!" Screamed a woman, voice angry and desperate, their golden and pink gauntlets shaking a far older and balding man.
"I-I-I don't know! I- I don't know who you are or what- stop shaking me!"
"Auntie Claire- He doesn't remember. We checked already," Spoke a young girl, seeming to wear a witches outfit showing deep purples and light pinks, Her hat a dim red to match her glowing red eyes and flowing red hair, a brightness semantically matched by the paleness of her skin.
Claire looked back, her purple capes moving as her greyish jumpsuit underneath moved to accommodate her movements. Her hair glowing from golden to glowing pink and eyes shining the same bright color to match the heart clipped to the zipper on her chest, the man still held in one on her gauntlet hands by the shirt, "Even so, he might remember something with a bit of fear right?"
"Listen to her Claire," Spoke another figure at the scene, her faded cyan jacket helping to keep the slight bit of chill in the air away from her darker skin, black short hair somewhat ruffled as she stepped over to the one shaking the old man. Her cyan eyes, sitting behind black rimmed glasses, met Claire's glowing pink ones in a contest that lasted half a second before the strangely dressed woman sighed and let go of the one in her grasp, sending the older man flat on his ass before purple threads shot out of the ground, tightly wrapping enough around the man's limbs to keep hm in place.
"Thank you," The black haired woman said, kneeling down next to the man, seemingly old enough to be someone's grandfather, holding one hand to the deep blue crystal like trinket hanging by a thin string around her neck. The trinket glowed as her other hand, reached out the elderly on the ground, glowed a bright cyan, sending a strange wave of light towards the unfortunate soul who was caught up in all of this.
"I don't see why you bother checking again Les," Claire spoke aloud, her tone annoyed and disgruntled.
"He doesn't remember and you dropped him on his ass. Let it go-"
"Let it go?! ACE AND MAKO ARE GONE CELESTIA! What if it was one of our kids!? I'm not letting this go! Two of them just went just like that! What are even going to tell Ace and Mako's parents?! I'm supposed to be-"
Celestia's legs straightened up like coils, feet turning on a dime and a finger jabbed straight into Claire's chest. Pink eyes met glowing, deep navy blue irises, filled with annoyance, "We will find them. Get your depressive ass in shape or you're sleeping alone tonight, got it?"
Knowing best not to argue with her partner and knowing when she went way too far, all Claire did was nod, mouth silenced from speaking the spiraling thoughts, instantly killed off with only a few sharp sentences from her lover.
"Good," Les spoke aloud, turning around and looking down at the old man, trying to break free of the purple threads pinning him down, freezing in the sharp gaze Les pointed down upon him.
"If he does do anything though I'll put my boot up his ass. That help?"
Claire grumbled quietly, "And I'm not allowed to be violent to the old man."
Celestia's hearing, empowered by the flowing light passing through her veins, still caught the small whisper, giving a coy smile, "That's because you're a brute who can't control herself."
"And you're a cold hearted bitch who can't seem to consider the danger this bastard can put our kids in!"
Celestia gave Claire a deadpan look, "Claire- seriously?"
"... I went too far, yeah. I'm sorry."
"You're sleeping by yourself tonight."
Claire's eyes widened in shock, "HEY! I apologized!"
"After you insulted me like that."
"Still! It isn't-"
A loud cough catched the two bickering Blessed, looking over to the source- The witch hatted girl.
"... Um if you're both done flirting with a side of death threats, I think I have a lead," The witch hatted girl said, looking down at a destroyed road with a strange magic circle in front of her.
The focus of her attention was on a specific crater, the location where Ace stabbed a mirror straight through to reach the Cursed who made it, and where Mako had flown in to try and pull his sister back from the resulting blast of white light.
Both women stepped over, Claire taking the lead with confirming the child's words, "Are you sure Scarlet?"
"Yeah," The now named Scarlet stated, "I'm getting some sort of… tear? Some kind of space time anomaly here. It's a fading though- Auntie Les can you call everyone back? I need Anya and William."
"I can," Celestia agreed, taking out her phone, "I'll call Bubs over too."
"Thanks, now Auntie?"
"Yeah?" Claire asked with a curious tone.
"I need you to Curse the old man. Halfway should be enough for Anya to copy the power."
Celestia looked over to Scarlet, a disappointed expression on her face towards the young girl as she pulled out her phone, "You shouldn't enable her like this you know."
As Claire approached the elderly man bound to the ground by her threads, Scarlet sighed, "Yeah but she was ready to deck the guy and we need the power if we want to follow the trail."
Celestia sighed, "Fine- Claire don't actually hurt him! Just Cursing!"
Claire groaned a long, "Fineeee- How come here you bag of bones-"
"W-w-wait just a minute!" The elderly man attempted to plea, "I can get you anything my store has! The finest mirrors for free! Please- P-please don'-"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh-"

"Hey Mako?" Ace said, her clothes back to a natural t-shirt and jeans, eyes hazel and hair a basic blond.
"Yeah Ace?" Mako said, wearing a jacket over his own T-shirt, cargo pants around his legs with a modification to help make it easier to wear with his tail.
"I will pay you fifty bucks."
"Your bed is already mine, suffer."
The reason why was blindingly clear to them both.
The area, this city they found themselves in?
As people stopped and gawked at Mako's appearance and they noticed the signage that was all over the area, one thing became increasingly clear to them.
The speaking and writing were in Japanese.
They got sent to Japan.
They both had decided to not stand out too much in a strange city they knew nothing about- at least more than a bipedal cat would naturally be.
To do so, Mako had flown them both down to an alley and they both shed their transformations, their normal clothes and belongings returning as their charms moved places. Ace's charm finding its way around her hair, a thread forming off of it to become a hair tie. Mako's moved to his neck, the spiral forming in front of a white band that wrapped around under his chin.
The gawking was annoying to the feline but honestly they were glad no one was doing anything yet. Having to be on the run from police would suck.
In Mako's opinion, the plan fell through the moment he learned they were in Japan. What was the point in walking around like tourists if they couldn't even buy anything?! They had dollars, not yen!
What was the point in just walking around? It's not like they could do anything-
Both Ace and Mako flinched as they started to hear screaming from the distance. Cries of pain and fear that were understandable in any language.
People around them began to notice too, freezing or flinching in shock- soon enough people began to move back from the source of the noises.
The movement picked up as people began running past their direction from the scene, screaming something in japanese neither sibling could understand.
Both siblings met each other in the eye, their minds sharing the same thought.
Instead of running from the screams, they both ran forward to help those in need.
