  1. Takeshi's counterpart would have been called Usagi Takeuchi. Similar to how Takeshi was named after Kamen Rider 1 and the author of the first Sentai and Rider, Usagi would have been named after… Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon's author. She would have been a bit more approachable and share some vague tragic backstory with Takeshi and Archmage No. 1. More about that later.
  2. The leader of the Guild was, I shit you not, literally just, Rei's origin's counterpart in the Yu-Gi-Oh Sky Striker lore yadda yadda, Raye. The whole idea would have been that the Guild was (originally) a family business, and Raye was the latest groomed child in a centuries-long bloodline. Rei was supposed to be her clone, who was put through "normal" Guild training as some sort of twisted experiment— that's why Rei was able to gain power and Will so easily compared to somebody like Fuji.
  3. Meanwhile, while Umbra's leader was supposed to be "A Chuuni?" (Yes that's all my notes say. What was I cooking) The "Wizard" behind the "Grand Leader" was actually Archmage No. 1, Yamaguchi Izanagi. After the Great Magical War (which again, I didn't have notes for) he became disillusioned and after training four other Archmages to take him down in case he went too crazy, he went crazy and tried to use the Void along the Great Leader to return the billions of people who died in the GMW. Yamaguchi and the Great Leader would have had toxic yaoi.
  4. It was supposed to be [LOVE/JUSTICE/LIFE] and would have been gained after Rei locked tf in during Awakening Day. It was supposed to be a mini version of Zeke, essentially a proto Will Seed combined with Void Burst.
1. Cool
2. ...well that would have been a twist! I would have actually eaten that up, with no complaints. Also wow that kind of experiment huh. Some people are just dicks... smh.
3. ...Im honestly surprised I didnt think of that. Mentor going crazy from grief.
4. Man that would have been badass.

Thanks for the anwsers Kermie!

This sounds amazingly cool. Wow.

Going off from this, did you have ideas for Akemi and Himari's final forms?

I kind want to know as well if you had a Shadow Rei in there as part of her Development.

Also, did you have any ideas for the ending?
2 was answered above, I suppose Raye counts. As for the others…

1. For Himari, she would have had this arc where after finishing the (good but mostly defensive) Kamen Rider suit (Archfiend inspired) Hanzo would have kicked the bucket and it would have been because of his cybernetic implants. Those things make you go crazy, because they add too much data to your brain at once. Himari would have realized that she needs to use her technopathy and treat the implants as extrernal machines for them to work.

This would have coalesced into her Kamen Rider form (some kinda cyber knight thing) and her Magical Girl form having four limbs. There was a team up attack planned with Akemi where Akemi tosses Voidcutter to Himari and using the Void and all four arms Himari does one lightning slash before tossing it back.

2. For Akemi: Remember this?

Abilities:
A Small Bell

Three rings. A small golden bell, tied to the bottom of the sword.
(???)

It would have triggered upon Akemi's death from sources outside of Void Contract, or a scripted events against the first Nemesis/arc boss.(Nemeses?) It would have empowered Purrson into some sort of beast-inspired Shade/MoTW but on your side. After that there would be a "feed V. Cores to this for charges/rings" mechanic.

Eventually, while Akemi wouldn't exactly change up Voidcutter aside from juicing up its stats (instant range/black hole iajutsu is enough), she would have developed a telepathic connection with Purrson, who would have become a Kamen Rider OOO inspired Rider.

3. The ending requires some lore-dumping on my part. Basically the Void was like that thing from Chainsaw Man where once something gets eaten by it it's retroactively gone, and it would have eaten all the previous Kamen Riders+some famous Magical Girls. (Hey do you like Shouma or Madoka? Sorry they went into the Death Hole) The Void would have not only been the manifestation of negativity, but of forgetfulness, of how people adapt and ignore everything so quickly even after the world changes irrevocably.

Anyways the finale would have been Rei and Co, WRL, Lumos (MG org) and the last remnants of Umbra fighting the Void given physical form after the citizens realized it existed I think? Classic JRPG "fight a god bs".

Idle minor question, but was Hikaru using some sort of psychometric/empathic power to analyze and find that one Void Glyph from 2.15?
For his powers he basically had a mixture of Wolong (Project Prometheus) Numbers Man (Worm) and telekinesis, from Umbra human experimentation on him and Aoi. He would have found the V. Glyph through deduction but got distracted by Rei (whoops)

Oh this is open again?

Well, my question is this!
What was your feelings and reactions to the choices made in the character creation?
Oh and what was the reason you wanted to give people the option to build up the world there? For fun?

  1. Ex-Assassin x2 kinda gave me regrets as it's clearly a more "Showa KR" plotline that doesn't really gel well with the MG side but I did cook with it. The Guild might not have existed if not for that. Ngl tho, allowing Duel Manifestation in as a write-in might have been a mistake. If I had no idea what Yu-GI-oh was and came here for the KR I'd be so confused at the cards and spirits inside the cards. I kinda wanted the Spider and Fighter Jet write-ins to win, because I would have given Rei an original set of headmates created by me.
  2. Because I had no idea of anything in the world except for Umbra and the concept of Void and a bunch of miscellaneous Kamen Riders and Magical Girls, I told you I was making it up as I go lmfao

As for the "Introductions" missions, there would have been a Major Action to combine the two non-Aoi and Hikaru actions. They would have introduced Lumos, the Sunshine Bar being a sort of safehouse (which Jun's Place could later get upgraded to), and just general patrols and how to recognize WRL or Lumos members.

Artemi and Apollo were @Zetakille 's twin characters who's names I cannot remember rn, who were originally pursuing Rei behind the scenes before Takeshi skipped the line and just recruited her into the WRL straight up. I included them because they were a. One of the first omake characters and b. Because I didn't have enough OCs on hand lmao

Aoi and Hikaru's mission would have revealed the existence of psychics (just them… they think) while also introducing the concept of Wards: basically young adult-middle aged MGs like Aoi shadowing middle school and high school age MGs. Also Aoi would have had a whole subplot with her yearning for Yuki. (I can read everyone's mind, every social interaction is like reading out a script… except for when I talk with her.)

Solflare was Fran Marie. Yes, that Fran Marie. From Space Oddity. She would have gotten her powers from a Rampant Fire Glyph, making it so that similar to Kamen Rider OOOs KR Aqua, she needs to absorb fire in order to transform. She would have done this by having a lighter inside her belt explode. Also she would have been Shelley's sister and a butch lesbian.

Also this was totally Fran and nobody picked up on it lmao
What are some (let's say five) of the most destructive things Magic can do? What are the ways that Magic can kill you the fastest?
-Francesca, from Tokyo

Also the Rumor you rolled was actually Senkesha lmao so if you hadn't pursued that and let the deadline she would have gotten more powerful. (NOT GOOD when she's got the anti-healing attacks)

Going to bed soon, get your questions in before I leave in about five minutes, or you'll have to wait 6-10 hours before I can answer them.

Edit: night.

Honestly, despite how off the cuff it was, there was a lot of potential here. Sad to see this story go, but happy I was able to take part, even just a little bit.

Best of luck with your future works!

(Not related to the quest, but I'm curious: do you already know what that novella will be on, or are you still thinking it over?)

The novella will be set in the same universe as my next quest— think of it as practice for me. It's not another PLoMJ-like tho, it's more fantasy, following four idiots on a long journey to deliver… something. I want to work on it more tho during this weekend when my cold clears up.

Did you have any ideas for the Rei and Raye encounter(s)?
Uhhh I think it was just Raye unmasking herself and giving a breaking speech to Rei once Rei reached the Guild HQ. Raye would have had some sort of ability which instantly faints anybody except for one person in her radius, forcing Rei to fight without Akemi/Himari (and Dokuro/Senkesha, if they were recruited)

You said you felt like you'd disserviced the MG half of the mashup; could you expand on that?
There were two, maybe three teams of MG, but I didn't get to them, and Rei encountered a lot more Dark Magical Girls (Himari, Akemi) rather than any "traditional" magical girls (you know, pretty dresses when transformed, prob in high school? The works.)

It's mostly just a screentime issue, not helped by the fact that the Random Events shoved you into meeting KRs like Hikaru and Fuji.
